The Toughest Reflex Sight Ever? The LAWS-M Optic
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 28 сен 2024
- @JamesReeves is at IWA 2024 talking to Mike about the Israeli-made LAWS-M reflex sight, which may be the most durable optic in the world, according to its creator. Designed with urban combat in mind, the LAWS-M has no plastic parts and can hold zero on a .50 caliber machine gun. It includes a BDC reticle and has a long battery life. See the video and judge for yourself.

Good on that guy for giving the battery life at the max brightness setting instead of medium-low brightness.
Based, no marketing bull numbers with a * next to them and fine print
FR. Battery life comparison between different models is basically apples to oranges. And those who aren't smart, assume 50k = max brightness with full reticle. That and setting 6 for A =/= setting 6 for B.
American companies have no respect for it’s customers or workers
I was thinking the same thing. I think it really says something about a product that doesn’t need to rely on cheap tricks to sell its merits.
The key being retained in the design is so creative and charming, thats the kind of thing that gets devised in the concept phase and then dropped at some point usually
I'd be suprised if it's still there when it hits the market. People (not to mention soldiers on the field) loose small things like that quickly
Maximum brightness is 4K hours, built like a tank, built in tool, flush fitting quick release, .7 moa dot. I want.
I managed to read the company name from that folder he was holding in his hand. Company name is Optitask and they are based in Israel.
Might explain the similarity to the Mepro TruVision...
Unless I was looking at the wrong site this product isn't even listed yet.
@@rogerj412 i think the rep said its not available until August.
Serious OSINT vibes... lol
Not gonna support pigs then 😂
That reticle got me feeling like the Predator
Heirloom quality. Your grandkids gonna be like "i cant believe grandpa fought a war with this, how do i line them up?"
Sounds like a great optic!! And better battery 🔋 life than an Eotech 🤩🤙🏽👍🏼
I like the reticle. You forgot to ask how much and if it will be available in the US market lol

That's a mil-spec device, not meant for Fudds.
The operator community gets first pick for that one...
Glad to see the Sig 9T without the fancy shrouds 😂
like the onboard tool, that was neat
That reticle is awesome. I would love to be able to get that reticle, in us sold optics. Where can we get that I optic at???
I'm pretty sure that at 2:35 the rangefinder on the left (base, 300M - 600M) is inverted. The Leftmost represents 300 and the rightmost represents 600, but they've connected the numbers to the dots incorrectly for sure.
How long have you know you're autistic
EOTech in the front, Meprolight in the back
@Edward
Where do I fall in with my $99 SIG Romeo 4?
🤔
“Tell me all about it.”
“Well, we cut up an EOTech a little bit…”
🤣
Very nice. For a RDS with dope albeit standard cartridges but nice. Curious in how much it will cost
Looks bad ass
that is really nice
4,500 hours at max? Talk about efficient.
Great optic, I think as far as durability it's not going to be more durable than a Eotech, but it looks like it might be on par. Only time will tell with future torture testing
Eotechs are actually not that durable compared to aimpoint and trijicon
I want this red dot just for my future space gat. That reticle is so cool
hops on a mountain somewhere with that super excited guy already bttching about this battery cap
They need to send you one for a JJR torture-test.
Have a beatdown showdown between this, an aimpoint, and a Romeo 8T
Where’s the plastic on an eotech??
The optical bench is made of Polimer Plastic material. Probably PEI
I have a feeling the vertical parallax will suck..
Anyone know if this is available and where?
If only it had an auto shut-off feature. I think they really missed the ball on that one. The problem with eotechs is the battery life. Red dots, especially with auto shut-off, dont have that issue. Not having that feature really hurts battery life. 4,500 hrs, even on high, is not very good for a red dot.
I’m interested. Where can we find these?
The store
What rifle was it mounted on?
Stay safe brothers!
Well, until I see Focus Tripp test it, I can't give their toughness claims much credence.
Can it withstand an EMP burst?
Ask ur m o m about surviving bursts
Pricing is confidential and the company is Israeli so my expectations are ...not very high
The kit they use themselves is top notch.
@@MrKingArthurhkI don’t think the reservists have the ‘best’ kits. Which is the vast majority of the IDF.
