    As a junior level web developer, I find that there's too much noise in the tech space. What you really need as an aspiring developer is that clarity of purpose when you are starting out, I mean; what are your long term goals in pursuing a specific niche of tech. Don't listen to anyone when you are starting out, except for for your mentor who is guiding you through your journey. We are all walking different paths but heading towards the same destination. We'll also have different or similar experiences in the job market. Just keep going. Deflate any negative energy that comes your way and you'll ultimately win big. AI talk is so big and everyone has their opinions about it.

      That’s just a “make feel good” comment. Deflate negative energy lol, tell that to people who have applied to dozens of jobs and can’t even get an interview. Again, there are folks with CS degrees who are struggling, that’s the reality in 2023. It makes me laugh to read advices from a Junior developer, assuming you even have a job in the field.

    Just my 2 cents: AI can't replace any developer, but makes every developer more productive. So projects that seemed impossible before become realistic now. The demand for developers will just increase.

    • @BusinessWolf1
      @BusinessWolf1 10 месяцев назад +5

      That's just stupid. Let's say AI enables any given developer to be 33% more efficient/productive. Well, after you have 3 devs using this, the 4th will get fired, because he is simply replaced. Yea, sure, some projects will not fire him because they want manpower to do big stuff quickly. But most companies are small, and are trying to get away with as little employees as possible, while still getting the job done.

    • @TheSoulCrisis

      Yes that's how AI is competing with low-code and low level developer roles now, not that it's intelligent enough to actually solve hard problems a real developer would tackle with the business sense, context, and intuition that comes from a real developer. Although in the future that may change depending on the pace of AI progression in various areas.@@BusinessWolf1

      Our job is to covert what we want into computer language so the computer can do the tasks. Ai can already solve problems and code much more efficiently than us at a much cheaper cost. Right now it’s a tool to help us but soon it will be MUCH more than that. Junior developer level tasks will 100% be obsolete. If you have 20 devs on a team you will literally only need 1 in 5-10yrs. There will always be a place for the top 1% engineer, the truly brilliant ones, but most of the rest will be gone. All you’ll need to develop a program is:
      1. Product manager
      2. Designer (maybe not even that)
      3. A guy that oversees the ai while it engineers/builds/codes/tests the product.
      If your position is predictable, mundane, repetitive etc (especially involving data) then that position is not safe. Coming up with a optimized “solution” to make a feature work is something ai can do 5000x before I can even read my ticket.
      Best case scenario dev jobs get cut by 80% if not more. It’s sad but it is what it is. 🤷‍♂️

I was confident it'll disrupt a lot of things at the same time, and that it will have an impact on web development, too. So I started looking into it, checking out what it can do and what it can't, and I started implementing it into my workflow. It will change my job and the way people in that industry work, but I think it's good to adapt to the new technology and to partner with it. Fear just makes you limb, better make use of the new possibilities. It's not that they are not readily available for me and everybody else to use.

    • @psychedelictacos9118
      @psychedelictacos9118 Год назад

      @Fernando-rw6vz it just means you can ask it to generate code that you can integrate into your web development project, for instance in the last project I worked on using an API in react I would feed in my current code to the chatGPT prompt, asking it to integrate an API using axios. ChatGPT would then generate code with an example API and give instructions on how you have to sign up to the API and get a key to replace the example key, you still have to understand the code to a degree, at least at a higher level what the code is doing and it is important to read chatGPT's explanation of what the generated code is doing as chatGPT is also a phenomenal teacher! Often chatGPT can generate standard Application features, however you often can't get chatGPT to generate one hundred percent of your code, at least at this stage. But it does enable you to generate a huge amount of code for your projects that you can often copy and paste into your current code and it will work or at least need a bit of tweaking here and there, it's honestly fantastic and personally makes coding so much more enjoyable and less tedious by removing that technical barrier to entry!

I am far more productive using AI tools to code, give it another few years and the work of 100 or even 1000 developers will be done by one. Once programmers are replaced most other desk jobs will follow with manual labour the only ones left until robotics catches up which will likely be sped up with AI too. Humans have always figured out, throughout history, ways to increase productivity.
      I can see that in supermarket, we need less cashiers, but now we need more people to put fut on the shelves because consumption has gone up. Also, logistics has become more and more complex so we need way more people now than before.
      Look at in old ages, we had monks to copy books, and books were only available for the elite, but now we can just print books and everybody has access to it.
      And if you actually think.. most people already use premade stuffs like WordPress, etc. to make websites.
      We now have way more tools to build websites, which would make some people think "oh shit.. some people are gonna lose their jobs as now it's way faster than before to make a website" but the demand for websites has gone up as well. Before, only big businesses had a website but now so many people have blogs, etc.

      But again.. jobs have existed since the beginning of history and it won't change.
      People even believed 2012 was gonna be the end of the world.
      You are just living in fear.. that's what the system makes you want to feel.

    Software not softwares bro, there is no such word in English, like saying feets and handses. It's not correct since its already plural. Good upload regardless! I think you're right.

    Been hearing about how "xyz" development is dead for over 30 years. Even decades ago people said "case tools" would make programmers obsolete.🤣🤣🤣🤣
    Nonsense. Being a software developer isn't simply a matter of writing code. If you are a real programmer you will be busy for decades to come. Also, AI doesn't exist. Its a miss used term, used to scare people who don't know any better. 30 year building software, not getting my info from some magazine but from 3 decades plus of working in the industry.
