As divers, we want to see the natural habitat clean and in it's best condition. I can understand how the fishing line was gathered in one spot. It really gets us aggravated when we are pulling cans and trash out. We always pick up the trash and dispose of it properly.
I understand the need for drysuits because of the temperature but I saw side mounts and extra tanks with regs and all the Tech Diving stuff. Is it necessary to be at a certain level of a Tech Diver to dive this location AND see everything showed in the video?
I have not been past the restriction at the keyhole. Some friends of mine have explored quite a bit further back into the cave. With the flow being very strong, it is very dangerous to go any further than what we show in the video. I am glad you enjoyed the video!
As far as the legality of the fishing regulations, I have no idea. We were there during the catch and release only season if that makes a difference. This was just gopro footage. If I have the original footage still, I could try and get a print made.
I am unclear as to whether you came out the same way you went in? fascinating footage but I got disoriented and could not tell whether you turned around or not
Mostly Rainbow Trout with some Brown Trout mixed in. The small brown fish you see resting on the bottom are called Wood River Sculpin. I hope this helps.
AHHHHH,,, waxing nostalgic,,,,, that was some nice diving! Need to get back in again soon! Thanks again for the invite!
Just 8 miles away, love it
Thanks for cleaning up that old fishing line!

That is a really cool video! Thanks. I have been fishing there for years.
I’m glad you guys did this to show us the awesomeness but I wouldn’t do that in a million years! :-)
We love diving, I love showing the underwater world to those who won't get a chance to see it in person. I am glad you enjoyed the video!
Great video! Some cracking trout as well !
Who knew it got that big? Great video and thanks for sharing the abyss.
You are very welcome! Thanks for watching it!
Great video! Thanks for sharing!!
My pleasure! I love sharing the underwater world with people who may not get the chance to experience it themselves!
Very cool to see the world down under there. Would love to see a diving team get footage of Blue Spring in Eminence, MO.
I want to go fishing there!!!
Why did you stop at the restriction? Does it go back farther?

Does the state park allow cave diving there for fully trained cave divers? Are there maps of the system?
Not that I'm aware of at this park but there are several springs in this part of the state. Missouri is called the cave state :)
I wonder how far back it goes after the popcorn room?
Rule for freshwater diving. If the water is cold enough to support trout. The water is cold.
I swam right over that and didn’t know what I was swimming over wow it was 10 years ago and I thought about it

Isn't it illegal to fish that close the spring? Wonder how that line got in there. Do you sell pics of the view 8:41 of the opening from underwater?

@@LR-bw4nv yeah I would definitely buy one from you if you could get a print made.
No, it is not illegal to fish that close to the spring, but there are many warnings about stepping too far!

Yes, there is only 1 way in/out
I am not sure there is a wetsuit thick enough!
Drysuit with heated undergarments! 😉 it is the only way I dive if I need anything thicker than a 3mm wetsuit.
wondering what kind of fish that was I saw ?

Geese even I know those fish were grass carp, and that big one at the end was a bowfin and I also noticed several smaller hickory shad
@@ljbrizo there's no carp, shad or bow fin in Bennet springs or niangua river 😂
Bob as a matter of fact the niangua river does have a large population of carp ,I know for a fact
@@ljbrizo nope no carp in niangua river
