That's what happens when you have a fan vote. The person with the largest audience usually wins. The key for someone else to win is getting people that don't normally watch vtubers to vote for them. With how much Filian has been blowing up, especially with her youtube shorts being so popular, I think she's building a lot of recognition outside of the vtuber fandom.

To be fair, Ironmouse basically dedicates her life to strwaming, because her condition keeps her largely homebound. She does an incredible job, too. If there was anyone Filian was going to lose to, it had to be Ironmouse. And honestly, it doesn't even seem like a loss. You got nominated alongside all three of those incredible streamers. Even being in the running is insane!
Tbf, Ironmouse is almost unbeatable when it comes to VTuber based awards. There are only a few times I’ve seen her lose a category she was nominated for in any awards show. Everyone in the category deserved to win and personally I was rooting for Vedal or Filian but it is what it is. Congrats Mouse 🎉❤

Yeah after she went 3 for 3 at the vtuber awards including vtuber of the year, it really shouldn't have been a surprise that she won best vtuber. She still had a couple big categories she hasn't won in. She was nominated for best just chatting streamer in 2022 and streamer of the year this year and lost both. Hopefully she can get a win outside of the vtuber category next year. Really any tuber winning outside of the vtuber category is huge for the space as a whole.
Ironmouse is great, but I think you deserve it at some point, no one does what you do, she's just more well known I think.
