Dawson Precision Baby Desert Eagle fiber optic front sight was a direct fit for me. Lok grips made for Tanfo small frame/short are a perfect fit also. All of the internals are a direct fit for Tanfo small frame. I put a Tanfo Xtreme flat trigger, sear & Delta hammer in mine as well as Galloway reduced power spring kit and it's a 1 3/4 lb, 90 degree break with very short reset. I'm still in it for under $800 and love it.

I got the K12 a couple of months ago and I love it. I did replace the front sight with a Dawson Precision fiber optic and put the Galloway trigger springs in. As for the grips, I thought they would feel weird but I like them. They make the gun feel slim compared to my EAA Witness Elite Match. And since it's only a little 9mm (as opposed to the .40 S&W and 10mm) of my EAA Witness Elite Match guns, it's doesn't feel like it going to slip around any in my hand. Overall I really like the K12 and look forward to many happy years of shooting it.
@@diablodamien1475, Without putting it on a ranson rest, I would say that it will shoot better than I can. My girlfriend was easily able to hit a 4 inch target at 10 yards with cheap FMJ ammo.
@@desertdwellers7294 agreed the feel was good for a double stack mag. smaller than the Beretta 92 that i picked up minutes after the K12 and i have small hands.
I bought the K12 Sport X Duty version. All the same except it doesn't have the magwell. Which is great as it will accept the CZ 75 SP01 mags. I agree, the trigger isn't the best but for the cost & a little extra it can compete with the higher end pistols.
Saw a couple of these in my local shop a couple of months ago. Went back the next day and they were gone. If I see another one I’m snagging it immediately!
I bought mine almost one month ago. Accuracy was awful with 115 grain bullets; 5 inch groups at 21 yards from sand bags. Seriously thought about sending it back. Then I tried 124 grain bullets and accuracy improved greatly. Possibly shooting it helped as it began to break in. Now I average 90% or better hits on an 8 inch steel plate at 23 yards using two hands. At my age I don't think that's too bad. I would like Honest Outlaw to do a 1,000 round report. BTW, my rear sight has windage adjustment via a screw.
I have this gun, all the internals are Tanfoglio compatible. I polished all the internals and installed a Galloway Presision spring kit. The spring kit lowered the trigger pull but the reset still suck. Front sight is not compatible with CZ you need to go to Dawson Presision and get a fiber optic sight for a Baby Desert Eagle with a little bit of fitting it will work. Magazines, CZ magazines works if you modify the base plate. I use CZ magazines with +5 extensions from Taylor Freelance they work great. LOK Grips has grips that fit this gun. @Dogma Slayer I have a 75b and love it, but the slide stop is too far to reach without changing grip at least for me. I think that’s fixed on the newer models so that’s one advantage if all other things are the same
Burt, i bought the Shadow2 first, then found the K12Sport. I can tell you the K12 is very similar to a Tanfoglio Stock2. These pistols are hand fitted, and built so they are slightly different from one to another. The Shadow 2 is a better all around. BUT, when I shot the K12 it feels like it has a personality. Never jams, and always works, just like the Shadow2. The magazines are cz75 mags. The issue is the magwell, the baseplates have to be narrow to fit in the k12. Changing the sights are a little issue. The rear is fully adjustable, but the front is all black, and is a specialty size. The front sight is the same spec as the baby desert Eagle. The trigger is the same as a Tanfoglio, so you won’t have that smooth shadow pull, instead you have more of a stacking trigger as it gets close to the break. The K12 sport goes for $700-$900.00 if you can find them. Also, the shadow isn’t drop safe, and the k12 is, if that makes a difference. Interesting point , the magazines do not seem to be interchangeable with CZ mags as the CZ mags will lock in, but not lock the slide when empty while the K12 mage seem to work fine in either gun. MEC-Gar mags work fine in the CZ but won't even lock into the K12.
This is surprising, I got a SAR B6C and the full sized B6 for myself and they're really good, Lazer been accurate. The fill sized will talk 17 round CZ shadow mags if you mod the base plate. The grip on the SAR B6 is a little longer than a CZ 75

Swapped out the sights for a plate and a Fastfire3. With a magwell it is a great entry level Open Division gun for USPSA. Take the magwell off and it shoots in the Carry Optics Division of USPSA. Galloway makes a spring kit for it.
I bought one of those about a year ago and for the price its a great shooter. I have 6 Sar USA products and they are all great. Big Daddy Unlimited has the K12 Sport for like $630 ish
Cz75b 17 round mags with a aluminum Base plate fit Great 👍. Trigger action can use work but that's available now. You can also adjust the trigger it has two adjustments.
