Yes, eliminating 90% of social media has had the same effect on me. Facebook - Gone. Twitter - Gone, Instagram - Gone, LinkedIn - Gone. All I look at now are youtube videos. Never been happier. Good luck with that shoulder surgery.
Hi Ted just wanted to say thank you very much for all of your videos so far I got into a Gunning about 5 or 6 years ago have become a dealer in New Zealand and I wouldn't have maintained my enthusiasm if it hadn't been for you so thank you so much for everything that you've done so far and thank you so much for everything that you're doing the future
Glad to see you back Ted. You have my upmost sympathy for your injury, my wife and I were skiing down from the top the the mountain at St Moritz in poor visibility, she hit a bump and fell dislocating her shoulder. She very bravely got to the mid station and took the cable car down from there. Every small bump on the piste and jiggle and vibration in the cable car was agony for the poor thing. Her injury was nowhere near as bad as yours so I can only imagine that the pain you endured was pretty bad. Be more careful as it deprives us of your video's which I look forward to with great anticipation. As to coming off social (surely it should be antisocial) media well done! It just seems to be the haunt of Trolls and sociopaths.
Roland Bergan I got myself off the hill too. Pretty proud of that. I also went into shock and thought I could drive myself to the ER. But, that failed because I could not physically move the stick on my manual truck. :)
@@HoldOverVlogHiTed. The piste guys were really helpful, they phoned down from the cable car station and had a Taxi waiting to take us to the hospital. I think she then had 4 sessions of physio in Switzerland. The flight home was a bit traumatic for her and I'm afraid and the security guys in Zurich were very thorough search her sling for explosives, which caused quite a lot of discomfort. How did you manage to get yourself and your truck home, you must have been a long way from home. I am in the UK and I thought all the ski areas were east coast and the Rockies. I have been skiing in Vail and Squaw Creek North Tahoe area. Mountains in Wisconsin?
I just watched this two year old video, and I can say 'I feel your pain,' Brother. I suffered a rotator cuff injury this year. This, of course, was not as severe as your injury. This was very painful and will always bother me. I will be able to buy a new PCP this summer. This outline of the Dreamline features and possibilities was very informative. I'm sure it will help me choose between the Dreamline and Impact models. Also, we can see the possibilities available for making changes to the Dreamline. Hope you have had a good recovery from your injury..
Ted- Happy Birthday and welcome back!!! You have been truly missed!!! Sorry about the injury...Love your videos, so informative and accurate... Agree 200% on the drama and stress of social media- kudos for ditching it... Sincerely hope it will give you more opportunity to create more videos for us- I KNOW I am a selfish bastard!!!
You do a great service to new shooters like me. I got started in this area because of your commentary. Thanks for making a difference and helping me feel more informed in my gun choices.
Pleasure meeting you out @ UA grand opening and I concur with your opinion of FX and Frederik. Talked with him for about 1/2 hour and here is a guy that loves what he does and does for other's. I joined the FX club, that day, with an Impact 700 mm stx...haven't had the Matador out since. Another long journey with another new gun.
I had the exact same separated shoulder injury from a bicycle fall while on vacation. Luckily we both didn't break the collarbone so no rush to repair the separation. The rehab is a painful process since the shoulder has the most range of motion. Anticipate 6 weeks in a sling. During the operation it showed I also had a torn rotator cuff. Maybe that's why my rehab was painful. Yours may be less so. Hang in there. You're still the best.
1. May your recovery go as well as possible! 2. Glad to see that making videos for us hasn't completely sucked the fun out of everything. I think I've watched every video you've put on RUclips... 3. Thanks for the gear intro in addition to the new FX rifles. The Side Shot update and the other accessories are so cool... 4. It's good to know that FX is an honorable company. I rarely hear anything like that either positive or negative and even then I usually just chalk it up to someone being unusually positive as being sponsored or unusually negative as being just a disgruntled whiner... 5. Super looking forward to the Utah Airguns video. That place looks super cool! That range...wow! 6. Happy New Year! Happy B-day! Buy a Lottery ticket and THEN go hide in the safe room! (Hope there's an X-box or something in there.) 7. Later dude!...lol
Good to see you Ted. I always appreciate hearing things the way only you get them across. I don't blame you for kicking social media to the curb. Sorry about your shoulder, the X-ray shows how bad it is.....yikes!! When I broke my shoulder in a fall on the ice several years back, it was no fun at all. Let me know if you ever want some company on the farms. Shooting partner, run a camera for you, whatever. After a year of hammering the birds at the 17 farms in my area, they're pretty thin. Take care Ted.
