The wording is so hard to understand 😢 They say the "current becomes 1.93" without clarifying the the overall current or the current in resistor 😢 How do I understand wording better?
there is a shorter way, we calculate first the terminal potential diffrence in first circuit with single resistor which comes out to be 3V and we know that E.M.F in greater than the terminal potential difference so in the options we have two choices which have E.M.F greater than 3V and the closest internal resistor value which we will minus from the E.M.F willl give us 3V. In this case it is C
One more method to find ans without solving equation is trial and error method using the options given. Put the values of E and r and see which one satisfies the equation. This only works for MCQs.
This doesn’t work.. equation is E-r=3 and B,C and D all give about the same answer (+ D is the closest one because answer would be 3 without decimals so you’ll get it wrong :(
i had the same doubt, but its like 1E = E right? so the step she skipped was E - 1.93E = 2.895 so here u take E as 1, so 1.93 - 1 is 0.93. so u have 0.93 x E = 2.895 left in the equation and from here E = 2.895/0.93 = 3.11
I have a question, hope Et can reply me :D. My question is that if there is internal resistance in the battery, the votage that goes back to the battery is 0v or 0.11V in this case??
If a single MCQ takes 9 minutes. I'll rather choose a random option.
bro she is explaining how to do the question at the same time. im sure she can solve it within 30s if she wasnt explaining

I faced the same problem as well

and also option D will give terminal p.d = 9.34-6.34= 3 which is exactly the terminal p.d. but D is not the answer.

When we have
E=2.895 + 1.93E -5.79
then it goes to
2.895=0.93E.........how does it go from 1.93 to 0.93
i had the same doubt, but its like 1E = E right? so the step she skipped was

Thank you so much this was so helpful!!

i dont know
its always 0
