- A get away holiday to Taiwan with a group of Singaporeans, who were colleagues working in the same company. Together, they traveled to many destinations and experience the food and excitement along the way. This trip covers the northern half of taiwan where they travel to Taipei, Taichung, Puli, Lushan, Cingjing, Chiayi, Alishan, Jiufen, Shifen, Jinguashi and back to Taipei.

Taiwan is such a beautiful country! I lived there for a year as an exchange student and I miss it every single day of my life. I'd give anything to go back to this country which is now, my second home. 我愛你台灣
came to taiwan on a whim after living in china for a year... ten years later i'm still here!! it's truly a wonderful place!
Taiwan is number one! Great food and lots of lovely things to do. I like my scooter.
BRAVO. This was a lot to pull together and annotate and is marvelous as an introduction to so many of the truly wonderful experiences available in Taiwan. This is a generous gift. I lived there from 69 to 71 and have just returned from a ten day visit to Tunghai, Taipei, Taroko and many other spots. So many wonderful changes in so many years, and yet the warmth of the hospitable and friendly people of Taiwan, and the natural beauty, remain constant. .

Lived in Taichung when I was stationed at the nearby CCK Air Base in the late 60s. Visited many places that you showed but not all. Have been thinking of going back for a visit and your video has encouraged me even more. Thanks for the memories
very nice place to visit, my wife and I were in Taiwan back in August for 12 nights- finally got her on a motorcycle to see many great sites, Kenting, Ilan- Suao cold springs, forestry park, bubble tea museum, crayon factory, traditional arts center, and in Hualian an Aboriginal center as well. -it was her third trip to Taiwan.
Wonderful video and trip, so much accomplished in less than 2 weeks.

Well i went to Taiwan and i went to a few ONLY a few of these places. It was AMAZING! I can't wait to go back! I have enough Asia miles from travelling to HK and Taiwan and back to Canada to get a free flight to Taipei again. You can sure bet i'll be going. I stayed at Tango in Taipei it was a really great hotel amazing experience. Rahoe Night Market was SO COOL. Did the train tour of Pingxi as well Oh man that was a experience! My fiancée and I ♥ you Taiwan thanks for the memories!
thank you for putting this up, we are in the process of creating our own Taiwan Trip this summer (we were there for 17 days about 5 years ago, and I lived there 90-93 a long time ago. After eating at Ramen Tat-su-ya in Austin I think we will make it a beef noodle soup trip all around, with some other foods at times to balance out our trip.
We had a nice trip- spent two nights out in Fulong on the Pacific Coast- we ended up taking the slow train, which is nice and scenic- but does make the trip about an hour and 20 minutes- the difference is it stops at all the little towns. (not that Fulong is that large, just in comparison).
Visited many different areas around Taipei on this trip- Next trip when it's just my wife and I we will get a motorcycle and run it around many more of the scenic areas.
Absolutely beautiful, I will go there next month.

I am sure you will love it. I went and I am going back to spend more time with her family in another month. I love it in Taiwan and I might move there in the future if I can learn enough manderan to get a good job. only time will tell. The people there are so very nice and I love how interested the younger people are in meeting me. If they are not shy they will always say hello just to practice english.

Looks like it rained for a while there, I went back to Taiwan back in winter 2012 and it just wouldn't stop raining kind of annoying but the food and attractions are great. I wish I could go back.

Very nicely videographed, and excellent editing. How much time did you spend editing? How long was the trip? We will be going to Taiwan to do a round the island tour at the end of January, 2015. It seems the weather was often raining. Good job!
We had spent 10 days in Taiwan. I think it took me about 2 weeks to develop this video. Taiwan does rain quite often. You can checkout their weather rainfall history by month to get a better idea.

Taiwan can rain alot, especially in the north. Central and South parts of Taiwan doesn't really rain as often and gets hit by typhoon less often.
Summer is hot and humid, and winter is rainy and cold up north. Plan your trip in accordance with the season and location you want to visit will make it less likely for weather to ruin your traveling schedule.

HI, when we are at Fengjia Market at Taichung, we randomly hire a cab near by and he is Taxi Driver 1 as shown in video. He told me the destinations we are heading to and he gave us some options and quotations. In the end, we buy in his services to Alishan.
We found Taxi Driver 2 from blogger's recommendations. We sent e-mails to him and arranged for the trip from Alishan to Jiufen. The 3rd Taxi Driver happened to be his brother as Taxi Driver 2 was not available.

Depends whether ya wanna cover more places or have a more relaxing trip.
7 days is enough to cover Taiwan and 1 or 2 cities along the way.
I will definitely consider those options such as Hualien.

Haha, I am lucky to still be in good shape after all the delicacies. Some places such as Cingjing, Alishan... it is easier to hire a cab to bring you around. It saves you the trouble of transiting time and public bus schedules. Good if you are travelling in a group of 3-5 as you can keep the cab cost low.

Nonetheless, 7 days allows you to travel a little further to near by states.
