Also watching this video it seems like this is a Truman Show easter egg! the steps look similar to the steps at the end of the movie so maybe its a way of saying that the map is 'fake' (which i mean it is but) and is being monitored
The room in Tuscany was still being made when you discovered it... It is a reference to a movie called The Truman Show. There is now in this latest update a developer card on top of a statue next to some Tuscany background houses. If you take that card to that hidden invisible door, insert the card into a key card slot on the door. Then you can go in it.. Inside you will find two collectibles. A M1Garand and something else I can't remember what it was.
This is probably a reference to “The Truman Show.” The entrance to the facility looks like the exit of the dome Truman was in, and the overview of the map from above looks like the control room in the movie.
It's a refrence to the film "The truman show". At the end of the film, you can se Truman get out of his simulated world by walking through a door elevated by a few steps, just like the one you showed here.
It might have been a scrapped level because the E-HG Blaster is already a collectible in Tunnel Tipper, or it could have been put there for testing the collectible spots and the E-HG Blaster was the gun they chose. But I don't think they would have the E-HG Blaster made by the the time they started making this level.

yes and no. theres an unfinished easter egg in another map, where bringing an employee card up to a locked door causes the card to fall out of your hand and become unable to be interacted with. this implies they were partway through making the script to take the card out of your hand and animate the door lock accepting the card, but didnt finish. - devs stated this particular interaction, and more like it, is slated to be finished in an update.
Things to note: you can press b/y to toggle noclip with the nimbus gun The door Easter egg was in boneworks but you couldn't go through I think this is something to come in a future update it seems unfinished but like it was meant to be found at the same time

For anyone curious, I'm 90% sure this was doe testing textures and shaders, as Dekogon is actually an asset/model making industry that's worked with many other flat-screen and vr games in the past, including half life alyx, robo recall, and many others, and while I could find Stress Level Zero in their page, I'm assuming that is why the textures may be unusually detailed in some areas
There is also a weird entrance looking area at the back of the bowling room, I haven't tried to get in since I'm still on my first playthrough but I found it weird that it was there.
I saw someone find the locked card-reader door in the mine dive level, just left of the start of the ride, they couldnt find the right keycard (holographic dev card) to open it and neither could i, but a bit of bugging out with two nimbus guns did the trick. there's another door through that hallway that leads to a secret room pertaining to the lore. you can also get to it via nimbus bug through the slanted window above the ride start. check it out!

It's a gruesome, unnecessary ending and was often hated by the critics of the day, but it's loved now because it's a perfect thematic ending to the movie and perfectly encapsulates all of its' themes.

fun fact to enter the door you need a key card on top a statue and on the side of the door is a red dot put the key card there and you can enter and open the metal door this is not a joke it's real (search up how to get the skeleton NPC it will show you how to do it and it will be more simpler than I said it) and bonelab has a lot of secret places in bonelab that need key card or something else btw I don't know but the place you where in did not look like the one in the real game but I might have forgot

Actually there is a keycard on top of the statue of the guy with a crablet on his head you need to enter the keycard in the side of the door to unlock it all
I’m pretty sure there’s another sort of secret room in the mine mini game (I forgot what it’s called) in the back right of the warehouse there should be a sign that says wishing well lift and it’s a door too a well I couldn’t do anything else there though

Nimbus has a noclip mode, you know. I think it's the same button you use to open the self menu. (inventory, settings, etc.)
