@@damage968 I'd say get a 2070. 3000 series are gonna be hella expensive. This 2070 can still do everything at high 1080p60fps(even cyberpunk). Ray tracing is still not good even in PCs and I hardly expect next gen laptops to do any better.

warzone is actually not as bad as people make it out to be. Theres many many other games that are worse off. EFT for example. I get 300+ fps on my 3080 in warzone... 100 in EFT.
I have build a new PC (5600x + 3070), just because I had 6 years old laptop but i7-4510u, GT 840M and it could only run games before 2014 and CSGO/Valorant on low settings. But glad I build a PC now, running everything on 1080/1440p ultra. 💙It's a different feeling.
People keep complaining about playing games at ultra settings. But one fact that I want to point out is that even if you play the games at ultra-low/low in 2021, it will still satisfy you in terms of graphics.

You might wanna repaste it and OC it, on GTA 5 i was almost on max settings (just not the crazy textures that would eat 8GB Vram) and high shadows, and i was at 80FPS in 1080p in multiplayer while recording, also you have a few stutters. Else i think the boostclock isn't stable and it'd be the laptop engineers to blame xD
Look at the temperatures, no issues there. I also find it hard to believe your i7 6700HQ can get 80 fps in GTA online while recording. My old r7 3700X got that and it's a much more powerful cpu.
Tips in laptops for more graphic and fps : don't play at 1080p low with just 30 - 40 and bad graphic . Play it at 720p high settings with 60 - 70 its better
Dude this has the exact same specs as my older brother’s old laptop!! I got to use it for a bit but then I got an HP notebook since my dad needed it... it was amazing while it lasted and it was the only time I ever played games with high settings still maintaining lots of FPS.
Horizon Zero Dawn: I don't think it's the HDD but VRAM is filled up all the time when using high settings. It's a bit below that 3GB limit with low settings.
Finally someone testing this card. I have a 2014 ROG G752VT, and its still kickin hard. Only problem is with the gpu being horrendously outdated. The i7-6700hq is still a solid processor, seeing as most games are gpu intensive. I wanted to find fps benchmarks without actually going in games and doing em myself.
I had the same laptop, it was struggling too much for me, i sold the laptop to my father and got a desktop with i5 12400 and 3060ti. Another world. Gta cayo perico lowest setting unplayable, wow shadowlands big frame drops on new zones...
Here's something I have noticed... some games actually perform much smoother with shader cache turned off. That's certainly the case with Star Wars Battlefront. Both 1 and 2. Might work in Fortnite.

Awesome buddy. i have just purchased a MSI G60 pro Gtx 970m with a i7-4710HQ. if it performs as well as yours i will be well pleased when it gets delivered on tuesday.Your i7 6700HQ is just 1% more powerful than mine. for old processors they are quite decent obviously they don't compare to good modern ones. but theyre still quite powerful for what they are. they are actually 6% more powerful than a AMD fx 8350 descktop Cpu. and 5% better than a Ryzen 3 2200G desktop Apu. i had a old fx 8350 P.c back in the day and it was quite good and run programs and games really well. for those I7's which are only 45 watts to run better than those. is quite impressive considering theyre old. Anyway Awesome video bud :)

@@subconscious.com_usa6691 My laptop is amazing when it comes to cooling, it has 3 fans and the cooling system is great (My temps are displayed in the video, along with fps, cpu usage, etc). Most gaming laptops don't have such nice cooling, so it's normal to see CPU and GPU temperatures reaching 85C at times. I recommend buying a cooling pad, it's definitely worth it with a gaming laptop. I don't own any, but search on amazon and see which ones have the best reviews :)

GPU usage isn't maxed out. A CPU doesn't need to be at 100% to be the bottleneck, CSGO doesn't use all of the threads on the 6700HQ, that's why it isn't maxed out, but it's still limiting performance.
Horizon problems where because the vram, that game ask for at least 4GB on 1080p medium settings, because I played 60 hours of that game with zero stuttering on a HDD, not SSD

I have a MSI gaming laptop with the same GPU from 2015, I was able to run many games of 2020-2021 on Medium and High, 1080p and 30-45 fps.
i7 3630qm, gtx 660m, such a common laptop i've seen used among many people and i have one as well so I'm genuinely curious how it performs

In Raibow Six Siege if you don't want high-cpu usage you can use VULKAN.
Doesn't bother me, it doesn't stutter and performance is still great :)
@28:50 "We are CPU bound as you can see". The CPU is at 40%. CSGO is heavy on CPU, but nevetherless, that 6700hq is not capping your performance.

The issue with intel laptop cpu is that they heat too much and dont even go to their max frequency only stays at its base only
