Hello, oh wow this is so cool. I need one of those. We collect mugs and cups so much that there is not enough room in the cabinets for them lol. Years ago I would have needed three of those wall holders lol. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day.
Hello. That's funny. Apparently it's quite common for people to collect mugs. Somebody approached me at our church and asked if I would make them one. Definitely a good idea for displaying mugs or actively using them.
@@LandtoHouse Yes it is common and my mom use to collect salt and pepper shakers and display them in the kitchen :) That is cool and so economical. Yeah I like just about any mug and my son and daughter in law collect batman, joker, Harley Quinn, star wars, and there is a PlayStation mug also, so we tend to have alot, but it is all good. 😃👍
@@LandtoHouse yeah there are alot and I am a wonder woman fan so they get those and anything charlie brown lol, but I drink alot of tea also so the mugs come in very handy. 😊👍
I have watched your video at least 25 times . Thanks for creating this . It is the most appealing of all the dyi videos . Can I have the measurements, please ? I am really a beginner trying to display all her mugs .
Bruh. This is great. I was looking into buying one for Xmas for my mother but I think I'll save me that good chunk of money and do it myself because those aren't cheap!! I'm thinking I'll probably stain mine a dark grey. Thanks for this.
@@LandtoHouse Yeah for sure, I am a paint contractor so painting/staining comes natural for me. Dabble in some light carpentry but have never attempted to build something like this, I will give it a try. Thanks again.
Harbor Freight has a brad nailer that will also drive staples. I use brad nails in place of finishing nails. I use it for staples too.The cost is between 15 and 25 dollars depending on the sale. I believe it is currently $15. I just finished a project with mine.
Hey all, I believe the measurements would be as follows, knowing 1x4 is actually 3/4x3-3/4 - There are 9 spaces across, which are 6 in. each (54 in.) and 10 1x4s that are 3/4 in wide (7.5 in) - While cutting the longer inside pieces, he said they were 34.5 inches, which means the length of the outside short pieces would be 34.5 + two 1x4s that are 3/4 wide (1.5 in). Two outside longer pieces = 61.5 inches each Two outside shorter pieces = 36 inches each Eight longer inside pieces = 34.5 inches each Thirty-six inside short pieces = 6 inches each Let me know if you believe there is an error or if you try this. Unfortunately, the one I build will have two fewer rows.
This project took soooo long. Or at least it seemed too. My mug... haha. Now I can focus on better projects. I have a bunk bed conversion in the works that is really cool.
So....if 1x4s are about 3/4 in thick in actuality...then the length of the long outer horizontal pieces must be 61.5 inches??? And you have 6 inches in between each board, is my math correct? lol
Thanks for nothing Pal. My wife just saw this and now she wants one. What is the length you used for the horizontal frame pieces, you said your vertices are 3 ft., symmetrically the top and bottom SHOULD be 5 ft. Am I close????? Thanks, simple, inexpensive and efficient. (Get a nailer)
Haha your welcome :) I go through the same thing with my wife. The horizontal sections are all little pieces. They were slightly different sizes because I did not get the vertical exactly equal.
Land to House Ok, I make those same “happy accidents.” I meant the frame top and bottom pieces, they look like 5 footers. Sorry. Thanks for your service by the way, big salute.

Thank you! I actually gave this to a lady in my town. I dont have access to get measurements.
Looks good!
Thank you. Took some time to make but turned out well.

It took a good bit of time to build but turned out well. Diy can save a lot and you will know the quality.

Great video
Thank you! It turned out better than I thought it would.
Gave me some ideas. Making a similar holder but for running medals and trophies.
Nice. This one has held up well.
Well done without a finish nail gun

Wow that is a great deal. I do need to look into one of those. Seems like a tool that I would use all the time.
Hey all,
I believe the measurements would be as follows, knowing 1x4 is actually 3/4x3-3/4
- There are 9 spaces across, which are 6 in. each (54 in.) and 10 1x4s that are 3/4 in wide (7.5 in)
- While cutting the longer inside pieces, he said they were 34.5 inches, which means the length of the outside short pieces would be 34.5 + two 1x4s that are 3/4 wide (1.5 in).
Two outside longer pieces = 61.5 inches each
Two outside shorter pieces = 36 inches each
Eight longer inside pieces = 34.5 inches each
Thirty-six inside short pieces = 6 inches each

nice work!
Thank you!
Nice
Thank you. It is working well!
good job !, can you make one with led light ?
You probably could! I am not exactly sure how that would work. Would the lights go around the edge?
@@LandtoHouse make hole all along wood. cable led light passing around all the mugs
Certainly possible. Or could just install some track lighting above it :)
What kind of wood is being used and dimensions. 1” x 4” ? 8ft? Would appreciate
Can you make one and sell it? I want one this big.
It’s been 4 years…did you ever get your finish nail gun?
Never did get one. Probably could have used one several times over.
What’s the wood size ? I need to make this one !!!! Thank you
I used 1x4s for this.
You might have said it in the video, but what is the depth inside the cubbies?
I used 1x4s so its actual size is 3.5" deep. (I think. It's been a day or two since I made this)
@@LandtoHouse Awesome! Thanks!
So which mug is yours, I mean coffee cup.😉
And another one bites the dust, I mean project. 🦀

I’m also waiting for the solar panel installation. 🦀
Yes me too. I hope to get to that very soon.
You could have hid the L brackets by flipping them upside down. They then would have been hidden behind the wood.
We thought about that and decided that some nice trim would look nice on the edge so we left the brackets down.

@@LandtoHouse I am also curious what the outside dominsions are? 5ftx3ft?
Should add up to 5.125 ft for the horizontal pieces.
