Nowadays the words "cottage" and "farmhouse" do not represent the original concept of the past in terms of design, especially when such talented architects are in play. This, in my humble opinion, is definitely not a "simple cottage." Simply gorgeous is what it is! I would love to be a guest in this guesthouse!

Well done. Love that there is some color (kitchen, especially), totally agree with the window instead of TV on the first floor and actually like the stone fireplace in the bedroom, probably because it’s shaped in a softer way that makes it curve softly in the room.

The place is so open and bright, the added light from that one opening is minimal. Moreover, the home is not formal, hence people gathering together for cooking and eating while enjoying movie night or watching the “big game” etc. are going to miss not having a connected space for that😕
Things are done for looks, a lot of time, when you hire designers. I see kids cuddled up on a homey sectional, after a nice meal, watching a movie, instead of being sent off to another room, or floor, to be separated from the family kitchen, rtc.

The poor architect can't get a word in without the interior designer speaking over him. 🙄 You can tell it is upsetting him because his arms are crossed. The home is beautiful. I just wonder what this collaboration was truly like.