Always look forward to your videos. Please feel better soon and heal quickly from your surgery. Waiting patiently for your reviews of all the new products available and of the Dreamline line. Thanks for all you do for the sport of air gunning. Happy Birthday and buy a ticket.
Yo, Ted. Glad to see you back, and with such exciting news about FX. I can empathise with you about your shoulder. In my younger years, I rode motorcycle flat track competition. One night a race in 1970, I crashed and completely separated my right shoulder, all 3 connections. Surgery, of course, with steel pins. Took 18 months of healing and therapy to be able to function again. Hope yours heals sooner. Hope to meet you in Oct. at EBR.
I think another reason why FX as teamed up with a 3rd party is DonnyFL as a very good reputation in the air rifle industry,a true home grown business with super attention to detail, awesome customer service and speedy service but above DonnyFL silencers are among the best around and he`s a really nice guy.
Happy Birthday! Nice to see you again, and a good review/explanation of the Dreamline models. Ouch! sorry to hear about your injury, from personal experience, my advice is to be patient with your healing and recovery, one day at a time, it's a long process.
Ted, good to see you again, however, you need to heal up brother. Take care of yourself! I know, even though you don’t upload it, you are helping innovate the industry in ways that it was not able to before. Airgun companies listen to you and you have given the community a voice. What other industry is as astute to their customers as the airgun community. You will always be a legend in many people’s eyes.
Happy bday Ted. Damn brutal injury! I hope you get it fixed up soon. I've never been tempted to have facebook or twitter accounts and don't plan to ever. All I see coming from these things, for the people I know, is pain. That shit is for losers.
Thanks for all the good information as usual. It was awesome to meet you snowboarding in December and provide some really good advice. I think you shoot better than snowboard...lol. J/K. I hope your shoulder heals up. Look forward to your next video.
Thanks Ted for the look at the new FX's!! Happy Birthday and hope you can get your shoulder fixed and back in working and pain free order before spring!!
I dislocated my shoulder twice, once when I was 21 and again at 22. and had to have surgery. Trust me i know the feeling. Get it done. You wont regret it , well you might for a few months but afterwards you will be glad you did.I dont much crazy shit now that I'm past 40... LOL Glad to see you back in business.
As always really enjoyed your videos and the great information you impart! You were responsible, yes you were, for interesting me in the Crown which I purchased in .30 caliber. What a great rifle. I love it. I mean, you know, it's great. Hope your recovery is a quickie!
Thanks for sharing your birthday with us Ted. It's like you gave us a birthday present and I think we got the best present of all! Godspeed on the healing of the ol' shoulder there bud!
Happy Birthday, Ted! I hear you on plowing fearlessly through the mid-life crisis! No social media, cutting down on the risky behavior, etc. Thanks for the review. I'm looking to upgrade from the Disco/hawke/tko I've had since watching that vid you did so many (?!) years ago. I like the "Hockey Stick" too. Might be the one. You take care of yourself and I hope your recovery is smooth, brother! Peace, Andy
Hey Ted, I had the same injury. Don't worry it's heals really quickly. After a month I could use my arm, after 2 months I was 💯. U just keep that lump for about a year. Glad your back
Sorry to hear about your accident Ted... accidents do happen, but do be careful... even John Wick tries to be careful... and you are our John Wick in the airgunning world. News on the Dreamline Base makes me excited... maybe I will go back to airguns. Get better soon....and Happy Birthday.

