The GR is my most favorite none OG J’s of all time!
To me the GRs are perfect. Correct shape, more hits of navy, and I prefer the Jumpman over the UNC logo. Only thing I would change is the insole, but no one cares anyway, well except DJ. I doubled up on all three, but sold the double of the threes cause I needed the bread

Yes sure but the quality with PE’s, Friends & Family, and Samples is so much better than the GR’s and they do this to bring some hype to newer colorways and the brand itself as well as they are normally a limited one time run
I'm not sure about the PEs because I obviously don't own a pair, but those older retros usually have a synthetic mudguard. On the new ones, the tongue is more OG, and the toebox is slimmed down and so is the elephant print, so no, it's not just superficial differences.
By far best GR PE in recent memory I love fact they kept tag on insoles.
GR shape & elephant print height is much much better.
UNC was 2nd after Unite 3(red Cement) to do tongue properly folded under revealing no color of by tongue *lmao always on point you’re literally 2:50 saying exactly what I am.
I prefer everything about GR except UNC Branding on tongue ….
One of my regrets is getting rid of my UNC 3 GR. My ranking would be the 3, 4, and then 5... the suede when the 4s get dirty... yikes

First thing first big W on the new video dj . In my opinion I really loved and prefer the gr pair better then the pe to be honest, there both great looking pairs but I gotta go with the gr .
Air Jordan 3 is one of my favorites. With that being said I would never!!! I took an "L" on the UNC pair and I would never pay $400 for them. And anyone who will, has issues. And anyone who pays $4k is a damn fool! And I'll say that to your face!!
p.s. They are damn near the same shoe and it's too difficult to spot the differences. So does it really matter? ANd I rank them the same as their numerical order 3,4,5.
