I love that fish finder toss at 5:45. I will often run a line of tip ups at night for burbot. I almost always suspend the bait at least a couple of inches off bottom. I usually catch a 50/50 split of Burbot and walleyes.
My cabin is at Weyakwin and we had a terrible year with slush. I feel the pain slugging through it. Good luck men! What a great concept to start the early ice season.

Me to without a doubt!!! I still go crazy over that 37" brown trout they caught on 39 hours..that segment with that music in backround and knowing that feeling of fishing with your brother!! That moment that fish comes out of the water and you two realize its a brown trout is pure gold..thats a feeling unlike any other...i would be in tears to catch a brown like that with my brother...i almost tear up watching it again and again showing ppl lol

@@fishinggeeks I also have a ten inch flyte for my old ion ,that's why I also have two batteries because it chews through them. The eight inch will last for way more holes as you know . Here in Alberta I only use the ten when the ice is still under a foot thick . Happy fishing guys !
