Learnings:
1. You dont need dsa or anything but C++ stl which is availed by striver himself.
2. Give every contest, no matter what, no matter when. Then UPSOLVE.
3. Topics are given in sequence, use them and follow them. Pick the topic search in google or his playlists. Then solve 10-15qs of it.
4. Maintain your git repo.
5. Do it cp with community

@@kaushik.aryan04it won't, bcoz time limit is different for different languages for ex. C++ will have time limit of 1 second whereas Java will have time limit of 2 second
is STL necessary for starting CP ? I am still learning C++ , and haven't reached there yet , I know till arrays ,fuctions ,strings ,I was wondering if I could start CP ?

This is good advice Striver. I've a request, can you also make similar videos in English? There are a lot of people like me who find it tough to understand Hindi and it would bring on a lot more students on board with your channel. Or at least, please give subtitles.

@Secret Thanks. I'm not actually against Hindi, as I'm partially into linguistics and epigraphy and I kind of believe that each and every language has a distinctive taste of sweetness.
Having said that, for a lot of people in the South, Hindi sounds totally different and most cannot understand it. Southern languages fall into a different language family altogether, and that means entirely the grammar, sentence structure, the vocabulary used, will all be different.
And English on the other hand, even though it's not a native Indian language, has already crept into the Indian scene. Both sides of the country needs English for today's job market. That is why I prefer any educational stuff to be in English rather than in a regional language. The reason again, is that this will give a wider audience, and if the content is in English, it will create an even bigger impact.

@@SriHarshaChilakapati Fair enough, but just as the people from south india speak their own state/regional language as well as english as an additional language, similarly the people from north india speak their own state/regional language as well as hindi as an additional language. So I can see how a case can be made for english as well as hindi.
I am fluent in English as well as Hindi so I don't usually participate in these Hindi vs English arguments because it's a futile exercise in my opinion. But I have noticed that many north indians enjoy ridiculing south Indians who speak in English, for not having a good command over Hindi.
But in actuality, their actions stem from their inferiority complex from not being able to speak English, because they recognise English as a global and more useful language ( let's be clear I said more useful, not better ).
This is evidenced by @deveshkumar2862 and his ridiculing reply to your explanation.

Let's describe the process more precisely. Let's say that the positions in the queue are sequentially numbered by integers from 1 to n, at that the person in the position number 1 is served first. Then, if at time x a boy stands on the i-th position and a girl stands on the (i + 1)-th position, then at time x + 1 the i-th position will have a girl and the (i + 1)-th position will have a boy. The time is given in seconds.
You've got the initial position of the children, at the initial moment of time. Determine the way the queue is going to look after t seconds.

Informative Video!! BUT I have a weird case - I want to become a good Competitive Programmer (like people who have good ratings on Codeforces or Google kickstart), and at the same time want to prepare for placements. Now C++ is the most widely preferred language for CP, whereas for company interviews Java is preferred because companies ask OOP questions and OOP is taught (or learned) in Java. My question - Which language should I continue with for both CP and interview prep? Or should I do both, Java for interview and C++ for CP?

@@ekansh907 I'm 1112(newbie) rated on Codeforces and solved over 300+ questions on all the coding platforms combined, I didn't work hard I feel like i should have done much much better if I worked hard enough. I'm in my 2nd year and trying to be better let's see what will happen in the future , managing time with college is a little bit challenging .
