One of my favourite places in Taiwan: The misty pine forests of Mt. Sanxing | 台灣我最愛的地方 - 太平山 (有中文字幕)

Join Andrew and I on day one of our two-day eastern adventure as we tackle the 85th peak on Taiwan’s small top-100 list (小百岳#085) - 2352m tall Mt. Sanxing (三星山) in Yilan County.

Hike info:
You do need a permit to climb Taoshan, but if you do it as a day hike you do not need to book a mountain hut and so the application will not be rejected.

Travel details:
The trailhead for Mt Sanxing lies at the 5.8 km mark of the Pingyuan Forest Road (平元林道) that leads from Taipingshan towards Feicui Lake (翠峰湖).
To get there you can catch the No.1750 bus from Yilan to Taipingshan (only one service per day each way). From Taipingshan it is another roughly 90 minute walk to the trailhead, although you could probably hitch a lift from passing traffic.

It is a cauliflower mushroom (Sparassis crispa). It is edible and delicious. Cauliflower mushroom taste very similar to snow fungus/白木耳 (Tremella fuciformis), but they are not the same species.

日據時代殖民時台灣的樟樹跟很多樹被輸出到日本。路牌拿起來後 再放回去 方向要放對喔 ,如果放錯方向 很危險的。另外,推薦你們可以去嘉明湖喔. 超棒