I've been looking on YT for videos on a variety of air rifles and came across this one. I TRULY appreciate people like you who do NOT fit into the mold of the description of "social media types" [Bergan: As to coming off social (surely it should be antisocial) media well done! It just seems to be the haunt of Trolls and sociopaths.] as I have found those who use YT as an educational platform (everything from frying eggs to understanding super novae) should be given the credit they deserve. Keep in mind that those people (like yourself) who provide useful info are like pure water -- trolls etc. -- these are like a drop of food coloring added to the water. It doesn't take much of that to "color" the overall picture. But then -- where would be without water? Keep up the good work. And as others have commented, I too have had shoulder injuries so to some extent I know what you're going thru. If anything, let this incident remind you to savor those pleasurable moments in life even more!
Good to see your back! At least until surgery! Good luck on your surgery. I'm sure you'll be good as new once healed up. I too have stopped using social media.
Right on man. I’m a Wisconsin native myself and just went thru the same surgery plus a bicep tendon tear. Keep them videos coming get better wish a speedy recovery I’ve been out of work for 3mths.
I got a Level/grade 3 Shoulder Separation about 15 years ago. My orthopedic surgeon was a shoulder doctor for a MLB team. He told me at the time that if I was getting paid millions for a 95 mph fast ball, then I should do surgery. I was not obviously so I did not get surgery. Kind of wish I did though to be honest. My shoulder still hurts sometimes randomly and if definitely hurts the next morning when I sleep on it. So i say go for the surgery and keep us updated on the recovery. Good luck, big time fan of yours btw!
Happy birthday Ted good to see you back , we have the dreamline in the uk now on pre order but no price as of yet . Only thing missing from the selection is a .20 barrel.
Hi Ted first of all I would like to say happy New year and happy birthday to ya 👍And I'm just loving where fx are going with this new dreamline they've just taken things right to the next level again and I hope we here in the UK can get hold of these donnyfl silencers there fantastic and let's hope we see more of you in 2019 atb mate and get well soon you kickass..🤘
Nice to see you like John Prine - a great songsmith if there ever was one! Good luck with the surgery. I had a torn rotator cuff repaired a couple years ago. Very successful operation, but a somewhat challenging rehab - had to sleep in a recliner for a couple weeks following the surgery; couldn't get comfortable in bed. All is well now, though. Always enjoy your videos!
Ted! Where to start... Happy Birthday! Injuries just suck. Sorry you got penalized for (trying) staying young! I hope you heal well and heal quickly. Thanks so much for this timely video and review. I've been excited (and waiting and waiting) for the Dreamline. I was curious how they were going to make the DreamPup work - it'll be a Warcat/Wildcat for me based on your insight. Alas, Dreamline will give us so many more options (and another excuse to buy another FX). For selfish reasons I'm sad to see less of your posts, but understand. Plus, this is why I watch your content - quality vs quantity. Thanks again for being such a good advocate for our sport. All the Best.
Ted, good to have you back. Great review as usual, now I have to decide between this and the Daystate Regal regulated. I dislocated my shoulder years ago and it was the worse pain I ever experienced! You didn't mention the time frame for your surgery but we all expect you to be 99% soon! I also deleted Facebook and Instagram last year and couldn't be happier! See you at EBR 2019.
Holy shit you just got a million brownie points with me, John Prine is the ubermage. Also hope you feel better soon. It would absolutely suck to not be able to hunt this time of year. I've always enjoyed your winter hunting excursions.
Three beautiful FX air rifles and you can't even play with them what a shame. If I have the opportunity I'll be making videos all day for several weeks. I guess it's great to be a RUclips Star and get free stuff.
Hey Ted - Great to see you, but sorry about the shoulder.....Wow! - And 'Happy Birthday' to you. Smart move getting rid of that 'social media' ....... crap-ola! for the brain! . Enjoyed the info in this vlog!! ..........Cul, Vegasjim
"if English isnt your first language..." Thanks mate, saved me the hassle of trying to guess how that word is written and then googling the translation. Small things but it makes my life just that small bit easier. Oh and get well soon.
That injury is EXACTLY what retired me from college football, same shoulder. It took me two years to rehab that, mainly because it took me more than a year to regain my entire range of motion.
Hi Ted , I have a .22 Dreamline Tact Compact and am shooting at max 15 meters. Gun came with a Power Plenum and I have yet to get a chrony. i am shooting Hades 15.89gr pellets and my priority is pellet expansion. What regulator and port settings would you recommend plus any other settings?
