    Here we are & this RC is still relevant. The latest sale has brought it out again I’ve always looked at it & admired it but the price of 500$ was abit much. Now at 299$ I had to get one. It’s different & is very upgradable.

    I agree with all your statements..I have a teal one an I can second it will last a long time...mine took a tumble down a rocky hill flipping about 30+ times with zero damage...I truly was shocked it had no damage as it was all on jagged rocks. Also drove it at the beach against ppls opinions and I took it home opened the diffs and trans mission zero sand got in the internals of the truck...axial did a nice job except on the scale size of the rig. I have had issues with the servo...opened it up and I stripped part of the gear and can tell you the servo is not waterproof regardless of if they say it is.

    I agree, I believe it is like a 1/7th scale if you do calculations, I believe SBG calculate it. Just slap some C1 tires, a full size action figure (8”-9”) since the body is huge! Add some accessories, and you have the ultimate C1 class out of the box!… sort of minus buying the things I mentioned. I just ordered mine and should get it by tomorrow! 😁 excited!

    • @GCMRacing1
      @GCMRacing1  2 года назад

      Have a great time with your build! yeah! I think the C1 rules are WRONG... these days.. because the trucks now are so BIG that a 4.19 size tire is ridiculously small on a giant truck. C1 is supposed to be a street class, and this is certainly street legal as a build, so the tire size should not matter at all.... Giant truck, needs Big tires to look any where close to 'scale'. Love this truck, keep building! Thanks for the comment!

    I also think it would've been better, cool, and different if they'd have built it on an 11.4" (290mm) wheelbase truck. It still would've been larger overall than the RC4WD Blazer, but it would've been a lot more true to size. Cadence's Dingo is a blast, those are great size and wheelbase rigs at 11.4. I don't know why they almost never do it.

    I love the early Bronco shape, but am having a real hard time trying to decide is it really a 1/8th or maybe 1/9th, it puzzles me when the manufacturer brings out several properly sized 1/10th then drop this in the mix, but maybe it is to do with looking more realistic up against their new SCX6 Jeep, I do wish they had gone for a different body new Bronco or something a little different like a Toyota Tacoma hmm we will have to hope that other companies are going to bring out some different options, but do not hold your breath I am a 5th scale gas guy and been wanting some old style early bodies for my Kraken RC Vekta5TT or a different buggy body for the VEKTA-5 and also for the LOSI 5ive-T HPI Baja yes I have two of every 5th gas plus a UDR and SBR clone Pro-Line in the past did different bodies for the HPI Baja way back and have marketed a nice 67 FORD F100 for the UDR but no other one's.

      Red Cat scout II is exactly 1/8 scale but labeled 10 scale. It dwarfs my UMG. I guess 8 scale doesn't sell like 10 scale. Very Annoying. Ryft next to a Capra... Don't get me started

    • @Nickwillfixit
      @Nickwillfixit 3 года назад +2

      @@michaelavery4427 LOL yes I had to delete a lot no one would have read it too long and started to be a rant, the one that annoyed me was when the Gladiator body arrived and just dropped on a standard length or very slightly tweaked chassis length, I am a 5th gas guy so scale does not matter so much due to most not having any known body style apart from my two Krakens and my FID Dragon Hammer but being replicas of copied bodies proportions are tweaked for performance as per the Trophy Trucks and Class 1's FG are more 1/6th as per the first model the Marder but have grown a bit. But I do like my UDR closest ever and my SBR clone but 1/6th-1/7th come on guys get it together.

    This all in one setup and its limitations reminds me of Apple tbh tho the only thing that reaaaaally turns me off is the fast back slope of the cage. I just don’t like that look on any cage or even rollbars except on like a caterham or a very few others. If I’m gonna spend any amount of money I need it to look good

    • @GCMRacing1
      @GCMRacing1  3 года назад

      The fastback trick is actually a common rear cage trick, as it's stronger as a cage than a squared off rear cage. With that said, I'd REALLY REALLY like for axial to offer us a proper roof to go with this epic truck. I'd like to have a wagon roof on mine instead of the cage work, although I know why they didn't do the roof.... this is the first time Axial has done any interior this good, and it's good enough to show it off on purpose.

    For me she looks the parts it should and that is all fine and good... But because it is 1/8.5 it will never fit in with the rest of 1/10 that are out there and look amazing side by side especially all the hard body's out there be it store bought of 3D printed. The saddest thing about this is that Axial make a lot of good looking bodies that fit into the 1/10 world grate and this one will not fit in with their own bodies from the rest of the own line and that's just sad. I love Axial and still use my old SCX 10 ll RTR but when I get my next rc from them it will not be this one. Thanks for sharing your video with us Chris. I wish they made this truck on a shorter wheelbase to make it more to scale with the rest of there own truck's.

    • @GCMRacing1
      @GCMRacing1  3 года назад +1

      I agree with all this. I think if it was a bit smaller wheelbase, say 11.5, and then smaller body this would have been amazing. But then the stock axles would be too wide.. again...