Ah the K12 sport , I got one of these about a year ago and had nothing but issues . First 50 rounds the rear elevation screw fell out . After 150 if you look at the right side safety lever there is a little roll pin (well mine fell out along with the safety switch itself) and 250 rounds the mags started to fit so loosely that I was having FTF issues . The pistol overall performed well just bad quality control from the manufacturer, and the customer support was almost non existent. I was able to replace a majority of the parts with misc Tanfoglio replacements.. fixed the rear sight with a fiber LPA cut ( i dont remember what model) and the front sight was replaced with Dawson fiber. I used a CGW R-TRS and made the trigger a tad better . By the time I had it where I wanted and reliable I could have purchased a Shadow 2 SAO or a TS2 . Good starter pistol for target but inevitably sold it with no regrets . I hope you have better luck than I did !
A couple of years ago I bought a CZ clone from Tri Star. Shot ok but it wasn't the same. Gave it to my son in law. He likes it and he doesn't ask to use my 75B so win for me.
Yessuh that's the same shot place the k12 I ran recently had a terrible trigger an I couldn't get outta the bravo,Charlie party unless I would of made adjustments. But this being my boss man truck gun no need. 3 feet,3shots,3seconds. It's a great contender with the other single action 9pound trigger. I didn't check it but it was rougg
Just got one. I dont know what they were thinking with the rear sight, but its elevation screw is loose. It needs some loctite to keep the sight from losing zero. Also it does have a windage screw, maybe you found that since making the video but you missed it in the video. Also you can adjust the post travel screw on the trigger to get the reset down. Its more similar to a tanfoglio than a TS, but its trigger is like a CZ75B's. Also it will fit CZ mags if they are long enough try the mec-gar 19 rounders.
Just got k12 and a week later this video thanks. I have different sights Fiber optic front black rear . Maybe 3 1/2 Is trigger pull don't know what all has been done to it good price at 399 don't think i went wrong. Also have sar cm9 never had any failures
I really like the look of this pistol. I have a SAR K245 full size which is a clone of the CZ97 and it is smooth as butter so I can't complain. I bet this one does too
These are Tanfoglio clones more than they are CZ clones. A clone of a clone. This looks like it's basically a SAO Tanfoglio Stock 2. @2:58 you're literally putting your finger on the windage adjustment screw. No need to tap the whole sight over.
I got 3 SAR B6 full size lightweight 9’s 17+1 for the price you paid. EDC always carry 1-QA for home and 1-For work. Accurate and they accept conversion kits 41AE and .22lR
My only complaint, was the black front sight. A quick spring change, front sight change, and extended firing pin made it great. It's more of a budget Tanfoglio limited custom/Stock 2, just based off internals. I also added a black rocker-style safety, similar to what's on a Tanfo limited custom. May add a Nitro Fin, but still deciding. Edit: The K12 is compatible with CZ 75 mags.. It's the angle of the magwell, that keeps CZ factory base pads from fitting.
@@comacoda I wouldn't say majorly. I only had to remove about 4 thousandths from the bottom of the dovetail. I used 400 grit sandpaper with oil, until it was really close. Then finished with 800, and 1,000 grit to keep it tight, but install smoothly. File's faster, but just sanding on a flat surface gives a better overall fit. I used oil to keep the metal cool, without possible rust from wet sanding with water. Wiped it completely dry before installing, then a small dab of red 271 loctite, after getting it half way on.
@@comacoda It took a lot of digging. I couldn't find anything online about it, and happened to see a local shop with a Baby Eagle right beside a K12, which is when I noticed how similar the sight cuts were.
I had one a year or so ago. CGW trigger helped a lot. Good luck with the sights. I got a Dawson sight for the Baby Eagle and filed it down until the lettering on the bottom was gone and it would fit the dove tail. Hopefully, there is a better option now.
Damn solid review. Its said "Sar-sull--ma's"....One of the guys in my sarsilmaz group is from Turkey and educated us lol. I had a k2 .45 and now have a cm9 gen 2. Gotta say, I've had good luck with sar arms guns, but both the ones i have/had the fully adjustable rear sights.
I had a chance to mess with that pistol a few months ago in my local shop. It felt cool, I liked the CZ-75-iness that it had, but the grips were definitely odd. Good checkering on the front and back of the grip, but you are right, the sights needed help.

I believe my original post was deleted. Probably because I had links in it. This is actually a great gun. I love mine. The rear sight does suck and will need to be replaced though. You can replace it with an EAA Super Sight cut. There is also a set screw in the trigger that helps with the long reset. It can use the cz 75 mags but the base needs to be replaced with one that fits the magwell. Henning makes some good ones. LOK makes some good grips too. I believe that you have to select Tanfoglio and then small frame and short length. Lastly Gallow Precision makes a nice spring set. My trigger is right below 2#. Hope that helps if anyone is interested in this gun.
