hey this might sound weird but could you add smth to your comment rq for channie and stays all around the world? here's the thing, he wasn't wearing cornrows in the first place, he was actually wearing dutch braids as an homage to New Zealand's history and culture. I pray that more people will hear about this and spread the word.
@cecily I've been researching this for a while (long before all this with chris started) and it's definitely dutch braids, there's no way it could be cornrows- it's not braided that way (for example: with cornrows you're supposed to see the scalp, the braids are very tight, ALL of the hair is braided with no room at the end -but you could see chris's scalp, the braids were really loose, and they were let free towards the bottom of his hair) additionally, my father has a PhD in anthropology and he told me about the whole history and wearing dutch braids is encouraged by all nationalities and ethnicities.

@@beehive6248 so basically chan was wearing cornrows at 3racha stage (at least many people thought he was wearing cornrows at first), and he chose this hairstyle by himself, because he is interested in other cultures, he respects and loves them. he gets a lot of hate because he still hasn't apologized for it, but in recent vlives and in the recent days in general, he made allusions to apologies (for example, he's stated that he respects other cultures and that he would never try to hurts them out of provocation or sth). but people are still stupid and spamming him with "apologize" comments as well as hate comments like "2Racha" or "Ot8" comments. he even got death threats. anyway, in the last few days it has also turned out that he wore normal dutch braids. so i think he has no reason to apologize, and so many see it the same way..he got so much hate, to the point where he got nosebleeds twice in one vlive and that he looks tired and broken....

so basically chan had this one hairstyle (a african hairstyle or dutch braids). people accuse him for "culture appropriation" because of the hairstyle. chan also had the hairstyle for the "zone" stage with 3racha. after the incident, he apologized and went back to a normal hairstyle. he also appeared gloomy and sad after.

And as for Chan, I can't even begin to express how disappointed I am with those weak STAY's who just betrayed him so easily. I think that not just as STAY's, but as human beings, we should consider the fact that the hairstyle was most-likely unintentional towards anything else, other than being used for just a simple stage look. @@francoisekahlouche6080 I personally don't really like their music, but recently, I've done a lot of research on SKZ and they really seem to be some of the most kind, genuine, soft (especially Hyunjin and Chan) and beautiful people (both on the inside and on the outside) ever.
However, Bang Chan stood out the most for me. From what I've seen he has a heart of gold. From going away from his home, training so hard for years and seeing only GOT7 and TWICE debut, from rough survival program, he always seemed to me like he genuenly cared more for other people (I won't ever forget that video where he's consoling Felix) and now he's getting so much hate for a hairstyle. 😞
