Man, the lyrics are like God level. Unfortunately, I think that many things cannot be easily translated because they are highly dependent on the Brazilian culture... For instance, at the end, when he says "Os preto é chave, abra os portões", the English subtitles are showing a literal translation "the black are key, open the gates". It is true that "os preto é chave" literally means "the black (people) are key", however, in Brazil, saying that someone is "chave" is a slang that actually means "chave de cadeia" (key of prison, of jail), and that slang means that the person has no future and will end up in the prison (so, they are like "opening the prison" themselves, they are the "chave", key). So, Brazil has actually a lot of structural-racism problems, and racists relate black people with the jail and go on saying that "os preto é chave" (black people will go or should go to jail). Thus, he basically subverted this racist sentence by saying "Okay, black people are key, so let's open the gates" (of course, opening the gates is a metaphor meaning "let's create our own opportunities, our future"...)
It is unfortunate that you still don't understand most of the references that our artists use in the songs. This is a striking feature not only of this, but of several other of our RAP songs. You can feel the songs and understand the translation. But to really understand the genius of some of our artists, you will have to master our language and understand more about our history and culture. Many people, characters, places and facts are often mentioned in these songs and to really understand them, you need prior knowledge.
