Heard a lot of buzz about them adapting the vomit scene from the manga. Me, not having read the manga, wondered what all the horror was about. Then I understood.
Sorta kinda love how no matter the dimensions of the baddy. Denji just gotta go full "Shaw" hummin' silksong and after the op plays that certain someone just resides as Chocapi on the floor. Just imagine if There was a non-melee chainsaw boi
The age of consent in Japan is 13 *with certain restrictions that is.* The low age of consent usually means, if a 14 and a 13 y/o have sex, there won't be any legal consequences. If a kid below the age of 13 is involved, there will be consequences at least for the parents for neglecting their obligatory supervision. Adults going after minors will always be persecuted. At least that's how some countries handle a seemingly low age of consent. Putting the age gap aside, Himeno is Denji's superior at work and could easily have him fired if he doesn't comply with her demands - or in this case killed to be exact. Remember: Aki already told Denji in Ep5 that he has no rights and Makima clarified in Ep2 that insubordination means Denji will be disposed off. Abusing your position of power in such a way is already messed up regardless of the other context.
The Japanese word of the day Shichau the root of it is *shite* , it basically means *to do [something] * -chau is the *wanna* suffix the question mark at the end makes it a question P.S.: the age of consent in Japan is 16, but it can range from 14 to 18 on a prefectural basis I believe
Okay for anyone who is genuinely confused/curious, to understand the age of consent in Japan it’s like this: the National Age of Consent is 13 (though there are currently efforts to raise it to 16), but all 47 prefectures of Japan have passed ordinances that make the age of consent 18 (or more specifically ban sexual acts between adults and individuals under the age of 18). So it’s effectively 18 nation-wide. So if Himeno (who’s like at least in her mid 20s if not older) did have sex with Denji, that would be illegal in Japan since every prefecture has those ordinances, and she could be arrested for that. In 2022 the age of adulthood in Japan was lowered from 20 to 18, for things such as being able to make contracts, be selected for jury duty, obtain an individual passport, and vote (though that was already available since 2016), etc. The drinking, smoking, and gambling age in Japan is still 20 though.
when I see reactors cheer on the denji and himeno scene at the end it makes me uncomfortable 😭 because he’s very much underage and was force fed alcohol through a kiss when he asked for water, he doesn’t know where he is, and clearly isn’t in the right state of mind to consent when he can barely move. Himeno being attractive makes it okay to people though and since denji is a guy he isn’t really seen as a victim and I feel like people wont start recognizing that till wayyy later in the story if they ever do

Was not expecting a baby bird feeding scene in this anime
Someone earlier today brought up something I didn't notice, but the eternity devil talks like it specifically has history with Pochita, like saying look how far you've fallen and I knew you were alive. Pochita was dying when denji found him so it makes me wonder
Yea they pointed that out IN the ep friend 😅 and what does that mean? When he found him he was dying? I feel like im missing something 😫
@@cjjackson2423 ?what
as a manga reader i wanna spoil you but i won't lol
@@umerasad3587 Lol I'm on chapter 66 atm so I haven't seen anything yet
@@ILikeCHEEZ9 pochita's backstory is explained in part 2 of chainsaw man
Really digging Spidey's attitude.
It's fun to see the Normies gang expand and I love watching my favorite shows with you all!!!
Well he's been here for awhile so 😅
16:26 probably the hardest ive laughed at a reaction
They used the 3rd ED in the opening fight scene btw.
I was unfortunately eating lunch when I was watching this episode. Let’s just say that it was hard to keep my food in my stomach
Suraj's Kobeni impression was actually spot on and made me weak from laughter.
I've seen a lot of people miss that it was the new Rookie that died, not Kobeni's sibling.
Why respond with "THEY died" though?
Kobeni's sisters are not dead. That other dude's rookies are dead and Kobeni's freaking out because she's also a rookie just different group.
I was wondering wtf she was tripping about idky i always assumed people just knew that already 😅
Man your guy’s reaction to the puke is the most priceless one I’ve watched yet
Chris covering his face with his beanie was a highlight
I like how Rana stopped Suraj from peaking on the manga. Hahaha
There's no getting off Mr. Fujimoto's Wild Ride! The ride never stops!
I guess many people already pointed out but, it doesn’t matter what is age of consent around here, it is uncomfortable to watch for us to, and it must be intended. Story highlights his age too hard before all that happened.
Denji needs a adult lol. The age of consent in Tokyo is 18.
Himeno: I am an adult
@Tenno Yamamoto Yes another tfs fan.
@@taheahshahdaiah6422 i think chainsawman is set in 90's when age of consent was 13
@Hystic Yeah but even then you have to have a parents consent. There is a reason a 13 year old can't go out with a 40 year old. The Japanese consent laws are more detailed than how simple most people think it is.
