I just bought Lumafusion for my ipad 6th gen to edit and compile literally years worth of footage from family videos. Long story short, my family has tons of footage shot on old 90’s cameras. Now with the help of modern technology, I am in the process of editing the footage into home movies that we can enjoy on our iOS devices. Coming from the days of Pinnacle and Corel on Windows devices I am amazed at what you can do now with footage. Thank you so, so much for this video. It is a lifesaver in my editing and conversion process. I love how detailed this video is and I am already making better movies from the footage I have uploaded to my ipad than I did compared to iMovie which I was previously working with, along with all the limitations contained 😩😖 anyway. Awesome video and I look forward to more how to videos.
I’m an editor for tons of small content creators and don’t have the money for a editing pc and was looking for something more professional and saw LumaFusion, then watched many tutorials on it and this was the best one! Earned a sub!
I bought LumaFusion off the back of this tutorial as it was very well explained in simple terms and so far very happy with it and go back to this tutorial if I’m ever unsure Thanks
Thank you for taking the time to produce such a clear, concise tutorial for newbies such as myself. After having edited my first video with iMovie last weekend I have now completed the edit of my second video using LumaFusion thanks to this upload. What a step up. Kudos to you sir!
Great tutorial. I’m not new to video editing but because I don’t do it regularly, I find myself starting over everytime I need an upload for RUclips or Facebook. This was a great refresher for me. Thanks a bunch!
I am horrible with technology. I purchased this for $20 and I've watch this video twice and I already have a beginning grasp. I'm going to watch it three or four more times and play around and then look for some more advanced stuff. Awesome video. Thank you
Luma Fusion is just what I’ve been looking for, but the caveat was learning to use it to suit my needs. Your video did that for me. As you publish more videos on using Luma Fusion you can count on me watching so that I might go beyond what I’m planning for now. Thanks. Great job, well done! Very helpful!
I’ve been hunting around for basic LumarFusion Instruction, and found it on your channel, how is it that Canadians are the best teachers on tech stuff lol, thanks so much for all your hard work, really informative and easy to follow along,
I have to agree with all these positive reviews, I hope that both LumaFusion and Apple reward this reviewer. Thanks to him I have purchased this app and a new IPad Pro, not only that I also realise that I will, reluctantly, (I am an old age pensioner) also have to purchase the iPad pen. Well done, a brilliant informative video.
A very good tutorial for a newbie like me who’s still trying to figure out what’s best for my needs. An editor that’s not complicated and easy to use. I thank you so much for you’ve covered a lot more compared to other tutorials on Luma Fusion. I will be using your tutorial as my guide and reference as I go along. Wish me luck, and again, thank you for this great tutorial.
I never comment but this tutorial was amazing . You are a brilliant teacher. I have bought 2 softwares for video editing and quite frankly got lost on both and gave up.. You showed how this software can be easily used but most importantly how to get started. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. Recently I kept getting ‘error’ when exporting the video after finishing my editing for no obvious reason. The only way I can ensure no error is by deleting the app after each export and reinstall it when starting a new project.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I’ve been tired of using KineMaster or IMovie. I did download LumaFusion not too long ago, but I never knew how to use it. I was about to delete it, until I stumbled upon this video in my recommendations. Again, I thank you so much for this tutorial.
Very Good! I downloaded lumafusion two days ago and watched many RUclips videos. But when I found this one I kept returning to your video because it is done very well. I hope you do more of these videos because I like your style. very easy to understand.
First time in my life I have ever tried doing something like this and...I DID IT! It took me 3 hours to make a 39 second video but by golly I gotr' done thanks to you. Your video is one hell of an educator sir. Although I am so proud of what I just did I'm not putting this video on my RUclips channel ...it was just something to experiment with but When I do Post my first edited video on RUclips I'lldefinitely be mentioning your Channel.
Thank you so much for dumbing that down that way. I was frustrated thinking I would never get it. I made my first edited video while watching (pauses included) in about 2 hours. Not good but I know so much more.
YES!!! I have watched a LOT of Luma Fusion videos.... YOURS are the most easy to follow! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Subscribing because I wanna learn MORE from you!
Great tutorial on a beginner's guide to editing on Lumafusion. One of the best tutorials on You Tube and you have made each step of editing very simple and clear. Thank you so much and I will be checking out your other Lumafusion tutorials!
Thanks great explanation. I truly have no idea on video editing and bought LumaFusion and busted my head trying to simply load media. So now I am going to put this to the test. Awesome 👍👍👍👍
Thank you! Your teaching style is top notch. Easy to follow, clearly stated and thorough in how you navigate through the subject matter. I’ve watched many tutorials and have been exposed to the depths of possibilities with LumaFusion but other tutorials are difficult to follow. Truly appreciated!
Thank you Shawn, just bought my first and latest version of LumaFusion as per your recommendation, and watched your tutorial and as always is very well explained and demonstrated.
This video was great. Thank you so much. This is the first Lumafusion tutorial on RUclips where my eyes did not glaze over. I edit drone videos and have been stuck with iMovie… It’s OK but on the iPad very limited. I am a quadriplegic with pretty good arm movement but have finger dexterity problems. So using the iPad is a must for me. I subscribed to your channel and will watch your others. Perfect timing for the fall season and my new Mavic 2 pro. Again thanks a lot.
I’m a quadriplegic and I can’t use my hands but I can still lose my arms. I operate my iPad using the sad of my pinky. Wonder if there’s anyway I could get a custom built iPad and if so where?
Thanks for the video, I have just purchased a GoPro Hero 7 Black, (I previously had a 5 Black), and was told by a friend to get LumaFusion, I have yet to get it, but watching your video will certainly help me in the process of buying it and using it for the first time. I have subscribed to your channel. Thanks again, great video.
Thx for the overview. Just purchased LF and this helped to get me started. Looking forward to more LF tutorials especially the ones you mentioned in this video. All the best...
Amazing. Love your pace and keep the content within the parameters of the level you’re targeting. I’m a complete novice and have been seeking a course or someone to guide me through these basics. You’re my man! Look forward to discovering what else you have in this series as I progress.
Just got hubby a drone for his bday and wanted to edit footage. OMG what have I gotten myself into? Now we’re on holidays and taking more video rather than pics as my memory sucks so even another great usage of being able to edit something. Was using iMovie but this is awesome! Thank you so much!! Will be buying LumaFusion and checking out more videos! Great job! 😃
Thanx! I just bought an iPad Pro yesterday and bought Luma Fusion app. Your video was understandable as well as informative. I just became a subscriber and I’m looking forward to the next one.
Very nice tutorial.. I usually hate watching tutorials but i watched this one to the end.. your explanation was very clear and helped me to make the decision to buy the app.. thank you..
Just purchased LumaFusion. I’ve been using iMovie so far, but I am quite an amateur. Your tutorial was very easy to follow and I look forward to seeing more of your ideas
Fantastic ! I’ve watched you careful and I now have my first proper edited video from my drawer full of sd cards! I await your next guide to LumaFusion 👍
Thanks, i just got an ipad pro 10.5 strictly for editing. I downloaded this app (29.99 now) and was completely lost when it came to color correction. This was a big help.
Nice video and very informational. Just a note - a jump cut is when you cut together two shots of the same subject from camera positions that differ slightly, so the subject looks to "jump." What you edited is a straight cut
Excellent tutorial. I’ve been a FCP6 user and for what I used it for I think LumaFusion can do everything I did in FCP. The amazing thing is that I don’t have to go through all the steps of transcoding videos in and out to edit, like I had to with FCP. Not to mention LF seems much faster since I don’t have to wait for clips to render. Looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials. Thanks for posting!
Fabulous!? Thank you. At some point could you possibly do a tutorial on some of the more advanced features of Lumafusion? I’d really be interested in learning how to use these.
I was thinking the same but my only concern is storage. What is the best plan to store the storage. These videos will take up allot of memory so you would need to export to an external hard drive which u cannot connect to iPad Pro like u can do with a computer.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I've heard of LumaFusion but was intimidated by it so I was on the fence if I should even invest in it. This video was so helpful. I'll definitely be picking it up now for my GoPro footages. Thanks again and keep up the great work. :)

