This is common Japanese greeting when meeting for first time. よろしくおねがいします. I agree it's a very nice sentiment.
Yeah it is pretty common in a few settings. it’s like the same feeling as “let’s do this” and “thank you” at the same. And I assume from the staff standpoint it’s more kind of like “I’m gonna take care of you now thanks for choosing us” and the customer stand point it’s like “please do this favor for me”.
Lot of feeling packed into one phrase isn’t it???? But I doubt native speaker think about all that when they say it because… the meaning is conveyed with the saying already lol But as a non-native speaker it’s interesting to think about the nuances.
Yes, Japanese is a ceremonial language. But I think in our normal European equivalent will be : "Thank you for choosing us" and "I am looking forward to your service"
As a Realtor, I love this concept. Because I work very hard for my clients but it also makes my job pleasant when I feel like they are also working being nice, respectful and loyal to me.
@@vikkumari yep! its very common (and respectful) to say it after introducing yourself to someone, or a group of people. it's (kind of) similar to "nice to meet you" but it's basically as the subs say "please take care of me"!

The reason why I enjoyed this video so much is not only because of Nishio's soothing voice which of course is wonderful, but because she actually speaks throughout the treatment! As much as I enjoy "sounds ASMR" I need the speaking aspect too to really feel the tingles. Nishio's voice is truly amazing and I appreciate all the insightful explanations she gives. Memrise is used by people in japan learning Japanese. Also, Renshuu, and for kanji, wanikani. Memrise is paid, and it’s worth it, highly recommended.

Usually an acupuncturist provides TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) services and Gua sha is one of their specialties. Hopefully there is one in your area.

Frankincense is such an awesome fragrance! 🤪🥰 I always love it in Christmas soaps. If anyone ever goes to the markets in Dubai, getting real frankincense and myrrh chunks to bring back as souvenirs (おみやげ) is a great gift. 👍🏻🎁 I always buy a little porcelain container with a lid or something heavier like Polish pottery and put the chunks in there.
