    Hello from Minnesota! Great to see your progress!

    Hey bud! Great to see it coming along (we met at OSH last year!) I have a MH system for my RV-4, I recently added the Aithre Shield EX 3.0 to it and I am amazed at the integration with the G3x with that little unit. That plus their wireless pressure sensor communicate to put everything on the engine page for your G3X. Wasn't sure if these guys were on your radar or not so I figured I'd share! Keep the great videos coming!

      Cool! We are also considering having it send pressure to the G3X. Undecided at this point but will be investigating further at Sun-n-Fun this year :)

    Thanks for showing this. Interested on seeing the plumbing for everything up front too. Building my -10 near KCID.

      Yup, we're doing videos of each stage of the install. Stay tuned :)

    You can get the best of both worlds by getting one (or a set of 2) larger welding size tanks and a filler hose. Cheap O2 without the hassle of removal and transporting to the scuba shop. Just do your own planeside refills.

    Hey Guil, looks good and should work great. Did you ever consider an oxygen concentrator?

    Great video as always! I'm going to use a Mountain High O2 system in my -14A. Unrelated question - I know you use Akzo primer primarily (as do I), but what did you use in the cockpit area as I noticed it's not Akzo green?

    Was the bracket for the fill port/gauge a custom fabrication or was that a stock part modified to fit the application?

    Quick question not related to the O2 system. Around the 11:15 mark there is an access panel that you have cut in the left rear seat. I have seen people cut access panels in the baggage floor for access to the steps (which it appears you didn’t do, maybe I’m just missing it) but I haven’t seen an access panel in the rear seat before. What is the purpose of cutting that panel?

      Their answer is likely different than mine, but I have a similar panel on the right side where my Garmin AHRS lives. There's a lot of useful space under those seats and covering the access panel with the seats themselves makes a pretty clean installation. I hinged my panel and didn't bother with screws to hold it shut because the seats (and a passenger) will do that just fine.

      I have the bottom COM antenna down there. This lets me get to the coax.

    Hey, are there any concerns about heat with the bottle being mounted in the fuselage? If the aircraft sits outside in the sun for a long time, I'd imagine the interior of the plane gets rather warm... Some internet research says don't keep oxygen bottles in the trunk of your car, I guess the "trunk" of a plane is not much different?

    • @BuildFlyGo
      @BuildFlyGo  Год назад

      The plane is not often outside for very long without being in flowing air. Lives in a hangar when we aren’t flying :)

    • @spitfireinvasion
      @spitfireinvasion Год назад

      @@BuildFlyGo sure I get that, but like if you're ever staying somewhere overnight and the plane is parked outside, is that a concern? I have a portable Mountain high O2D2 bottle and I'm trying to figure out what to do with it when I'm on holidaY somewhere (not at my Homebase) with no hangar and sunshine with hot weather... I guess if it was a problem we'd have planes blowing up on the tarmac all the time?

    • @BuildFlyGo
      @BuildFlyGo  Год назад

      I can't say I've ever heard this being a problem, but give MH a quick call to see what they think. They are super helpful!

      @@BuildFlyGo thanks👍🏽 I actually wrote them a couple mails, and they said leaving the bottle in a shaded area inside the plane would be quote "probably fine", which I find not entirely comforting, but oh well...

    I am just curious as to why you didn't mount the O2 cylinder at the far side of the baggage compartment?

    • @BuildFlyGo
      @BuildFlyGo  2 года назад +2

      Mostly just for space saving. We wanted it out of the way so we could fill the back with bags, etc. It's less convenient for fills this way as I have to remove the baggage bulkheads but we felt it was a good trade-off.

      @@BuildFlyGo I understand. No criticism just curious. I have been following your progress from early on. The quality of your work and the configuration choices you have made are outstanding. Can't wait to see her in the sky. God bless.

      @@BuildFlyGo Great stuff - curious about the weight and CofG implications with putting it back there.
