    Smoothest jumper of all time 🔥 best shooting form of all time because how he doesn’t fully extend his arms but still gets the shot off with a defender close up on him.

    This is a really great series. Interviewing while on the practice court makes a big difference with these guys as you get to see Melo break his game down. Gotta be honest, wish the presenter was a bit more enthusiastic and lively in general, but this is quality.

    Iv watched him my entire life.. had been my favorite player since he was drafted. He always seemed to showcase his release in the olympics where it looked like he was just throwing it up as fast as he could and he would be raining 3s all day.
    Also, I can’t stop laughing at him pulling that ball back over my mans head like that 😂

    Smoothest jumper in NBA history. Melo doesn't get enough respect for his genius scoring ability. Hats off to the legend that is Carmelo Anthony.

  • @kaibalfour2318
    @kaibalfour2318 Год назад

    What I love about Carmelo is that he’s probably the most fundamentally sound scorer I’ve ever seen. The average NBA player has to rely on speed and agility to break down a defender which causes a lot of them to sometimes be out of control and cause turnovers. Carmelo is always in control. Doesn’t matter who’s guarding him wether their stronger, quicker or taller. He plays them all the same and most of the time he barely has to dribble to create space. What Melo had that very few players ever get is mental quickness. Thats something all the greatest scorers have but usually they also have speed, agility and handles to go with it. Melo’s ball handling was good but he never had to use it. He relied almost solely on fundamentals and mental quickness to break down defenders. Attacking your defender when they least expect it, keeping them off balance with simple jabsteps and head fakes, changing your pace and just being unpredictable makes you a dangerous player. If you can create space with out dribbling it automatically makes you harder to guard even if your a slower player. If your already a gifted athlete who masters mental quickness then you’ll be ungaurdable

    I never liked Melo as a player personally (I always thought he took too many shots and didn't buy into being a part of a team), BUT I heavily respect him and his game. There is no doubt that Melo is an offensive juggernaut. A sniper from 3, a master in the post, and has some of the most fluid game I've seen in a basketball player. Any team would be lucky to have Melo as a coach or trainer.

    i just played a couple 1v1s yesterday against a bigger dude, melo talking about havin to fade away on every shot coz otherwise it would get blocked when he was younger and his release was slower, its something i experienced during that 1v1 - the dude could play a little defence and he was like 3 inches taller so i had to fade everytime if i just wanted to take a straight up shot. Doin the melo drill every day from today lol thanks melo, this video is goated

    One of my favorite offensive players of all time. His style is so smooth and almost effortless on the offensive end. I think what hindered him was his lack of efficiency as his career progressed. He was a high volume shooter in his prime who could get any shot he wanted, but it never fully translated to a championship level. But still a legend in my book. In his first ten years in the league, he was almost impossible to defend.
