@@WheelieGoodTV you are welcome. You are a great and natural presenter so just keep at it. I look forward to meeting up with you in 2021. Will send you a link and one of my own clips on the sound of the FJR.
2002 Fjr1300 rider myself! In Dublin on the East Coast so not quite the city! Love to meet you for a spin someday! The brother lives up in Bailieborough so it's a great spin on great roads!
Great to see you back on the FJR. I had mine out today for the first time in 3 weeks. Ended up going flying too in a former RAF Chipmunk. Anyway... Massive congrats you'll be at 1K subscribers in no time. You totally deserve it too. Take care and Merry Christmas!
Thanks man! Good to see your still watching my stuff. You’re one of the few who’ve been with me right from the start and I’m hugely grateful for that. So you went out on your FJR and then ended up in a Chipmunk? That’s my ultimate day out. Give me a shout if you’re over here next year at all and Merry Xmas to you too. All the best and thanks again. Dave.
@@WheelieGoodTV Ha yes it was a rather last minute kind of thing 😁 You can't beat combining your passions. I'd definitely love to meet up. Keep doing what you're doing, your channel is absolutely brilliant and I really think it will explode! Have a wonderful Christmas! 😊🎄🍺
Yes I used to go into the toon and up Westgate road to visit the bike shops including Kens, spent a lot of time talking to the lads about their bikes it was always busy on a Saturday. I used to buy my parts from the bike shop in the Haymarket, sending my wife in as the lads always let her through to the front, gentlemen the lot of them. I don't think Kens is there anymore but there are still plenty of outlets, and as you say it's great just to have a walk around. Best Wishes Keep safe
Hi Dave. Greetings from Canada. I was in your hometown in October ,2019 visiting family. My FJR is put away for the long Canadian winter. Same year as yours. Unfortunately our return trip this year had to be put on hold. I really miss not getting out on the bikes in the winter. And of all my bikes the FJR is definitely one of my favorites 👍
Thanks for another great video, glad to see you are back from the dark side, one mod I’ve done to my seat is to install a heat pad, lovely to use on these chilly days.
@@WheelieGoodTV Helllo, thanks for the quick reply, I did meant the heat pad , not seat cushion, it's great to hear the positive comments on the fjr, I'm on my fourth one currently and being 6'4" my only problem is the buffeting from the screen.
👍Thanks for the vid. Confession time...My awesome ZX14 has gone. Wife interested in getting pillion again after 23 years so sat her on a FJR and a Goldwing. The GW won (2005 30th Edition) awesome machine, should have done it years ago. Rode it for 5 hours home after buying and not one aching muscle or back problem. Getting used to the weight 🏋️♂️ Summer here in NZ so looking fwd. to maximum use. 😁
Nice video, thanks for sharing. The FJR is n expensive bike , I wonder why Yamaha didn't build them with heated seats. Yes, a video on your bike washing routine would be interested...I like a clean bike but I could use a few washing tips for sure.
Just found your channel excellent commentary. I live in western North Carolina USA. We have some incredible roads here and some of them are even famous. It’d be great if you got to visit the area and check them out. Greetings from Asheville, NC!
Yes. Power, size, and mechanical design put the FJR near the top of the list of "Best Road Bikes Ever." A BMW R1250 is the only remaining competition for this bike. And I think the FJR edges out the BMW when one considers total ownership value. I truly wish Yamaha would refresh the U.S. offering with a new dash and a YCC-S option for 2022. But alas, I fear it's on the chopping block as they've basically dropped the bike in the EU for lack of a Euro-5 compliant engine. That doesn't bode well for us on this side of the pond. You can't just take a chain-drive sport bike and slap some hard luggage on it and call it a sport tourer. The only way I'd ever get shed of my 2006 AE (U.S. version) would be for an updated 2022 model.
No, the only thing I take off is the seat as there’s a good lot under there which benefits from ACF50. For the rest of the bike I spray all the metal parts and make sure to spray a good amount through every gap in the fairings. It works it’s way around quite a bit so you’ll be surprised just how much it gets into the nooks and crannies. You’ve just prompt me to do a video over Xmas. 👍🏍

How do you apply ACF50 to the FJR? Do you take off all the plastic panels?
