I think like a 4x4 relay race, those who came last knew there was only 1 hour left so they really put their might into the work. Their zeal and determination I believe is what the Master rewarded. Also, they didn’t have a lunch break as am sure the others did, so they were all paid justly. The ones who worked all day got breaks and lunch while the last hour workers were like a relay race who “finished strong “ at the last hour.
