    I’ve never fired my caddie. Once or twice my caddie has died on me mid round.
    But to be fair it was my fault. I forgot to fully charge my Garmin GPS golf watch.

    Her comments:
    "We had a couple of disagreements here and there, and I wasn't in the right state of mind. I knew I needed to switch and just have a little bit more fun out there," Korda said. "It's a U.S. Open. It's tough out there. It just wasn't working out.
    " … It was tough for me, because I care about Jason [the caddy] a lot. He is a great guy. That's just how it happens sometimes in life. That was one of those things today that it just unfolded. It was very hard for me to do. I'm not that type of person to take these things really easily. For me it was very hard to tell him that and it took a lot for me."

    Pathetic how golfers think the caddie is problem. Anyone who golfs knows that the majority of your career that builds before you play pros is spent without a caddie and you did just fine. But once you feel entitled because someone else is carrying your bag and grabbing the club you throw in anger, you take zero responsibility for your actions.

There isn't any my receivers couldnt get open or my line didnt block today or our pitcher sucked today or the coach doesnt know what hes doing. Its just you and your swing. Put a good swing on the ball and you will get good results. Put a bad swing and get bad results. Its always 100% your fault.

      😂 she makes millions of dollars every year golfing...what the hell is there to be stressed about? And even if she was stressed, mad, not having a good time, whatever it don’t matter that’s lame as hell to act that way. Firing a caddie mid round is a weak move and shows weak character. She needs that pedestal she thinks she’s on kicked out from under her, preferably while face planting. lol She has final say on everything. Any shot she takes she has to take responsibility for, seeing how she is the one swinging the club and all. It’s just very unprofessional to do that. She should have waited until after the tournament and did it in private. To do that in front of thousands of people is extremely embarrassing for the caddie, that’s his livelihood. She could have ruined his chances to caddie for others.

      Stupples, who won the 2004 Women's British Open, said the "revolving door" is largely the result of players "just feeling like they need a different look." I don’t think that should have been allowed to be honest. He could have scoped out the back nine while she was on we front. Checking pin positions and how certain outta break. All the stupid rules in golf, you’d figure that would have been one of them.

    • @davidw4970
      @davidw4970 2 года назад

      Given that any good caddy will walk the course early, following the greenkeepers round for pin changes and figuring wind conditions/directions etc. then the idea of a caddie “scoping out” the back 9 is a wee bit daft.

      Um, disagree. There surely has to be some kind of history here. And just like how in the real world it's really not cool to fire somebody mid-shift (unless they committed an actual crime) there is no admirable way to fire a caddy mid-tournament, let alone mid-round. Poor form. But it was 8 years ago. Hopefully things worked out and they're on good enough terms today.