@ Honest Outlaw. I have one and I put the Galloway spring kit in it and that helped the trigger a ton. I have LOk grips on mine I kept the mag well for now. I absolutely hate the sites. If you find a replacement please let me now what it is. I bought this cuz is was way cheaper than the Shadow 2 so it is a fun shooter just need better sights.
Just acquired a K12 Sport X. Also had the spring kit installed and lok grips. Waiting for the front sight to come in. Ill let you know but I'm thinking it will be similar to what you get with a Hayes Rock Island lol.
Sometimes (6:00) when Mrs. Outlaw is out in front of your muzzle it makes my inner range officer a little anxious. I know y'all are fine, but you know - stuff
Ive got the sar p8L which is basically a ported copy of the cz sp01 and the sights on that gun are not the same as czs. I had a helluva time finding a rear sight to fit and have not found a front sight at all. And aside from the trigger feeling mushie it shoots pretty good. I can generally shoot it better than my sp01 and not quite as good as my p07.
I have seen some adjustable sighted SARs and some of the adjustable sights aren't that solid....and I have encountered loose sights. I just unscrewed everything and locked down the mounting screws with locktite.....problem over.
Its more based off the Tanfoglio Stock lll. As far as internal parts go which the Tanfoglio Stock lll has many improvements over the CZ Shadow models including The CZ TS2. Especially with Tanfoglio's Stainless match grade bull barrels with polygonal rifling which are a vast improvement over CZ's cold hammer forged carbon steel barrels
Have to question your hand grip. Your off-hand (left) index finger is impeding your dominant hand (right) index/trigger finger. As a Military trained, IPSC/USPSA competitor, never seen that hold before.
I have one but no shots yet. Many noted the site screws loosen up over time. I been debating on putting some site paint on front. Not a fan of blacked out rear. Hard on my eyes to align height. Both blacked out will prove tougher. If you change them, let us know what fits. Thanks.
Please do a 1000 round review over the Arex Delta Gen 2. I purchased one right before you did your first video and I have about 500 rounds through it with 0 malfunctions of any kind. Seeing your first video has made me very curious.
Thank you for doing this review. I have been looking at these for several months considering it as a ‘beater’ option for my TS2 (take it out on 4-wheeler trips etc… without having to worry about something happening to it). But I was wondering what accuracy would be and how the trigger would actually feel. You can only get so much from looking at the specs. So again thank you. I was wondering if a trigger job would be practical.
I love the reasoning behind your purpose for the gun .... You'll understand when I say have specific guns for different mushroom seasons hahaha or white tail recovery ... A fellow man of culture
A buddy of mine found if you take the magwell off, CZ mags fit, but that is a bit of a con to a gun that specifically comes with one. You could probably replace it with a Tac sport magwell, or do a little DIY work if it means that much to you. But yeah, it feels like they just slapped the magwell on there to look more "Competition".
Dawson Precision Baby Desert Eagle fiber optic front sight was a direct fit for me. Lok grips made for Tanfo small frame/short are a perfect fit also. All of the internals are a direct fit for Tanfo small frame. I bought one of those about a year ago and for the price its a great shooter. I have 6 Sar USA products and they are all great. Big Daddy Unlimited has the K12 Sport for like $630 ish
The Sar P8L surprised me, Bulls eye on second shot.
That "just not in Iowa" was full of genuine pain. I hope you feel better
Great review if you change the sights point in the right direction so I can change mines to as well
Put a red on and made a remarkable difference. Mount 49306 from EGW and a 1degree shim and the dot is now zero.
Would be cool to see you review a Canik/Tristar P120.its Canik's version of a CZ SP01 and a very capable challenger.
I bet this one does too
Finally I been waiting for you to review this weapon I’ve own it for 2 months now just to hear your thoughts.
@@comacoda I used a Baby Eagle fiber optic front. That's about as close as it gets to the SAR dovetail.
I’d love to see you do a CZ SP01 Review (ideally the tactical with suppression height sights) as a budget alternative too
He has reviewed an SP-01
@@andyhenderson441 when I search I see he reviewed the P01 but not SP01 - and ideally the SP01 tactical with suppressor sights with a can
@@derekbutts1782 ha ha - kinda felt that way about the weight of my TSO- had a awesome trigger though
I had one a year or so ago. CGW trigger helped a lot. Good luck with the sights. I got a Dawson sight for the Baby Eagle and filed it down until the lettering on the bottom was gone and it would fit the dove tail. Hopefully, there is a better option now.
