- From a footballer to drug addict to aspiring football coach: Changsang Ongbou
Ongbou is an aspiring coach from Tuensang who came all the way to Thenyizu village to undergo weeklong training course for AIFF D License certificate. He travelled 165 kilometers from Tuensang to Thenyizu village under Phek district. He shares his inspiring story how he fought against drug and return back to the pitch as a football coach to teach the younger generation.

Since childhood i know him by the name Ongbo,was a big fan f him...I dreamt f becoming a good player like him but after a decade we happen to meet in TSG local ground n to my surprise he was not the old ongbo i knew ...all skeleton 🦴 n his health was in very bad condition... Suddenly my tears rolled down after seeing him....But all glory n honour to God for who he s today...Ongbo m so happy to see that u r doing well now...keep inspiring the younger generation...Love u big ❤

He is my cousin. Not a soul who knows him will say that he is not fun to be around. He is funny, he was really good at football and most importantly he is a good human. Our perspective as a society definitely needs to change towards abusers. Azovi, thank you for sharing his story. And as a football fanatic and a hardcore Manchester United fan, i am just amazed at what football and love for football can do. I have seen this first hand through his story. Maybe Coach William and Co. can help people like him across Nagaland as we all work towards greater achievement in football as a state. Addiction is a Disease and it can be cured but they need support to give up. Please help those who are struggling to give up their addition. Family, friends and society should know how to deal with those addicted people. Show Love and Care, it will help them not to get relapse again.
