Great video Kenny! I love how you covered a good number of personal skills to make someone stand out not just in plumbing, but any career for that matter.
Everybody has a different journey, but here's a tip that helped out big time for me:
I switched from the office to the trades. And before nailing a plumbing position, I started working with a carpenter for a year. I was honest and open with my boss telling him that plumbing is my goal. That year in carpentry made me SO much more confident and proficient with hand and power tools, as well as familiarity with job sites. That way, transitioning to plumbing was a more comfortable change for me.

Great story friend! That sounds like such a good experience that you had, and what a help with transitioning!

I personally am taking a short course at a nearby college that teaches the general basic knowledge and procedures of 4 trades. Masonry, welding, hvac, and plumbing. I felt that gathering some information and familiarity with the trade first would help my odds of being hired, because that way companies wouldn’t have the hassle of teaching someone who’s rarely used a tape measure before XD

Hi Kenny. If you have a chance could you answer please, what are the chances that plumbing companies would go for someone from Canada where they get probably plenty of applicants locally. What are your thoughts? I would love to move to USA and start working as a plumbing apprentice.
Lastly.. my favorite states to move to are Texas, Florida and South Carolina. Which state pays better and is not overpriced when it comes down to rent and other amenities and also easier to get a plumbing job? Btw what is your favorite state? :)

Best thing I did as a plumbers apprentice was become a commercial pipe fitter in refrigeration, you still get to pipe fit, no turd tugging and the plumbers dig all the trenches.

That sounds good bro. I just got accepted by the union. If I wanted to take that path, what should I choose? They've given me these options to register with the province.. Plumber or steamfitter? ICI, High Rise or Low Rise?

I wonder how marketable I am I have 5 years of plumbing in the navy but I don't know how to translate that into a civilian resume (different ways to say stuff as well as different code names) I'm getting out the military in a few months and would love to go into a plumbing career
