I worked for Zenith Electronics in Springfield, Missouri until 1992. They sent my job to Mexico in 1992. When I lost my job I went back to school & got a degree in Applied Science Medical Assistant. Other words I can do more then an LPN can do. I went into the laboratory part of my training. So glad Zenith Electronics left & I went back to college & got my degree. Went to work for one of the largest hospitals in Springfield, Missouri for 16 years & now I'm on disability since 2007 & I want to travel a little bit. 8m getting a 8x20 off grid package soon. Custom home? This is your sweet spot. You have some of the best custom homes. You should build more. As much as I like the iBox, they will not turn the hearts of the masses simply because they are more affordable. The visual appeal of these custom homes will get your foot in the door.

I'm not sad about the Southern Nevada tiny home community falling thru. As a 35 year Nevadan, I'm actually very happy about that. I don't want you to fail; it's just that South Nevada is NOT where you want to build an off-grid community. Two days walk from Death Valley is not going to sell well for off-grid, or even on-grid... or living well. Sorry. I can't change Nature. It's just I lived down there. And now I live up here. You saw Nevada on I-10... yeah, that was not so great for our state. You know, there is another major interstate that goes thru Nevada... I-80. I-10 goes to Southern California. Heard it's great, been there plenty of times.... not sure I agree about the great part, but... Then there's Northern California. Grape vines and wineries, but also ports. And I-80 cuts right thru the heart of the middle of California money and industry right on the Nevada border of the I-80 corridor. It's the ports part that should get your attention. Sacramento alone commands 60% of all the traffic moving East from California. And that traffic moves along the I-80. Have you seen Winnemucca? Elko? I-80 corridor... and just empty land. Cargo money flowing east and cargo money flowing west; and nothing but community opportunity in between. For 500 miles in Nevada along I-80, nobody is placing down their sign... from California to Utah. Northern Nevada. High desert; pine trees and soft winds.

I've really been struggling since my hip surgery. All the muscles and tendons in my leg went spastic and has been difficult and extremely painful to walk. I started PT, but it's going to be a long process, to get stronger. But you can bet my ass, I'll be heading down there to see your tiny homes first hand and meet you all too. I'm 46 and at one point we only had a black and white TV! How we got a color one was that sometime around the time that I was 4 or 5 my grandparents color TV broke. They fixed it and gave it to us. The no remote control TV thing is just as unbelievable as a repairable TV is to young people! Lol
My parents had a zenith too, but my dad finally invested in a automatic outdoor antenna, all he did was turn the knob and the antenna moved and you stopped when your show came it, but he always made me get up and do it

Yep, a handful of folks on this channel keep insisting they don't, but here's the proof, and they allow customizations to the Model homes, and add-on's to all the homes ITH builds.
@@susanbeals7597these custom homes have been on the books for over 2 years... Since before they stopped doing customs. That being said, you are absolutely correct, they do some customizations to the models... And even the incredibix has an amenity list to choose from. But they used to do fully from scratch top to bottom
@@susanbeals7597 Randy Jones states right on the above video that ITH only builds about SIX custom tiny homes per year. And you can bet the buyers are paying a premium price for them. So the average Joe/Jane just can't call them up and order a custom house. They have maybe a couple dozen options that can be added to their standard homes, but just adding some options doesn't make them custom homes.
@@RanSan1 - They are customizing my build for me, and even with all the extras and the 4 additional feet they are adding to my living room, it will still be many thousands of dollars less expensive than the nearest estimate I got from other builders, and will be twice as beautiful (the others were all just rectangular boxes). Also, I'm getting a few changes that I requested that are not on that list. So say what you want, I'm extremely happy with their willingness to customize their Model homes.
@@susanbeals7597 What you're describing isn't a custom home. Making a few build changes and adding some options to a standard home plan designed by the builder, doesn't make it a custom home. A custom home is where a buyer goes to the builder and stipulates exactly how they want their house built from scratch. Go to the segment in the above video where Randy Jones is showing the house with the overhead door. He very clearly states that ITH only makes about half a dozen custom homes per year. Just adding a few build changes and options to a standard home plan designed by the builder, does not make it a custom home. 😊
Randy i’ve heard you say many times about permitting for homes 10 foot wide just a fyi, the same permit for 10 foot wide will cover up to 12 foot wide, if you order the permit for 12 foot wide you will be able to handle anything up to 12 foot with no escorts, i hope i explained that right ! keep up the good work
we had a lot of downed trees over here in the smokies yesterday, I'm about to share it, one camper here had a tree big branches fall on it as well, next to Douglas Lake Dandridge side of Sevier county, love all the tiny houses
my parents were the same. They would call me out of my bedroom where I was studying for test to stand at the TV and turn the channels, and at that time there were only about four channels, so they could see which show they wanted to see. They also would call me from the basement bedroom to heat up a can of vegetables, because at that time that was the cheapest type of vegetables to feed all of us children in the house. My stepmother would watch me cook the vegetables at the stove. I don’t know what purpose that was her standing there, watching me while I stood there at the stove. She could’ve just done it herself. I do love all your homes. If I had some place to put one of those, I would purchase one. I’m up here in the Milwaukee area of Wisconsin and I don’t think there are any places to put a Home like yours.
After looking at how you put your walls and stuff stuff together, have you ever considered putting together cabin kits?? For people who some how were able to afford land, and don't need to move it around, but who can't afford the big houses.
This is actually a cool idea!! Don't know if you're old enough to remember the Jim Walter home kits that people could order from Sears. I grew up in a rural area where this was so popular for young married couples. (I think they started at less than $8000 or something similar. Why people could afford homes. Lol.)
They tried kits before... You could email them to ask them to consider kits again down the line... In the meantime, their solution is the incredibox line... Where you have to finish it out as you please. They also sell add-a-box which also comes unfinished

