Really good thing I use is dragging and dropping a track you like in the style into your project and seeing where the drops are and where the different elements come in and out and literally copy the layout, maybe tweaking a few bits

This video got released earlier (dec 2022) the song you're referring to (march 30th 2023) So the artist probably got inspiration from this video. More like he copied Julien, the songs are identical.

I had the same problem but I noticed, in the Operator, the 4 coloured boxes left of Time/Tone/Volume should be horizontal instead of vertical. I don't know what this does but it fixed it for me. Hope this helps!
@@mrsmurfey123 Thats FM synthesis, with the horizontal mode there is no fm happening therefor all the oscillators produce a sound individual of eachother instead of influencing the sound of one another

I transposed down -24 on the pitch and seems to work
