🙆 OH MY GOD!
I loved Ragnarok Online~ I played it an unhealthy amount back in the day in official servers and hopping in and out of private servers.
I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments, Ragnarok Online as an IP has so much potential-- honestly I loved the Beat Em Up game "Ragnarok Battle Offline" and I was sad that Gravity didn't pursue to update that any further. I felt I had a better time there than even the MMO~
It was so much fun! What more if they made it into a Soulslike? A Roguelike? An Action game? That would be amazing!
Trying to play the MMO Ragnarok is both bitter and sweet to me, cause there are so many things-- features, quality of life changes, and balance changes to name a few-- that I would really like to see to improve what's presently in game, however it feels like what it is right now just doesn't vibe with me. Regardless, I love playing it when I am able and in the mood.
If anything I just miss the world and story of it and hope to be able to play it in a way that is enjoyable... and if that means it becomes an entirely new genre, I'm all for it~
First of all, thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! I'm creating these videos out of passion and i feel like there are more out there like us, who hold RO dearly in our hearts but can't express our bittersweet sentiments. I wish for us to be seen or heard a little bit more as i feel like ragnarok deserves a place alongside longtime giants such as EVE, WOW, RS, FF... and feel like the IP can be so much more! stay tuned for more videos! Thanks again~

As a former Philippine Ragnarok Online player, I have seen its rise and fall. Excessive selling of items for real money and failure to make more interesting consent are major factors in pRO's demise.
