Great video. I like your patience and how you reason things out. I'm anxious to dig into mine but also pretty scared. Do you think it is at all possible to replace the jacking points/outriggers with out cutting out the floor ?
Thanks! yeah I'm still hesitant on doing the nose panel mainly because of how expensive it was lol. As for the jack locations from what I've seen yes you should be able to replace them without removing the floor. They attach to the bottom of the main rails that run under the floor so I believe all you have to do is pop the spot welds and it should come off.
@@VWBrennidon Ok great. Thanks so much. My floors look pretty good and the rails are for the most part in place. The outriggers are like crumbling dust.
You can’t not get it right away…. On the mean time you could use some POR 15 patch filler . It hardens really strong. At least until you can get the panel is they sell it or from a donor bus.
good job . a ton of work. hope it goes smoothly. cheers
Great video; pretty serious structural repairs but it will be worth it.
Thanks! Deff worth it in the long run!
stella work mate, good to see more and more rust disappear :)
Thanks Nick! Can't wait to start putting stuff back on instead of just tearing it apart.
Hey , mine is 71, but I have not yet gutted the interior yet . I will see if I have any access to that section and see if I can take a picture
Great thanks!

What’s up Bren. How are you? Looking like you are getting a lot done.
Doing good how about you? Definitely making some progress. Just about to the part where I can start putting some stuff back on.
Bren, where is that junkyard at?
It's in Culpeper Virginia. I'll be making a video there next time I go. The place is huge with tons of different vehicles.