Aki will do, but idk he's too fixated on killing the gun devil more than taking care of denji's whereabouts lol
You guys missed a line so you thought the 8 sisters died. at the same time they were mentioned, himeno asked the dude why his partner wasnt at the table, and he replied that they died last week. the "they" wasnt the 8 sisters, but that dudes partner
No fck that the subtitles missed the part where that doesn't make sense 😭 why didn't he say "HE died" then "They" makes it seem like more than 1 person. Only thing that was said before hand that would make it make sense was the sister thing.
when you wanna forget it, and then the outro remind it lmaoo
16:50 I can confirm lol. they do eat up their barf if the food is tasty enough!
"How does eternity know the chainsaw devil" It's such a good catch. We still don't know but there are theories.
on the ED i heared "i love you, no question/problem(cantonese), get-get-get barf kiss!"
best ED yet, chef's (first) kiss!
My girl Himeno has no shame lol. Also, I thought I recognized her master's voice from another anime! Love his voice
11:57 yayyy he noticed it, LMFAOOOOO that was slick af.
The ending song is a pun... it literally means "barf kiss"
the intro was so scuffed i love it LMAO
Heard a lot of buzz about them adapting the vomit scene from the manga. Me, not having read the manga, wondered what all the horror was about. Then I understood.
Tsuda Kenjirou's voice did some crazy Seismic activity in my brain
In the Outro the Songtext also was normal, but at the half it was just
„Puke kiss
Pukekisssss
Puuuuukeeekiss“
And so on
13:00 There's a meme in the fandom that Kobeni's secret devil is the Sloppy BJ Devil.
Hence why she never uses it.
my bro denji is a whole victim someone pls save him fr
I died over and over again watching and rewatching and rewatching their freak out
Kobeni's sisters aren't dead, that was the guy's recruits (there were 2 conversations going on at the same time)
For the age comparison:
Makima is in her late 20s or early 30s
Himeno is 23-25
Aki is 19-20
Denji is 16
It has never confirmed, all headcanon except denji and kobeni. Fujimoto isn't the type to bother assigning age to his characters
@@alfanscholz8663 because hes based let's sex
Wait did they confirm they hired an outside animator for the food/slice of life stuff? Because literally all the drinks and food look so freaking good
In the beginning when it looks like denji was eaten by the devil you can see that one of his arms was bitten off, that’s what the blood was
I love how Rana is the Meg of the show😂😂😂
20:05 Randy Marsh will remember that, remember that there's no carrete if someone doesn't puke on a dense newbie
So I have to admit. Saying kisses taste like stars is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. If it's not in a song it should be.
I don’t know if it’s still this way, but when I was in Japan from about 2008-2012, smoking in restaurants was very legal in Japan.
this was easily the best animated kissing scene in any show😅
This is why I love chainsaw man, pure chaos and funny shit XD
Sorta kinda love how no matter the dimensions of the baddy. Denji just gotta go full "Shaw" hummin' silksong and after the op plays that certain someone just resides as Chocapi on the floor. Just imagine if There was a non-melee chainsaw boi
Sometimes I forget the Normies share half a braincell, the way they interpret scenes or just completely miss or or forget information
Who says "THEY" when asked about 1 person? That makes no sense 😭
Everyone:"what the dog doing?" 😳 😳
Rest in Peace to whoever was eating during that scene 🫡
Suraj mentioning Philip Defranco puts a smile on my face
The age of consent in Japan is 13
*with certain restrictions that is.*
The low age of consent usually means, if a 14 and a 13 y/o have sex, there won't be any legal consequences.
"Someone owes him a kiss" "I hope he will tell us what it tastes like", oh, you will get to know alright
The Japanese word of the day
Shichau
the root of it is *shite* , it basically means *to do [something] *
-chau is the *wanna* suffix
the question mark at the end makes it a question
P.S.: the age of consent in Japan is 16, but it can range from 14 to 18 on a prefectural basis I believe
Denji: I'm Denji. Tastes like barf.
I love how they reused the Maximum to the hormone ED in this ep
Best ed for me. Love that 90 OVA vibe.
The moment we all came here for 16:07
Okay for anyone who is genuinely confused/curious, to understand the age of consent in Japan it’s like this: the National Age of Consent is 13 (though there are currently efforts to raise it to 16), but all 47 prefectures of Japan have passed ordinances that make the age of consent 18 (or more specifically ban sexual acts between adults and individuals under the age of 18).
Im so glad I wasn't the only one who suffered through that scene
17:11 Feel ya bro, we all watched Supercool
I wanted to see their reaction to the kiss scene. That was hilariously worth it
The barf kiss is the first taste of the craziness in this anime
when I see reactors cheer on the denji and himeno scene at the end it makes me uncomfortable 😭 because he’s very much underage and was force fed alcohol through a kiss when he asked for water, he doesn’t know where he is, and clearly isn’t in the right state of mind to consent when he can barely move. Himeno being attractive makes it okay to people though and since denji is a guy he isn’t really seen as a victim and I feel like people wont start recognizing that till wayyy later in the story if they ever do
thank you!!!!! so annoyin i swear
Mmm pretty sure that was juice or water. And probably the vomit made him sick
