THANK YOU
Jaii I really respect how your message about crime and violence is CONSISTENT
Garbage, and it's the same redundant narrative they come with when they feel scared and overwhelmed. Don't be fooled ,
YOU KNOW WHY JAMAICANS FEEL SO FRUSTRATED???????
FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS ,THEY HAVE MAGNIFIED EVERYTHING NEGATIVE THAT COMES FROM A CERTAIN DEMOGRAPHIC THEN LABEL IT "JUMIEKAN KULCHA".
Now we end up with a society that seems out everything negative to condemn itself.
Vybz Kartel is the King of Dancehall not because he is musically the best but he also lived and felt what the people felt.. No other artist on the planet can live in Prison and drop music and withstand all that pressure.. The man embody dancehall. The man literally put his life into the music. Vybz Kartel is the only artist from the 2000s that still is at his peak.. You can say Sizzla also but people dont listen Reggae as much as back in the days.. So yea Kartel is the king
Fi real mi g
Vybz kartel fight fi life to get outta prison and making music behind bars
Kartel did what for Jamaica tho ... make grabbba? influence Jamaicans to hate them skin and bleach? and liquor to kill more blacks? ... but Unno don't see that that's why Michael Star will be the King of Dancehall because his music inspires and his dance moves can change a generation mi nah ask either kartel didn't do what he was suppose to
Uk u need a beer 🍺
Jah Cure buss from prison still.
I saw a young man comment on a post earlier saying that situations like this make him want to become law enforcement and figure out a way to change Jamaica. The replies to him were “nuh badda waste yuh time” “betta yuh guh scam” and “you one cyaa do ntn”. It’s sad the world we live in. Change starts from within and we’re discouraging what could be the start of the change. It only takes one and everyone cares more about minding their business and begging for pics of peoples dead bodies.
exactly change starts from within and if they refuse to change their ways and the way they view life on a hold they gon always be in the same shit sad fi see how them live but if they don't decide to seek better for this place and them self bro how ppl gon live out here like everything done expensive and uno still a kill off uno one another like go put that time and effort in creating a beautiful life mah boy look at the niggas hosting the podcast eh man dem nuh better than uno or smarter or lucky or whatever uno believe a person requires to be successful them just choose to not live in the same world or state of mind y'all chilling in but guidance stills wish every man complete them to do list and be yuh self bro like eh man dem hate them self bro but that's a whole next topic stills man dem just seek better out a life cause eh out deh uno just too blind fi seet
not surprised.
This need more likes
Not surprised one bit . Not all but a vast majority of Jamaicans don’t like Jamaica and only want to hear negativity from Jamaica. Hence the TikTok folks making money cause that’s how most see the place . Truly a shame what’s happened to such a beautiful country
Let's be honest......there is gonna be difference of opinions ALWAYS. I just hope his mind is strong and he stays on his path if that is what he truly wants. Because I know you said there were some discouraging replies, but there might have also been ENCOURAGING replies as well. So it depends on what he chooses to focus on

The problem isn’t just the music-it’s the culture in Jamaica 🇯🇲

The music is a major part of our culture, so what you saying .
@@asmondredwood7289💯
You hit the nail on the head... the culture is the problem. I'm not saying all aspects of the culture are bad... but we have to admit that the propensity to violence is part of our culture.
The Jamaican culture has nothing to do with it its the overall new culture we are creating like being dunce and scamming and skating on the toll and the music and entertainment is playing a big part of it the children are seeing big people doing things and say that must be right not like us that grew up to our grandparents or parents praying for us before school and things like that they are not seeing that or getting the opportunity to experience it

the only positive i can take from this is i can hear SIRP"S influence in these two youths, it simply means that the message of change is getting out. it means people are listening , and if people are listening things can change

The violence in Jamaica and other Caribbean nations is deeply rooted in history, culture, and socio-economic challenges.
1. Historical Context: The legacy of slavery left generational trauma and disrupted family structures. Political violence in the 1970s and 1980s further normalized aggression, and many communities were armed, deepening the problem.
2. Cultural Factors: Music often reflects society, and while reggae and dancehall are powerful art forms, some lyrics glorify violence, hypersexuality, and criminal lifestyles. The “badman” culture and glorification of toughness stem from survival mechanisms passed down from slavery and colonialism.
3. Socio-Economic Issues: Poverty, lack of education, and unemployment fuel crime. Corruption and weak institutions also fail to address these challenges effectively.
Without addressing the normalization of violence and family breakdown, it will be hard to see real change. This will require:
• Education: Teaching conflict resolution and emotional intelligence early.
• Community Leadership: Promoting role models who reject violence.
• Policy Reform: Tackling systemic inequality and improving opportunities.
Black on black violence is also a major issue in America and the UK.
But now in the US you have utubers like Candace Owen and many others who are shining a light on the toxic black sub culture which also promotes sex and violence. Maybe it’s time for some utubers in Jamaica to start building a platform and shining a light on what is going on and rejecting it. I know Sir P, Tu-lox and his brother do video’s about the toxic culture, but there needs to more utubers and tick tickers doing this. Many Jamaicans are uneducated and do not read so video platforms are a great way to teach and educate.
Off course it will be difficult for most Jamaicans to accept this type of rhetoric because how normal badness, broken families, violence etc has become but if more and more people shine a light on what is happening and reject it, maybe there will be some who can be saved.
Poverty and slavery have nothing to do with crime. Cuba, Zimbabwe, and many other countries are poorer than Jamaica, yet they don't have said crime rates. A youth having a gun that costs more than many people's salary is suffering from poverty?
If slavery causes crime, why we didn't see these levels of crime 50-100 years ago. Jamaica's murder rate was fewer than 100 murders/year during the '50s and '60s.
@@krislegendsI did not say poverty caused violence. We know there are many poor countries that are poor and do not have the high murder rates as Jamaica.
It is a contribution and a mix of all the issues I mentioned.
Do all the countries you mentioned also have a past of slavery, strong political violence, and a heavy idolisation of the gun and bad man?
You try and raise a child with all the above and if you as the parent are not strong minded and have great leadership, I guarantee you your child will have issues.
Conflict resolution must be a mandatory topic in all schools from kindergarten stage right up tertiary education.. we have no idea how to resolve conflict amicably. That's the first step towards shifting the culture.

@@Clipperbossmanwas Movado, then poppy and now a skilli. The world is bigger than Jamaica. Vybz kartel’s peak in music was in 2016 and numbers wise that was Alkaline’s year. He is more culturally relevant than all of these artistes and more lyrical than them but they crossed over and had songs on the billboard charts. Do the knowledge on why Beenie Man is the king.
the buss culture is similar to when some one is able to get u a job interview with any company and you get the job, their response is, they are the one who got you the job...nah fam you gave me the opportunity to give myself the opportunity to secure that job... cuz was if den never hire me
I agree with this example when it comes to bounty killa bcaz he gave artist an opportunity with his platform. But Kartel is different bcaz he gave artists an opportunity with his platform but he also wrote the songs, produce the songs, and collaborated with them on the songs. So I would say Kartel literally buss some of his artists for real but bounty gave most of his artists a platform for them to buss themselves. Do you agree?
100% agree… u can only do so much for a person in order for them to carry themselves across the finish line…while as u stated kartel actually carry dem cross…so even if the artist wasnt talented just the merr fact the projects were 85% done by Kartel….only thing he didnt do was record with his voice…hence y so many “buss” artist came from the gaza