Ted, What is your opinion of the dreampup and the rear cocking? I have been at war with, do I go with the new pup that has power adjustability and larger mag size, interchangeable liners or go with the wildcat or warcat. I am thinking of going with .25 caliber but just can't decided on this new pup. Is the rear cocking a deal breaker? Thanks, others are welcome to chime in!
Thanks for this video.i am confused with fx barrels.how many types of barrels fx makes.i hear about X barrel, smooth twists .and liner. Which one is the best which one you can shoot slugs.?thanks
You are obviously miserable from the pain of your recent injury and I wager that you got an earful from your better half...particularly after the other incident where you busted your head with the electric skateboarding without wearing a helmet. You are apparently a risk-taker and try to enjoy life to the fullest Ted! Please take care and have your shoulder injury operated as soon as possible before fibrosis sets in and successful results will not be as good the longer you delay. Belated happy birthday! I always enjoy your high-quality videos.
I've actually watch this video several times and now ordered myself a dream line bottle tech takes forever to get it but what I wanted to say to you Ted was you're the only reason I went with FX and I love how wonderfully f***** up you are
I've got cadaver bone in my jaw for a simple tooth implant. They inject ground up bits of bone to form a solid foundation that they can screw a tooth implant into. But they overflow the hole a little and I was spitting out fragments of some dead person's bones for the rest of the day after the procedure. Kind of creepy.
Sucks to be you right now, less the three air guns of course, just more pain knowing you can't really play with them the way you'd like to. Hope you mend well and fully, prayers going up for your healing bro.
Happy to see you posting again. Heal up fast and do what they tell you. One question though... before your injury did you get to experiment with the stx slug barrel at all and if so what did you think?
Jason C I didn’t have time to fully experiment. Only tested one day and they worked great at 50, but didn’t get a chance at 100. For now, I defer to matt Dubber for all slug info. :)
HoldOver Vlog The videos I watch with Matt look awesome. I’m on my second slug liner the first one wouldn’t group at all so it was replaced but the second one is the same way. I’ve wasted about $200 on slugs trying to get it to group and I just can’t get it. Was kinda hoping you had some advice for me. As for now healing up should be your top priority good luck and get well soon.
Love your channel Ted but I'm not a fan of FX. My dad and I have sent 3 different FX guns in for repairs 2-3 times each. They have had our guns longer than we have. Once I get my Streamline back, it will be sold and I'll buy a Daystate.
sorry to hear that about your shoulder. I wish you a good rehabilitation! damn, those are som good looking air rifles!! im about to buy my own when im turning 18 ( due to the law ect here in The Netherlands) but i dont know which one to go with. i mainly going to use them to shoot pest birds (starlings, some goose variants, part of the crow familie, pigeons and those flying rats: The House Sparrow) most of it will be @ 50-100Meters. But i also want to shoot at the range also 50-100 Meters. my brother already has a .25 breakaction rifle so .25 is the cal. which FX gun would be suitable?? and what would be a good scope for it? thx in advance, Keep up the good work!!
Looking forward to your next video already Ted, get well soon buddy. Respect to FX on working with people on their idea's instead of ripping folks off 👏
Getting older Brother. Slow down or pay the pain down the road. Had 4 hip operations, rotator cuff, 24 facet injections in cervical region, 14 epidurals, shoulder replacement and need a hip replacement. Just turned 50 and in some pain!!!!Good luck with the surgery and keep up the videos...
I just destroyed my shoulder as well, two 100 % muscle tear from the bone both shoulders I rolled my new can am xmr 1000r at 50 mph in the blind side of a trail curve some folks in a side by side was stopped getting beer out the cooler in the middle of the trail......so now I am worthless till the surgery 6 month recovery and another three months rehab anyways I wish you well on your recovery!!!
