    This is my first time growing onions so this video was very helpful. How can you stop the birds getting at them, once they are outside and in the ground. Just subscribed. Thanks.

      Welcome! I’m glad it was helpful! This is the first year I’ve ever had anything dig them up but I think it’s a rabbit. Birds typically aren’t an issue but if you have a problem, you could pick up some bird netting really inexpensively, put a few stakes in the ground and drape it over the top. I usually have to do this with my strawberries and it works great. Good luck!
