Overall I think Natsumi is the standout on this album. This song may have been helped with a bass solo or some of those extra sounds Bridear adds frequently. I like how Ayumi's and Moe's play off each other. They are getting along so well.
I agree it's not as exciting and there's nothing amazing about it. But like Cult, incidentally, this song grew on me. The vocal melodies from the pre-chorus through the chorus tend to get stuck in my head, as does the solo. I love the little galloping rhythm at the end of the pre-chorus; I think it helps kick up the energy.
She sings for a good portion in Japanese in this one, I don't think a lot of their songs are like that and It's crazy how much better that sounds to me compared to her English. Power metal isn't really my favourite genre so this will never become a favourite track as it's relatively generic power metal, but I enjoy it more than the majority of the tracks of Aegis of Athena and I don't have a lot of complaints with the exception of the genre. The vocals are a bit more cleaned than I would like, but it's actually not that bad. That said, I agree with you, it's also not really that exciting.
