Having tears in my eyes watching this beautiful masterpiece of cultural heritage & identity everyone can connect to, transported through fantastisc sceneries, authentic humans and a brilliant editing. Thank you so much.
Felt emotional seeing this series come to an end. It has impacted me in many wonderful ways, incredible work Nadir💛. May Allah bless you, your future endeavours, the Uighur people and your father.
This was such a beautiful short series! Well done! Woah! This is something I aim to do one day as well, uncovering cultures :) thank you for the inspiration!
‘The memories of these women are the only archives of this heritage’ your words really got me! especially because lots of Ahwazi (social) history is oral history. I’ve been thinking about a way to preserve our culture despite the occupation, globalization & modernization that’s increasingly pressuring our community. But maybe I can start with documenting the stories my mom tells about her great grandmothers. Maybe this is the most convenient way ‘now’ to preserve a small part of our heritage... thanks for the incredible inspiring stories Nadir 🙏🏼
Beautiful memorial to such a wonderful man, his souls was full of kindness to others, always smiling he was a rarity in busy societies we have now a days. May he rest in eternity of peace and happiness.
So lovely, I wishI could afford one or two of those hats, unfortunately I cannot right now. Hope they'll stay available until my financial situation gets better. I love central asian patterns and art
8:57 is this what Nadir's dreams consist of? Such an amazing and profound video to watch. The use of the music, camera angles. It's done in such a way where there are moments of lightness and moments of heaviness. But in ways that it moves you through those emotions and experiences in an easy flowing way leaving you in awe💫🙌
watching this me as a gen z, i feel like learn about our own cultural heritage is a must and i haven't dig and explore my culture and tradition that much. such an inspirational video, thank you nadir. hello from indonesia, you have to come back to indonesia!!
Textiles have always played an important role in unraveling histories and sharing untold stories. What a beautiful journey of weaving together and trying to make sense of our complex cultural identities. I was happy to see the batik clip from the Finding Nenek video. Love your storytelling style and look forward to seeing more.
