A handy tip, if no one has mentioned it. If you open task manager and hit "K", the process is called K launcher epic (or something to that effect). End this process to restart the game.

is there literally ANY way i can play this game without the epic launcher. the launcher has to be one of worst digital experiences of my life. i just wanna play a game man
i followed this videos instructions and got an error trying to open the shortcut from the desktop. if you add the launcher to steam then make that game a shortcut it'll work. i HATE epic
I use emulator on my laptop. My gameplay is up.
If you play via Epic you get 5% off all ingame purchases (or 10% during sales on Epic) I call that a win
@BeeAVillain You can just navigate to where the game is installed (WutheringWavesj3oFh) and pin the WutheringWaves.exe to your start menu and run the game from that.
Or just go the dumb route and get a tablet that can play it like did and just connect your controller with it. Lol
i wonder what is the point of having wuwa in epic games only for it to open the own wuwa launcher itself?
after the first step instead of making a shortcut i pinned it to the task bar and it worked

Something i've found (i'm on linux so it might be different) is that you can also add the game to your steam library and it runs after that.

Ctrl+Alt+Del > Processes>Epic Games and just close KRL launcher and start it from epic games
I was trying to remember how to get there. I went to task manager and force ended the tasks. That should work, if it doesn't, end it again and restart your pc

This method sometimes doesn't work. What I did was Ctr+Alt+Del > Task Manager > Close KRLlauncher > Reopen WuWa. The video's method is more consistent since it forces the launcher to open with the option to remove restrictions.

I do what you do to manually start the launcher, but my issue is that the launcher wants to download the game again. I even click it and it starts downloading the entire game again!!! Eventhough I can just launch the manually and play it. I need the launcher to UPDATE this patch that just came out. Before it would patch at the main screen, but now I need to exit game and use a launcher that doesnt even recognize the game files.
I installed with epic on drive D, but now I want to move to drive E but I don't know how? please help me!!!
The first thing you tried work the second one for some reason I didn’t have compatibility in my options
no it literally just says the game is running on epic games, i’m not able to click any options for it, and when i try to delete epic or wuwa it says “program running” or smth like that and i can’t delete them.
The epic games laucher might be running back in the background even after you close it so in the right down bottom of Taskbar theres an ^ sign click on it and from there exist epic games and then try to delete it again from control panel instead of simply deleting right from its location.
I am not some computer expert or anything so sorry if it didnt make sense or didnt work 😅
i dont even have the 3 dots on the game cuz it says 'running' and when i try to open the game they say " the game is already running' but its not opened, i checked task manager its not there either, so why is it running when its not

does anyone have the same issue for when u lauch the game straight away through the games shortcut?
you have to right click on the launcher in the files and hit "create shortcut" then drag the shortcut you created onto the desktop, not the launcher itself, or at least that's how i fixed it
idk if it helps anyone else but i had to change it on both epic launcher and just the file called launcher then i tried launching it through epic and it prompted a troubleshoot and it fixed it..............idk if that will help anyone but it worked for me

I first tried with Epic games, didn't work. Then I tried their official website windows version, also didn't work. This is the most trashiest client launcher I have ever witnessed, and no, I am not going to try any further than this to get the game work. Their loss, not mine.