I’d buy one for sure.
Loving the innovation out of Europe. They are taking risks that American manufacturers are avoiding. They have less money to lose.
American Red Dots have become nothing but Chinese imports.
American manufactuerers put their money in their mouths all the time its just the consumer that wont buy'em so they either die out or get bought out by bigger companies
It’s an Israeli company. Opittask.
I believe it's from Israel, rather than Europe.
@@TRAZ4004 Ah okay, competing with Meprolight
It looked like it was on backwards at first glance
How good is it with astigmatism
Astigmatism may be compencated with eyeglasses for reflex and holographic sights, or with telescopic sight's diopter correction.
The toughest red dot? Here we go again. Hopefully it doesnt come with a cease and desist.
If it comes to my country no doubt I will be buying it. Excellent work from the sales rep explaining.
Well James what's it feel like? You know what I mean, is it built like he said? If it's legit I will buy 3 right now as long as you say it's gtg.
How much is the optic?
7
Looks promising.
EO tech on steroids, I like!
Build me an optic worthy of my Steyr AUG 👁
You do it
Its an updated eotech with the vortex huey reticle.
Nothing is common between eotech vortex and LAWS-M series shight and its reticle
HOW MU C H BIT CH!
Hahaha 🤣 so barely a month with no auto shut off or shake-awake, but it’s tough!! So a modern vortex? Lol 😂
4,500 hours = 187.5 days, which is 6 months, not barely one month. And that’s on max brightness.
thats a similar battery life to most other red dots. remember holosun, vortex, sig, aimpoint, eotech, etc all give medium brightness battery life, thats 4500 on MAX.
I need my favorite cat loving lesbian to be critical about this so I can make an informed decision
I love how he was honest about the battery life.
Less than 1MOA dot on a reflex sight. That's impressive.
How so? Is it more challenging to manufacture a red dot with a smaller reticle?
@@Apophis392most companies don’t offer a sub 1 MOA because most optics regardless what they claim are made in China and a sub 1 MOA requires quality and precision and we all know Chinese optics lack that. So hope that answers your question.
Youd be surprised how many of the top name brands are made in China even some of those $500+ optics
yes indeed, 0.7 MOA is a result of a high quality optical design and manufacturing
@@Apophis392 no, it isn't and these clowns have no idea what they are talking about.
FYI, you can only adjust this optic in .86MOA increments, so the whole "benefit" of having a smaller center dot is completely moot
@@vicdiaz5180yep that's very true...SIG cough cough SIG...
They put it on that CZ 'upper' kit that was in a another video. IWA Continuity in action :D
He said night vision where is Hop?
He yoinked one for himself while Daddy James distracted the booth people.
Hop’s not allowed to leave the country
@@oddduck9798 wait, really?
lol no I’m just joking
@@oddduck9798 lmaoo
The QD latch is nice and flush. Wish more companies thought about details like that.
4500 hours in max setting is approx. 1/2 a year.
That looks like a quality piece of equipment james
That looks worth having.
James you have a good opportunity to become a importer for some of the kool kit you review at these overseas shows.
You did a real shit-job on this one James. Always the worst part of TFB TV.
Israeli firearm tech peaked with the Uzi and Galil
Neat looking reticle. Glad they are forthcoming with the stats. Good to see it's using a common battery as well. Only real complaint is the price you're paying for something that isn't quite proven.
Because eotech has gone to shat
I like the reticle. 👍
I like the attached multitool. All the options for caliber and loading in one optic is great too.
Did I miss the price?
Never mind! Video Editor and James F up!
"Note: Pricing info at this time is confidential so we were asked to remove references to pricing from the video."
$7
I though he was going to read you the entire book!
Anyone else looking to get further information about this reflex sight and cannot find anything on the internet? Can somebody help
Probably won't be released until Q3 when it's released
When I first saw the logo on his shirt, I thought he was a representative from COBRA.
Spotted one of the best handguns in the world there. The CZ shadow 2.
