Interesting old electricity meters still in service in Sydney Australia. Some of these meters are from 1969 and are almost 50 years old and working perfectly.
Only a matter of time when these meters get replaced with plastic rubbish only to last a few years at the most.

Beautiful meter installations, love the old wiring setup and that unusual switch arrangement. Good to see some old BAZs still turning, absolutly lovely!

These vintage meters remind me of when I was younger seeing Westinghouse, General Electric, Sangamo, and Duncan, meters in the same type of arrangement. Every once in awhile I see vintage meter setups in some of the smaller Texas towns. Many General Electric I-16's and Westinghouse Type OB's were used in Texas.

Nice old meters there! - I'm surprised that it's up to electrical code having them sitting so exposed and exposed wiring around them!

Interesting video some of those meters and fuseboxes were definitely getting a bit long in the tooth cant imagine it will be that way too much longer.

Looked like that first one you showed us had the 3 conductor wire used in power cords. That looked vintage. Is that 240 with a neutral?

fych this stuff was old when I did my apprenticeship in the late '80s. Cant believe that some of this stuff is still around, especially in that part of town. Most of the younger guys wouldn't touch it.. and that was in the late '90s only 10 years later. My phone would always ring when they had to touch stuff like this. Out of that scene now. Bets are on some of those panels still have rubber behind them - touch them and bang

These meter installations would never pass final building inspection in the USA. You have exposed romex, and ground wires appear to be black not green, plus there appears to be bare wood plywood underneath. A big NO NO in the USA.
