Overhead cross court smash is Chou Tian Chen’s special attack. It’s deceptive since his movement looks like he’s going to hit a straight smash. This shot is very effective to LinDan because LD’s game heavily depends on controlling the pace and anticipating his opponents’ shot (after 2014). When Chou played this unexpected cross smash, it breaks LinDan balance because LinDan was actually expecting a straight smash on his backhand side. You can also see Chou won lots of points against LinDan by using this smash in 2019 Malaysia and Indonesia open.

Lin Dan will lose because his stamina is already weaker than before. If this is the top of Lin Dan, Chou Tien Chen seems like accompany training with Lin Dan .Have you see top of Lin Dan? How strong, fast and skillful of he is .U think that this can fake Lin Dan? Minimum that Chou Tien Chien need to win Momota or Axelsen before you have the ability to play against Lin Dan.
