Interesting old electricity meters still in service in Sydney Australia. Some of these meters are from 1969 and are almost 50 years old and working perfectly.
Only a matter of time when these meters get replaced with plastic rubbish only to last a few years at the most.

Who here misses Photonicinduction? I do. I wish he would come back but I don't think it will every happen... :(
also RODAL do you know the story on why photon finally disappeared? What happened to him?
He’s here. ruclips.net/video/vlO5Hugwn2A/видео.html
Andrew Littleboy what's he doing now?
Beautiful meter installations, love the old wiring setup and that unusual switch arrangement. Good to see some old BAZs still turning, absolutly lovely!
These vintage meters remind me of when I was younger seeing Westinghouse, General Electric, Sangamo, and Duncan, meters in the same type of arrangement. Every once in awhile I see vintage meter setups in some of the smaller Texas towns. Many General Electric I-16's and Westinghouse Type OB's were used in Texas.
Mike Jordan I saw a Westinghouse CS still in service on a municipal system in central Minnesota a few months ago
Some lovely old devices in this video.
Nice old meters there! - I'm surprised that it's up to electrical code having them sitting so exposed and exposed wiring around them!
Awesome meters really cool footage
Interesting video some of those meters and fuseboxes were definitely getting a bit long in the tooth cant imagine it will be that way too much longer.
Beautiful
Looked like that first one you showed us had the 3 conductor wire used in power cords. That looked vintage. Is that 240 with a neutral?
the devices specially the last one must be original when they installed the electricity inside the buildings , wow simply beautiful !!
4:24 = EMAIL LTD. See, as per mythology, there used to be email back then.
Thats some crazy old garbage there :-O
I think that’s a banksia that you’re referring to @ 4:33
fych this stuff was old when I did my apprenticeship in the late '80s. Cant believe that some of this stuff is still around, especially in that part of town. Most of the younger guys wouldn't touch it.. and that was in the late '90s only 10 years later. My phone would always ring when they had to touch stuff like this. Out of that scene now. Bets are on some of those panels still have rubber behind them - touch them and bang
Damn those are old... we switched to digital years ago. We even have digitals in the countryside.
BAZ Porn, epic classics there
Our power company switched a lot of people around me to smart meters.
consecutive serial numbers on a lot, in the large bank too!
Swap two over if you want to trigger an OCD episode :D
All outdoors and exposed because it's dangerous to flamethrower all the creepy-crawlies if they're in a cupboard in the house :D
Can't believe such things are still in use in a western country!
These meter installations would never pass final building inspection in the USA. You have exposed romex, and ground wires appear to be black not green, plus there appears to be bare wood plywood underneath. A big NO NO in the USA.
For HIGH voltage in Australia is red and black and brown for low voltage it's green/ yellow / brown