Quite a refreshing new design also from the outside with the shape of the optic, aswell as on the inside with the shape of the reticle
Looks a bit like a pair of angry eyes on the back with the buttons 😄
Diaappointed there was no price mentioned. I guess I can assume it's more than my wallet or Credit cards can handle
I love it I just don’t like how it looks that honestly it
Where can we purchase it and how much????
like it!
That's on a Norlite chassis right?
Yes, he was sharing booth space with them.
@TFBTVShowTime did you get an MSRP?
@@Watchdog_McCoy_5.7x28The video description states that pricing is confidential, so they were asked to remove any reference to it right now.
Who put that dude in the booth I barely could understand one word😂
*300 BLK REPRESENTATION!*
Dammit Jim…. How much $$$$$$$$
Astigmatism proof. 🤓
No price!?
eo tech exists next
50bmg? What about a SCAR?
Who cares
@DinoNucci people who own SCARs. Don't be an idiot.
Looks like the Elcan Holohraphic that didn't make it to (at least civvy) market.
Where is it made?
It's perfect peice of holographic sight instead of Eotech.
It's not holographic. It's a reflex
Its basically an eotech wannabe with way to complicated reticle and inferior reputation and durability i suspect
Dont think youre right. Eotech is a good toyota, this one is a Bentley
@@michaeloren2618 ever owned this sight or a bentley? If you do own a bentley you should know how not reliable they are and expensive to repair
Your point is impirtant.
You dont have to own the bentley, but just to drive it. So the experence is more relevant in this case rather the ownership.
I have experenced both, the sight and the bentley.
@@michaeloren2618Eotech aint toyota lmao, they are good but they arent cheap and bulletproof reliable. The 2 series is straight up GARBAGE, terrible water resistance, and ive seen a TON of them break.
1K Top G
Intriguing.
When did he say this would be available in the usa?
Feb 30th
What's the cost James? I can see your line of interrogation clearly missed the mark. Must've been thinking about the Roman Empire again🤨
Check description. They gave me the wrong price and they asked me to cut it out of the video.
@@TFBTVShowTime ah, ok. Looks like a pretty stout optic and would like to buy one. I like how they have the different drops for each caliber integrated into a reflex design.
You're not buying one anyway
@@DinoNucci why's that?
@@Lykapodium link us to your vid of you buying it. Ttyl
It’s an EOHECK
The Triangle reticle seems gimmicky. There is a reason eotech/holosun use a circle, and if using something else you want the markers to be top/bottom and left/right for things like holdovers, transitioning targets, leading targets etc... That triangle is useless beside looking cool
(Maybe its part of the “rangefinding” system, but if so im sure it could have been designed in a better way to be more useful than just rangefinding and cluttering up your sight pic)
Only gimmicky if you aren’t hunting Aliens.
This Israeli-made LAWS-M Tough Reflex Optic Sight, looks good for 5.56mm or 7.62mm Calibre Assault Rifles, or for 6.8mm Assault Rifle, or even for the new .338 Norma Magnum Calibre lightweight General Purpose Machine-gun or the .388 Lupa Magnum or 12.7mm / .50 Calibre Sniper Rifles maybe as a backup sight too.
Or the LAWS-M Tough Reflex Optic Sight, could be just as good on Combat 12-Gaugue Pump-action or Semi-automatic Shotguns, or used with 5.7mm, or 9mm, or .40S&W, or 10mm or.45ACP Calibre Personal Defence Weapons or Sub-machineguns, or even with Carbine pistol calibre weapons as well.
Though they seem to big for actual hand guns, either Semi-automatic Pistols or Double- and Single-action Revolvers, though will the Israeli's manufacturer IWA, soon offer an equally Tough Reflex Optic Sight version of the LAWS-M, that is for Pistols and Revolvers next, or do they already offer one?
More rugged and robust than an EOTech?? Hahaha!
Looks like the meprolight tru vision
Not at all
O2 is a small sight. T2 category. This one is bigger andca design is alsp different.
O2 is made pf plastic. Its a cheap sigts.
LAWS-M is mase of 7075 aluminum, hard anodized and stainless steel
That flagging is wild 😂😂
It's a trade show. The firearms are inert. They have no strikers or firring pins. There is no ammo on site.
Don't breed
