Nice one! I have been to Skopelos a few yrs ago and it is one of the gems of the greek islands I can tell you as a Greek :) Thanks for sharing Subscribed 👍
So, I travel 2,3 times per year to Greece and have now visited Greece over 50 times in total, and every time blowing away my expectations, leaving me and my senses (eyes, ears, stomach, heart) always overblown when I come back. I have still so so many other places and regions to visit in the mainland as on the islands even despite my many times being there. If one truly knows how incredibly diverse Greece is in its spectacular beauties, you truly lose your heart to this nation. Either way, I have not been to Skopelos yet, or any of the islands in the Sporades island group besides Evia island (Greece's secret but hidden 2nd largest island in the country being 170 km long)
i could not have put this into any better words. greece and greek culture is one that you just get so attached to and feel so at home. i just got back from my 5th trip a few days ago and i feel very sad and cant stop thinking about how badly i want to live there. i actually visited skopelos on this trip, it is definitely an island you should visit. i seriously lost my heart there
Elsie Thompson it costs nothing to climb the cliff and I think you can take the buses, there was good public transport but we rented a car. And I can’t remember any names of restaurants but there’s a lot of good places in Skopelos town down by the docks. x
How did you get to Skopelos? I'm planning to go there in September, but it seems that it is quite difficult to find a ferry on this route, do you have maybe any tips? Awesome video
Hey, I’m going to skopelos in June and a had the same problem with the ferries. We decided to fly to Thessaloniki then take a bus to Volos and then take the ferry to skopelos. It’s quite a long journey but I hope it’s worth it:)
Hi! Thank you so much! We took the plane to Skiathos and then took the ferry over to Skopelos! I don't know if anything has changed now due to covid but it was really easy and simple when we did it. :)) Hope you will have an amazing trip!!
From Athens: 1. take the bus to Volos then the ferry 2. Take the bus to Evoia Mandoudi and then the ferry (this might be more affordable i think) From Thessaloniki: 1. Now we have a direct ferry to Skopelos but idk if it will be available in September 2. Or take the bus to Volos and then the ferry. Also in September its early fall here so there might be cooler and its common to have light rain.
Hi!! Oh that's so exciting! We lived in Skopelos town and there were a few places you could rent a car. But in almost every village/town there's some place that you can rent a car or a scooter :))
Greece is a tourist-friendly country since the 60's, they know how to communicate even if it happens that some are not super-fluent in English, they'll make it happen. But you have also the new generation which can speak more than a few languages.. (French, English, Spanish)
Wow this is absolutely incredible! 😍 Check out my last video: ruclips.net/video/2DyHE2qOjoc/видео.html to discover my top 7 Places in Greece. You really have to see them!🙌
Awww, thank you so much, it is very important to know that foreigners support that our country is beautiful.😃🤗🇬🇷
you literally went on my dream holiday, so jealous!! will definitely try and visit Skopelos ASAP :))
It doesn’t seem like on the films because in the film hardly anyone lived there but it seems more populated in real life 😀
Its not so populated during the winter tho but during summers there's always tourists
the movies are supposed to take place on a fictional island called Kalokairi (meaning summer in greek) so they made it to their preferences

Greece is home for all human beings, who believe in democracy, equal human rights and freedom. Plus it’s a beautiful country.
beautiful place
You deserve more likes and followers tbh 🥰much love from a Greek resident
Aww thank you so much, that makes me so happy to hear you liked it
mama mia was filmed in SKIATHOS !!
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I love this video
Did you need to know a lot of Greek there or was it easy to navigate speaking English?
Most Greeks speak English, you will definitely be able to communicate.
Greece is a tourist-friendly country since the 60's, they know how to communicate even if it happens that some are not super-fluent in English, they'll make it happen. But you have also the new generation which can speak more than a few languages.. (French, English, Spanish)
This is so beautiful 🫶🫶
Drömmen😍❤️
It’s ok, but how come the corals all dead? Just seaweed and fish