Great video! I've been making movies with LumaFusion all year. It's wonderful. I've been using it exclusively on my iPhone but I think it would easier on an iPad. Cheers!
Dude, thank you so much. Such a solid basic overview. I was really intimidated by all the features, but you really made it seem so simple. I’ll be adding your videos to my playlist as a reference. And I’m subbing to your channel!

Great tutorial - covered all the essentials very well. Baffles me that the LumaFusion developers couldn’t be bothered to do this themselves for their customers.
I just downloaded loaded this app last night on my new 10.2 7th gen. I bought the Logitech Crayon and SD card reader to edit my motovlogs coming up....I used imovie a lot in the past which was a tad more intuitive but this app has so much more potential.
I like all your tutorials on diffrent drone topics, they are simply explained and informative. Thanks.
Thank you I’m glad you enjoy them
Even 2 years later, and even despite that Luma changed a little, I still find it veryyyy helpful and simply explained. Thank you!!!
Thank you very much

Wow! I was going to get new Macbook Pro just for editing videos!! But now I think I am just gonna go for an iPad Pro and use LumaFusion!
I was thinking the same but my only concern is storage. What is the best plan to store the storage. These videos will take up allot of memory so you would need to export to an external hard drive which u cannot connect to iPad Pro like u can do with a computer.
ToNeSpOT ipadpro actually has a usb-c port
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I've heard of LumaFusion but was intimidated by it so I was on the fence if I should even invest in it. This video was so helpful. I'll definitely be picking it up now for my GoPro footages. Thanks again and keep up the great work. :)

You have a real gift. Thank you for taking the time to teach & sharing it with us. Now, enough praise . . . LOL! I started this comment with the intention of asking a question. Do you plan on making a video explaining what “ducking” is & how to use it? I see it in the project settings.
Great video! I've been making movies with LumaFusion all year. It's wonderful. I've been using it exclusively on my iPhone but I think it would easier on an iPad. Cheers!
