I am commenting before you finish the reading for group 4. The person or persons that are taking over the reading are my sons. My oldest is going through a divorce. Gosh darn it, I don't know why the universe does this to me. I get stomped on and have the world's worst day thinking maybe this is it, maybe I'm supposed give up now end it, do I have the guts? Pile 3: when you said father I literally got goosebumps because literally today I told my dad that I want to get a matching tattoo with him. I have wanted one for a long time and he was really touched that I wanted my first tattoo with him. He has been struggling with thinking that I don’t love him because he moved a couple hours away a few years ago. I am 16 about to turn 17 and so I am under age and would have to do it with parent permission. Sometimes he really believes I hate him, but honestly it’s quite the opposite. I am such a daddy’s girl. I always have been we just became distant lately mainly because of the emotional trama I was given from his ex-wife. When he met her and she became a part of my life I became very distant and was as open with him or anyone really. This broke his heart because we used to be super close . I became very socially anxious and just reserved from her. I don’t like blanking people for my mental state, but she really messed me up. I hated her the whole time they were together and I didn’t understand why until my dad left her. She would constantly mentally abuse me and tell me that I was lazy, I never did anything right, I was “nagging” her when I just asked if I could make a bowl of cereal or go for a walk, and she never used nagging in the right way. She also would constantly tell me to go to my room and say she didn’t want to see me for the rest of the day when I had done nothing and then she would yell at me for being in my room all the time. Sh manipulated me because I have a big heart and struggle to say no and she would ask me to do a lot of things that she knew I wouldn’t want to do and she knew I would say yes because I feel bad for saying no. She would pay her kids, who never did their chores, allowance, but she would never pay me allowance. And I did all of my chores everyday. She would have all 3 of us kids do yard work on HER garden and she would let her kids take a break or stop early, but if I stopped she would make me do more chores. Also she never took care of her garden. She would make us spend hours prepare if it so she could plant things and she never would. And if there were things planted it was because she forced us to plant them. She would also blame us kids if those plants died. She had a 4 bedroom house and her 2 kids had rooms downstairs and her room and her office were upstairs. When me and my dad, and my brother moved in she made me share a room, which I understand cause at the time she was using her office. My brother ended up leaving cause he was tired of the way she treated him and he moved back in with my mom. After that I noticed she never used her office anymore so I asked her if I could put my bed in there because it was a pretty big room, so I could have my own room. I wasn’t asking her to get rid of any of her stuff in there I just wanted to sleep in my own space because her daughter would stay up late sometimes and it was hard for me to sleep, and vice versa I did the same thing and she couldn’t sleep, so it would have been better for both of us. She refused even though she literally ever used that room. She would take my phone and tablet all the time for absolutely no reasoning, which I know sounds like a spoiled brat thing to say, but first off she didn’t pay for either of them so she didn’t have the right, and second she would take it for literally no reason like I would be at school and leave my tablet on my bed and she would just take it and lock it in a drawer and she would say I could get it back if I did more chores and contributed more. She would constantly drink and smoke and I would ask her not to around me because I don’t like the smell of smoke at all and I have weak lungs and I struggle to breathe when she does plus you know second hand smoking can cause cancer. She was the reason my dad started drinking and smoking again when he had been sober for basically my whole life. Also if I ever stood up for myself she would yell at my dad for raising a failures of a daughter and would force him to talk to me to “straighten up.” Another thing when my dad first decided to move in with her it was because our house was being foreclosed. We were supposed to go to the house to pick up my stuff and we had like a month to do so. She was supposed to take me after school but she never did and my dad worked late so he didn’t have to time to. I ended up losing all of my stuff including some extremely sentimental items. Like things my grandpa had given me right before he passed away. And those are the types of thongs I will never get back that meant a lot to me. Like me dogs ashes. And a bell my grandpa gave me before he passed away. He had lung cancer so he knew his time was soon, he had those like scooter chair things and that’s what the bell was on. When I was little, when my mom and dad first divorced my mom lived with my grandma and grandpa and my elementary school was right behind there house and my grandpa would pick me and my siblings up from school on his scooter. One of us would be on his lap and the other 2 would ride on the back on this little bar. I was the youngest so I was usually on his lap and he had that bell on it and he would always let me ring it as we rode down the street. So that bell meant so much to me. I did get my princess bedding which my grandpa had gotten me for like my 3rd birthday, but then when my dad divorced his ex she took it and didn’t let me have it back. I could keep going but I kind of got off topic. Any who so she made me never want to leave my room which is something I still struggle with. She made me anxious in social situations because she would discriminate me and basically call me a waste of oxygen. I still struggle with this as well. Anywho a little of topic again. This drove me away from my dad because I always locked myself in my room to avoid her. And after he left her because she was a psycho...I won’t go into those details...he had to move 2 hours away for work. So now I rarely see him and we have been driven even further away. I hope that if I get this tattoo with him we will become closer again because I really miss what it was like before her. Let me add that I don’t blame my dad for putting me in that situation at all. She treated me completely differently when he was around, so he had no idea what was going on behind the scenes. He still doesn’t understand or know all the things she put me through. Honestly I forget most of it to but the emotional trama is still there. I honestly didn’t remember most of the stuff she did until I started typing and it just came rushing back like a flood. I also don’t blame my dad for moving away. He had to make money and there wasn’t a lot of work where I live and he didn’t want to take me out of school because he has had to do that to me to many times in the past. I hope I get a chance to fix my relationship with my dad and I hope we can go back to how it used to be before his ex. I honestly miss those times.
