I don't think these deaths teach people what not to do, it's common sense you just shouldn't do these things. After all, these are grown adults doing foolish things.
Of course it's always sad when somebody passes away whether it be murdered, old age, terminal disease etc but there's always the humorous side too that keeps the sane. As Bobby and his wife left a Virginia hardware store, she drove the pickup truck while Bobby stood in the bed holding down a piece of plywood. It should be noted that Bobby was a master chief boatswain's mate, so normally he would tie down something like the plywood. When his wife made a sudden stop in traffic, the old sailor and the plywood went airborne, with the master chief crash landing on the pavement. This was a tragic end to what would've been a happy retirement.

My aunt married a nasty man. He was due to retire. Her mother said "hes going to make her life miserable, if there was any justice he'll not make it". One day before retirement he dropped at work of a massive heart attack.aunt collected both death in work benefits and the pension. And a peaceful life with her animals she adopted. Nobody EVER annoyed her mother in the family. We were never sure she wouldnt hex us too.

And to proof it he would run to it with full speed to then bump into it. Thing is he was right. The glass was unbreakeable. The window frame on the other hand was not. So when he bumped into it he and the glass window both fell down 24 floors after the window frame gave away.

I heard somewhere that 3 drunk men were going home from a bar, when one of them fell into the hole filled with mud head first. Those two others came back to bar, ordered some drinks, and stayed there for around 45 minutes. The story with the scrap metal made me think about another story from Russia where some guys also looted an abandoned building and stole some scarp metal only to die some days later. Usually the plate glass doesn't break, it's the bonding around it. There's a famous story about another lawyer who was trying to demonstrate how strong the glass was, and yep, it held but the bonding or frame they used didn't. The glass is installed to withstand wind and sometimes even bullets. It's not made for people from the inside throwing themselves against it.
That lawyer one made me think of another one of another guy (also a lawyer I think) wanted to prove that the glass in their office was unbreakable so he ran into it with full force and of course he was completely wrong and fell down the building
If I recall the story correctly the glass didn't break, but instead, the whole pane just popped out of its frame, sending the guy plummeting to his death.
The story of the lawyer falling from his 39th floor office reminds me of a similar story I once saw on a TV show a few years back. In it, a young hotshot lawyer liked to jump against the windows in his office (which was in a skyscraper) to prove how strong they were. One day, looking to impress a new female coworker, he did so again, but this time, the window didn't hold, and he made a very quick exit to the pavement many stories below.

Although I have never seen somebody swallow a sword or have pictures of it I did have some neighbors who are friends of mine who had swords hanging on their dining room wall and when I asked about them they told me that before the parents had gotten married her mother was a sword swallower. I went to a psych ward where I hear this story that a 17 y/o kid tried to escape. So he found the way to the roof of the three story building and jumped off… onto on of those black pointy iron gates and impaled himself. Did you know that scientists are considering using lawyers in research instead of rats? They have 3 main reasons.
1. There are now more lawyers than rats.
2. The lab technicians don’t become emotionally attached to the lawyers.

I heard somewhere that 3 drunk men were going home from a bar, when one of them fell into the hole filled with mud head first. Those two others came back to bar, ordered some drinks, and stayed there for around 45 minutes. Then, they finally reported what happened, and when firefighters got that dude out, he was, sadly, dead.

@@docthebiker the detective they explained what had happened and apparently the window was faulty due to having a small fractor on the side which wasn't capable of withstanding the force when the guy hurdle towards the glass it's was a freak accident ever since then all windows underwent inspection for poor integrity.

The story with the scrap metal made me think about another story from Russia where some guys also looted an abandoned building and stole some scarp metal only to die some days later. How did they die? They died from RADIATION as it turned out the building they had broken into was a storage facility used for discarded URANIUM! 😱☢🤢

Usually the plate glass doesn't break, it's the bonding around it.
There's a famous story about another lawyer who was trying to demonstrate how strong the glass was, and yep, it held but the bonding or frame they used didn't.
The glass is installed to withstand wind and sometimes even bullets. It's not made for people from the inside throwing themselves against it.

That lawyer one made me think of another one of another guy (also a lawyer I think) wanted to prove that the glass in their office was unbreakable so he ran into it with full force and of course he was completely wrong and fell down the building
I think that story was already featured in a past entry of the Darwin Awards
If I recall the story correctly the glass didn't break, but instead, the whole pane just popped out of its frame, sending the guy plummeting to his death.

The story of the lawyer falling from his 39th floor office reminds me of a similar story I once saw on a TV show a few years back. In it, a young hotshot lawyer liked to jump against the windows in his office (which was in a skyscraper) to prove how strong they were. One day, looking to impress a new female coworker, he did so again, but this time, the window didn't hold, and he made a very quick exit to the pavement many stories below.

Also, apparently, right before that, he actually _did that same trick_ but the window held up. Why he felt the need to do it again immediately after... y'got me, there.
@@smartboy201 Indeed. My guess is that 1000 Ways to Die altered the story to make it more interesting, and while I may be small and puny, I wouldn't trust any of those windows to hold my weight. As a side note, I have yet to travel to Canada (I live half an hour outside of Philadelphia), though my mother and younger sister have both been to Toronto.

Although I have never seen somebody swallow a sword or have pictures of it I did have some neighbors who are friends of mine who had swords hanging on their dining room wall and when I asked about them they told me that before the parents had gotten married her mother was a sword swallower. I went to a psych ward where I hear this story that a 17 y/o kid tried to escape. So he found the way to the roof of the three story building and jumped off… onto on of those black pointy iron gates and impaled himself. The people I was told by argued if he died or just got paralyzed, but I thought it would still be interesting for y’all to hear about.
