I just got done watching your other video from last week I could definitely relate to the frustration. It looks like your not having as hard of a time as you were then. Have things gotten any better since then?
The machines are better now with FDR’s hotfix much more enjoyable. I was going to talk about it in this video but decided to just do a Timelapse instead. Logging on flat ground helps as well. I still have issue with logging at 17 - 30 fps in a lot of this video but machines wise it’s better
Usually yes, usually they’ll cut the boundary and then place the trees so the butts are all laying towards where their processing so the skidder can drag the skids faster. It’s quite an efficient system.
@@thomasschwarte8203 some are but the blocks get planted again after. I do believe your supposed to leave a few trees but usually once the stand is taken down any tree left will fall over anyway due to wind. And it’s also inconvenient to skid around. We’re not like Europe where we have small patches of trees we have so many trees that this isn’t an issue thousands of miles of untouched timber wildfires burn them all up as well if they aren’t taken.
@@WikkyPlays oh right I forgot how vast North America, I assume, is compared to Europe. Thank you for making this clearer! Like your videos a lot btw keep it going

@WikkyPlays I feel like its a bit unproductive in the long term, like the small trees could be left to grow
