Merry Christmas Dalton. First off we learn by doing sometimes we make mistakes. We know you're on the right track because you're willing to admit your mistake. With that being said I am a remodeling contractor so don't be afraid to ask questions I'm sure I'm not the only one that's willing to help.
That actually is very good to know thanks for mentioning that. I’m surprised you’re interested in watching remodels after working on them yourself hahaha
@marchingmoto I love what I do and that passion is what drives me. I think when I subscribe to your channel I was lucky number 13 LOL the reason why I'm here watching your content is because I can see your drive and your passion.
Never seen a tub like that,I like it.Please when you put your tile down use a towel or a rubber backed rug to step out on when you get out of the shower, tile gets really slick, don't want to see a video of you all banged up😜Have a wonderful Christmas with your family!!
I like the tile too, and in the long run, it's way better than vinyl. Also, it's easier to hide minor imperfections with tile setting. A thought as you get into running water lines, every joint is a potential leak, and every elbow will create a little pressure drop. Swooping curves are way safer and more efficient than nice tidy corners. Once the sheetrock is up, nobody will see how you ran the piping. Things are happening fast now.
I love how ambitious you are to do all of this and allowing your community to help you learn along the way. No better way to learn than just doing. Love these videos!
I love the tile. The tiles naturally have some variation in color tones. So I always open three boxes of tile at a time, so I can select the ones I want to place next to each tile based on shades. You will also need a x large sponge to wipe off grout film.
I used floor tiles just like that! They are SUPER SLIPPERY with wet feet buddy! The contractor warned me about that and I went ahead with them anyway much to my regret! I should have gone with a stone textured in hindsight! Great progress you're making! Merry Christmas!
Great progress, Dalton. Appreciate you sharing your mistakes as well as your successes:-D The tile is lovely and you couldn't go past it at that price! Merry Christmas xo
Hey Dalton!! It's been a while. I've been working out of town and my signal was complet garbage so I missed like 3 of your videos. But I'm so happy to get to catch up and see all your progress, it looks great I didn't expect you to get that far this fast.... All of a sudden you went from being a window installer to a jack of all trades!!! Looks good on yea keep it up bud lol
For added comfort I would suggest that you put the electric radiant floor heat in. With the amount of outside wall you have and the lack of a heat source you will need something. The cable goes down under the tile and keeps the floor warm. Nothing comparable to stepping out of the shower onto a warm floor. Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas Dalton. Thank goodness there's a solution for every thing right!? Doesn't matter how the water gets there as long as it gets there. Love the tile pattern, it'll be great. I'm enjoying watching your progress, and soon enough you'll be peeing in there. 🤣🤣
I know all about analysis paralysis. It’s difficult to not make a mistake with a that size of project, but that’s part of learning. Over the long run, I think you’ll like that tile better than you would the black and white. If you’re HVAC to that bathroom isn’t great, I would consider installing radiant heating under the tile. It would help to warm the bathroom. Merry Christmas!
I got a gas heater for some supplemental heat to this side of the house. I looked into under tile heating but i haven’t seen any that has very good reviews
@@marchingmoto That makes perfect sense. You can get one of those vent free gas heaters for less than $300 that will heat more of your house and is probably much cheaper to run.
Dalton. Great job. Mistakes are a good learning tool. It’s good that you care and are going to correct it. Nice work. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Holiday! 👍🎄🎄👍
🎄🌲🎄 Merry Christmas Dalton. Thank you for sharing your interests and your challenges here on You Tube. 🌹 And in so doing, for becoming a welcoming part of my life throughout 2024. 🌹 I look forward to spending next year here with you as you continue on your journey. 🌹 You're a " one-of-a-kind " young man. I love that you do things RIGHT. I agree, best idea not to take chances on that fitting under concrete down the road - that would be a nightmare fix. I always think about resale & have had those type things come up right when we were thinking of selling (typical, right?). Love the tile pick. It's going to be awesome! Great work. Merry Christmas!
What a bargain and so pretty tiles! Are you doing a heated floor or too manly to have cold feet?? I was thinking you are so clever to be doing this outside of a relationship with a pretty girl asking when it will be done😉😉🩷🩷 hope all your presents are from DeWalt or Loewes. You are doing so well and we learn more from mistakes than being overconfident by doing it right once. Merry Christmas and an exciting happy new year👏👏👏👏👏🙏🏻🙏🏻🫶
Merry Christmas! 😊🎄 you’re really making progress! I like the tile very much! That’s going to look so nice. I do NOT like what they call “luxury vinyl”. I’ve looked at a lot of homes in the last couple years. They look okay in photos, but not when you show up. These house flippers here have made all these houses look the same. They took old homes and lit thst vinyl plank flooring and painted everything gray. Now they all look like a manufactured home inside and that flooring is not holding up very well. Also modern cabinets and pulls etc. makes no sense to me, but I’m older. That flooring is classic looking. I’ve never been able to afford to be trendy. Usually when I do something it stays.
@@marchingmoto Huh. Yep. I see it now but have no memory of having seen it before. My brain has been weird like that the past few years.lol. Thank you for showing me where to find it. The last I remember was the toilet in the corner (and the debate about head space), the tub on the long wall where the bedroom is on the other side, and that you changed your mind about a longer around the corner countertop for the sink. Anyway, Merry Christmas! May your new year be full of a usable bathroom!
Undecided. Most likely fiberglass but i haven’t looked into it much yet. I have to be careful to not overload my mind thinking about to many steps at a time haha
Mistake are made to be corrected, 😂😂😂 that makes you human, you are young you look like your on your mid 20’s look for some granite tiles or Romblon marble a lot cheeper than Italian marble it adds value to your property… keep goin….
I can't wait to see what you do in other rooms of the house.

Plan for a toilet seat bidet.. Better for septic..and wish I had planned for sooner
Got real lucky with that angle grinder. Friend almost lost his left arm when his grinding wheel popped