Ted, I started to save for a Crown. Now I put an order in for my Dream Lite. .25 cal. I might want to try HFT comp - the guys from Airheads - Charlie, Roger, David, Roy, etc have my interest peaked... but will the Lite be a good HFT gun? Will I get the Lite and in a years or so have grown out of it? I'd rather continue to save for the Crown if I'm going to grow out of the Lite. Any suggestions you have - no I'm not looking for you to tell me which gun to by, but, I'd respect your opinion. I'd love to get up to Utah for the completion in June but I don't think I'll have my Lite in time. Good Call on social Media - dumped it years ago and felt way better for it. Thanks again for your help. dlfP.S. Getting old is a bitch.... the reading glasses will get to you between 48-52... it did me anyway and as an Army Helicopter Pilot - it was a pain in th e backside. Take Care and Scouts Out!!
Thank you for all your videos Ted. You have made me a keen airgunner in a place where not much attention is paid to the sport What you have left behind is a veritable encyclopaedia of the subject. I hope your past work remains online for future airgunners. Have a well earned break from your videos Best wishes from Downunder😢

Can't wait for the full review on these. ...glade to see you back ted. Oh hey Bob.
Happy birthday and good luck with your surgery.
welcome back ted, nice to see you making videos again
Only thing missing from the selection is a .20 barrel.
darran newman fx doesn’t make any .20 barrels. I’ll advocate on your behalf at IWA this year. :)
Happy birthday!! Your videos are my absolute favorite! Get well soon..

@@psnwpestsnipernorthwest2196 See you there.
@@rolandbergan6073 Haha , I won't be there , but Donny will be, with his silencers.
Look on the brightside, Ted: If you're getting cadaver ligaments? "Zombie" could make for a cool nickname
Dude! Take your time and heal! Ted, you need to be 100 to shoot more pigeons.
Thanks for that great effort for making that video... hope you get better soon dude!!!
All the Best.
get2anthony “penalized for trying to stay young”. I like that and plan to use it. :)
Love seeing new videos. Get well soon
Man the fact u did this video with the amount of pain ur in. Speaks to ur love , passion and commitment to the air gun community
Good to see you back Ted. Take it easy you are not as young as you used to be. I like the light also but tactical.
Great video, can’t wait for your shooting videos, feel better soon
Hey Ted - Great to see you, but sorry about the shoulder.....Wow! - And 'Happy Birthday' to you. Smart move getting rid of that 'social media' ....... crap-ola! for the brain! . Enjoyed the info in this vlog!! ..........Cul, Vegasjim
"if English isnt your first language..." Thanks mate, saved me the hassle of trying to guess how that word is written and then googling the translation. Small things but it makes my life just that small bit easier.
Oh and get well soon.
I second your laudatory statements regarding DonnyFL moderators. I put a KOI moderator on my .25 cal Impact X, and the sound reduction was dramatic.
Nice to see you back online. Hope your doing good and keep the videos coming especially the hunting ones
Happy your back, love all your videos. Get well
Happy Birthday and Well wishes. : )
Great video Ted. Get better soon my friend. These guns are awesome!
Happy birthday Ted! Just please avoid any kind of boards in the future. Either snow- or skate- or whatever. ;)
100% agree with you about social media. Got rid of it 7 or 8 years ago and have not looked back.
Sorry to hear about your shoulder, you need to rest up and heal fast before the weather warms up so you can get to shooting again.
I feel your pain. We must be a bit sinked, I broke my clavicle the Saturday after Christmas. A very sympathetic fan.
I'm a novice, if is not much to ask could you please provide some details on what went wrong, thank you
Great to see a video from you, hope the shoulder surgery comes out ok. Happy Birthday
sorry to hear that about your shoulder.
Yes sorry to hear about the injury, I had a type 2 in a car accident and that was painful enough...can't imagine a full 5!!!
I just destroyed my shoulder as well, two 100 % muscle tear from the bone both shoulders I rolled my new can am xmr 1000r at 50 mph in the blind side of a trail curve some folks in a side by side was stopped getting beer out the cooler in the middle of the trail......so now I am worthless till the surgery 6 month recovery and another three months rehab
anyways I wish you well on your recovery!!!
Good info as always. I feel for your injury. Get better buddy
Great to see you again Ted
Thank you for all your videos Ted. You have made me a keen airgunner in a place where not much attention is paid to the sport
What you have left behind is a veritable encyclopaedia of the subject.
I hope your past work remains online for future airgunners.
Have a well earned break from your videos
Best wishes from Downunder😢
