Go plus play sounds similar with the original track in terms of soundstage but still the bass is over saturated and is V shaped. Onyx studio 9 does not sound really good. It can not separate sounds well and sounds a bit compressed compared to the original track.
Leaving the bass at level 1 and increasing the mids and treble to level 3 the bass is not saturated, so for those who want to listen to music in a more "flat" style like on professional speakers, the Go Play 3 can also do it, of course it will not have the same quality as two studio speakers 😅
Go+Play at least sounds correct although boosted, studio 9 is a kitchen radio with sub. I think that you should always include the original track, at least in begging and maby end of every song in the test... Can you compare Uboom X in studio mode with Go+Play 3 and again with original track? 👀
@@lukabosnjak3829 Yeah the idea of adding an original track at the end might be quite interesting, then anyone with any headphones could listen to my recordings and it should be still representive
@@DominikReviews Exactly, no matter the listening listening equipment, one will always be able to tell at least how far the speaker is from the original song.
@@LukeR1M For me the real problem is his recordings, they do not show how speakers sound in reality, in his recordings go play 3 sounds almost like original track and has more than enough mids, and that does not happen in the real world

@@lukabosnjak3829 Alan Ross recordings are not horrible, but are not great either, i'm still not getting the point that he has for recording speakers in a extremely treated room. Mine has minimal treatement to reduce reverb and echo and for most of the time barely anyone cares about treatment so speakers in his room will sound different than in real world listening in an normal untreated or barely treated room. So in my room i'm still getting an in-room response, a response that everyone will get, and i'm not quite sure if he gets it too

Harman could easily make it sound more true to the track in terms of bass, but bass is part of their sound signature. All of their speakers are known for impressive bass for their sizes/designs. And it’s also the audience they’re catering too. They’re not catering to professionals, but casual buyers and they know casual buyers won’t care much for EXACT reproduction. I love the bass, it’s extremely powerful and literally shakes the room.
Listening trough my Xtreme 3 with custom eq (i m not home and the only headphones i have are crusher evos at the moment) The go play is leaps more accurate, Will Test with the Sennys Later

Wow Knaller 😮 du bist glaube ich der erste der sowas macht 😊 weiter so
Go Play 3 for sure. The 9 sounds a mess. But I am listening through my Ult 7 so maybe not accurate.
listen with headphones not on a speaker that is colored as hell!

@Mr.T359 yeah studio 9 sounds compressed, a good phrase to conclude it 👌😆

Alan Ross has been doing comparisons vs original track years ago in his reviews. It's a bit of a bummer he is not doing it anymore.

Go play still more pleasant to listen, definitely not a hifi like sounding speakers. The bass is just way off.
Yes but it is close
