I’m a longhorn fan, but I’ve learned to love and respect Coach Stoops! Not many coaches like him anymore.

Same! I cursed his name for many years while OU kicked the crap out of the horns, but he’s a damn good coach, and gets his teams ready to play. Respect

I just watched Fozzy Whitaker make an appearance on the Oklahoma breakdown with Teddy & Gabe . I could tell immediately that I really like that guy. I've learned that there's some times that I can hate a program but still have respect for the players and coaches

I'm a Longhorn fan, but Bob Stoops' body of work as a college coach is admirable and I, have to say, I took great pleasure in the Sooners beat-down of the Florida State Seminoles in the 2001 Orange Bowl.

As a Sooners fan the feeling was mutual when Vince took down the Trojans in '05. I may have been a bigger UT fan than most UT fans that night 😅

I feel guilty for having despised Coach Stoops for the way he outmaneuvered Texas so many times. By watching his shows for the last couple of years I have come to see what a good, and honorable man he is. I am still not a fan of the Sooner program, but certainly appreciate Coach Stoops, his opinions, and his football acumen. I look forward to hearing his comments and interviews in the future.

This is a great example of what being the head coach at a school like Oklahoma does to you. During Brent’s first stay in Norman I got to know him pretty well. Super personal guy, energetic, and just seemed happy with life. Bob always seemed reserved, a little stressed, and business like. Now that Brent is in the big chair he comes off much more like Bob used to. And now we all get to see Bob being himself. The pressure on this guys is something I probably can’t even comprehend.

OU didn’t make Bob Stoops. Bob Stoops didn’t make Oklahoma. Oklahoma is lucky to have Bob Stoops on their side. Everyone loves that guy.

Brent will settle in and get more comfortable when he starts getting his recruits and he's got a few seasons under his belt. Let's not forget his wife is also going through cancer treatment. That can't be easy.

Love you Coach Stoops. I appreciate all you have have done for Sooner Nation as a coach and even after your tenure as head coach. You are a great example to many.
I‘be also enjoyed seeing your son, Drake, play these past few years. He’s a great player and I’m sure you are very proud father. I look forward to seeing what he and the Sooners do against Texas this weekend. BOOMER!!!

There's more parity this season because of the new clock rule. Stopping the clock every time 10 yards is gained did nothing but give the team with more depth a massive unfair advantage.

This is the first time in over 14 years Texas has been relevant. Meanwhile OU has won 8 Big12 Titles, been to the CFP 4 times. (Yes we haven’t won a game I know). But at least we got there. If we didn’t have some of the worst defenses ever, we probably would’ve won a couple Chips.