This massive home with vinyl thatch roof as a custom home is 10 x 40 or so. I am delighted to see the exterior. I am curious about the interior. The Abbington 10 x 24 with the special lil roof over and to one side of the door. I like the new panels with no visual fasteners even though there is a $2500 price increase to choose them. I enjoyed our 10 for 10. RJO 15$. I send a smile to each of You from Canada.
Amanda and Randy is so wish I could live there, im 74 years young. But have family here that's depend on me and my home is paid for . but have 4 family members living with me in 1040 square foot home with one bathroom. Wish I could sell this house and buy 3 tiny homes. I bought a 10x20 shed and my son converted it into a tiny homes for my daughter. I then had a shed built 13x26 were making it a storage ,bathroom, laundry room. . but wish we had land to put 3 or 4 tiny homes on. ITH does "incredible" custom homes. I remember seeing a video or a photo piece, honestly can't remember which, of a luxury custom home highlighted by a person or a company that reviews tiny homes and the luxury home was made by ITH. It was stunning, breathtaking. This morning my mind can't seem to get awake enough to think of the amazing adjectives that would describe it. Now THAT was an Incredible Tiny Home. I hope someone knows which one I'm talking about and can post a link.

That being said, you are absolutely correct, they do some customizations to the models... And even the incredibix has an amenity list to choose from. Randy Jones states right on the above video that ITH only builds about SIX custom tiny homes per year. And you can bet the buyers are paying a premium price for them. So the average Joe/Jane just can't call them up and order a custom house. They have maybe a couple dozen options that can be added to their standard homes, but just adding some options doesn't make them custom homes.
@@RanSan1 - They are customizing my build for me, and even with all the extras and the 4 additional feet they are adding to my living room, it will still be many thousands of dollars less expensive than the nearest estimate I got from other builders, and will be twice as beautiful (the others were all just rectangular boxes). Also, I'm getting a few changes that I requested that are not on that list. So say what you want, I'm extremely happy with their willingness to customize their Model homes.

What you're describing isn't a custom home. Making a few build changes and adding some options to a standard home plan designed by the builder, doesn't make it a custom home. A custom home is where a buyer goes to the builder and stipulates exactly how they want their house built from scratch.
Go to the segment in the above video where Randy Jones is showing the house with the overhead door. He very clearly states that ITH only makes about half a dozen custom homes per year. Just adding a few build changes and options to a standard home plan designed by the builder, does not make it a custom home. 😊

Randy i’ve heard you say many times about permitting for homes 10 foot wide just a fyi, the same permit for 10 foot wide will cover up to 12 foot wide, if you order the permit for 12 foot wide you will be able to handle anything up to 12 foot with no escorts, i hope i explained that right ! keep up the good work
we had a lot of downed trees over here in the smokies yesterday, I'm about to share it, one camper here had a tree big branches fall on it as well, next to Douglas Lake Dandridge side of Sevier county, love all the tiny houses

my parents were the same. They would call me out of my bedroom where I was studying for test to stand at the TV and turn the channels, and at that time there were only about four channels, so they could see which show they wanted to see. They also would call me from the basement bedroom to heat up a can of vegetables, because at that time that was the cheapest type of vegetables to feed all of us children in the house. My stepmother would watch me cook the vegetables at the stove. I don’t know what purpose that was her standing there, watching me while I stood there at the stove. She could’ve just done it herself.
I do love all your homes. If I had some place to put one of those, I would purchase one. I’m up here in the Milwaukee area of Wisconsin and I don’t think there are any places to put a Home like yours.
After looking at how you put your walls and stuff stuff together, have you ever considered putting together cabin kits?? For people who some how were able to afford land, and don't need to move it around, but who can't afford the big houses.
This is actually a cool idea!! Don't know if you're old enough to remember the Jim Walter home kits that people could order from Sears. I grew up in a rural area where this was so popular for young married couples. (I think they started at less than $8000 or something similar. Why people could afford homes. Lol.)

They tried kits before... You could email them to ask them to consider kits again down the line... In the meantime, their solution is the incredibox line... Where you have to finish it out as you please. They also sell add-a-box which also comes unfinished

They're only available for placement on the Grove, and all lots are currently rented there. You would have to get on a waiting list.

If i was ready to pick a tiny home and a lot from you, a two bedroom, first floor bedroom at least for one of them and more than usual loft height, with sky light in loft, what is estimated cost...i would rent land or buy which ever is best..

This massive home with vinyl thatch roof as a custom home is 10 x 40 or so. I am delighted to see the exterior. I am curious about the interior. The Abbington 10 x 24 with the special lil roof over and to one side of the door. I like the new panels with no visual fasteners even though there is a $2500 price increase to choose them. I enjoyed our 10 for 10. RJO 15$. I send a smile to each of You from Canada.

Amanda and Randy is so wish I could live there, im 74 years young. But have family here that's depend on me and my home is paid for . but have 4 family members living with me in 1040 square foot home with one bathroom. Wish I could sell this house and buy 3 tiny homes. I bought a 10x20 shed and my son converted it into a tiny homes for my daughter. I then had a shed built 13x26 were making it a storage ,bathroom, laundry room. . but wish we had land to put 3 or 4 tiny homes on. ITH does "incredible" custom homes. I remember seeing a video or a photo piece, honestly can't remember which, of a luxury custom home highlighted by a person or a company that reviews tiny homes and the luxury home was made by ITH. It was stunning, breathtaking. This morning my mind can't seem to get awake enough to think of the amazing adjectives that would describe it. Now THAT was an Incredible Tiny Home. I hope someone knows which one I'm talking about and can post a link.
ITH doesn't do many custom homes anymore. According to owner Randy Jones, they only build about six custom homes per year now.