I bet these are the same adjustable rear sight they put on my SAR K2 45. That thing do comes loose frequently
The K12 name cracks me up. I feel like I'd constantly be cracking dad jokes like "I'm about to take you to school" before I do competitions etc 😆
I hope I can fix the sight situation. As always the best reviews.
When are you going to get a Tanfoglio on the channel and when are you going to compare it to the likes of a Shadow 2?
That would be awesome to see.
There is a tanfoglio on the channel
👍Awesome video, can't wait for the review. Hoping you get a aftermarket trigger (CZ, etc.) for it before the 1,000rnd👍
If you can find sights for it I would love to know where you get them. I have that pistol and hate the black on black sights
I have a sar p8L and it will outshoot my $1400 beretta 92x performance when it comes to accuracy.. it shoots great..
Cool review, like seeing you do something different from other companies. Sar is a good company, my edc is a P8s by Sar and its been a great gun for me, i had never heard of them either but once i held it and shot it, i was sold, and the price was great at the time too. Keep up the good work and look forward to all your videos.
@Chris G have heard good things about them ,but havent shot one, did finally see one at my local store the other wk and it def felt good in the hand. Have loved my p8s, alot heavier gun but i like an all steel gun. Anythg i have seen from Sar has been good quality.
Bought one. Its my favorite gun. Supper easy to shoot accurate out of box (Not sure what Honest Outlaws problem was?) Shoots better than CZ T2.
Never saw a 1000 round review on this. I'm having accuracy problems with mine, but hoping the Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight helps.
Gun looks great, but not going to add it to my safe anytime soon.. If you are having accuracy issues, I would not be able to hit a barn door with it!
Love the Sig 226 and 229. If you really want one, get the Legion series. They are one of the greatest pistols ever made!!! Such a solid handgun!!!
❤️ so glad to see this review
looks like Tanfoglio Limited Custom, its really a shame they dont answer when someone try to contact. I tried to contact them to buy one in Spain and they did not even answer...
I agree it looks like a Tanfoglio Limited, but I am sure this turkish gun is not of same quality, witnessed by the crappy grouping of shots.
Can you please keep us updated with 1000rounds review
I saw a review that said it was compatible with the cz mags… said they tried it and it worked fine..
Thanks for being honest about the groups. Any chance you guys might upgrade to 4K camera equipment?
not a camera issue, its an upload size issue, I live in rural iowa so we barely have internet lmao
Do a review on the sar 9 it’s a great budget gun and it’s amazing.
@Chris G Turkey in general
SAR, the bronze medal of Turkish gun manufacturers.
These are confirmed to fit:
Dawson Precision Desert Eagle Baby Eagle Fiber Optic Front Sights (.135" Tall x .125" Wide Ramped Serrated) 050-970
I put on the Baby Eagle sight and it worked great
Windage is adjustable by the screw on the right of the rear sight.
Chris unless the sights are different on yours, looking at pics of the gun windage appears to be adjustable on the right hand side 😉
Just acquired a K12 Sport X. Also had the spring kit installed and lok grips. Waiting for the front sight to come in. Ill let you know but I'm thinking it will be similar to what you get with a Hayes Rock Island lol.
I have this gun. Wasn’t a budget gun. Shoots like a dream. I paid 800+ for mine about a year and a half ago
Sometimes (6:00) when Mrs. Outlaw is out in front of your muzzle it makes my inner range officer a little anxious. I know y'all are fine, but you know - stuff
Sarsilmaz ❤️
Ive got the sar p8L which is basically a ported copy of the cz sp01 and the sights on that gun are not the same as czs. I had a helluva time finding a rear sight to fit and have not found a front sight at all. And aside from the trigger feeling mushie it shoots pretty good. I can generally shoot it better than my sp01 and not quite as good as my p07.
I have seen some adjustable sighted SARs and some of the adjustable sights aren't that solid....and I have encountered loose sights. I just unscrewed everything and locked down the mounting screws with locktite.....problem over.
I wanted the white and chrome one but never seen one in stock yet.
I've waited so long for this review, I would love the see the 1000 round review with new grips though... love the gun, hate those grips.
Pretty much exactly what I expected when I saw these online.
The bloodline of CZ75 keep rules!!!
Thanks.
I'll think with the addition of better sites and trigger it could be something to consider. I'll be eagerly waiting for your final review. 👏👍
So cool, and it is a beautiful gun😊
Also weird that the higher trim "K-12 sport X" with the slide cuts doesn't have the magwell.
