My thoughts on this: I believe there is a season for singleness and that could be why you're single. It doesn't matter how nice you look or how many dates you go on, you will not meet the one. Stop focusing on why you're single and focus on your relationship with Christ ❤️.
Exactly! Jesus kept me from dating for 7 years because that was my time with Him. It's His timing not ours so let's not stress about it Jesus will bring the right person for you. 😊🙏

I believe when your single to enjoy your salvation with Christ & Let God clean you inside before having a spouse. People are so quick to tell single Christians you must be doing something wrong but in fact were not. The prize isn't marriage it's christ. This is a good video! I love the fact you guys said there's nothing wrong with us singles. Being single in 2019 difienlty isn't easy but know! God still has a plan & purpose! It doesn't matter your age God knows & remember no matter your status or testimony you can be used by God!

I've been single since I was 16, now I'm 22, I completely agree with point number 3, ALWAYS partner with God, when I thought I was ready to date, God had another thing in mind, I wasnt ready to venture into the dating and marriage scene. Had some bondage and some lessons I definently had to go through. I had to see what true covenant wasnt and now I know what True real covenant is. And now I'm coming into the season where God is ready to bring that special someone into my life. My wife is a promise for me and the way she correlates to my testimony. Our marriages will be a testimony and a ministry. (As all marriages should be) But I believe waiting for Gods yes is always a must. I wasnt ready for the dating scene or even marriage waiting 6 years and going through the trials and liberation I needed really helped, now I'm in the place where God has confirmed I'm ready and prepared to be a husband to a lovely lady, it's just about finding her ;)

@@PaulandMorgan sorry I have to ask, what if there is no-one to get know in your church (I don't mean for the sake of it as that'll be completely a bit daft ) however I know lot of people who are dating or even Married and I've been thinking alot lately, maybe I should look elsewhere. We often get hung upon the fact they have to be Christian straight off the bat otherwise there's no point. But yeah, I've never dated and even though I play electric guitar on worship team an I study music full time on a master's an have God given plans to be a session musican etc, I feel quite isolated. My church is very Very student being a student but there isn't anyone to get to know with potential of dating. Any advice

#3 resonated with me for sure. I’m currently working through a lot of depression / anxiety. It’s something I’m being treated for, and the intensity can be pretty unpredictable these days, so needless to say, I know I’m not ready for a relationship😂. Just wanted to share that in case anyone else is going through the same thing. If you’re ever afraid that you’re never going to “arrive” or that no one will ever love you because of what you’ve been through/are going through, think again. You’re not alone. Thoughts like that hit me everyday, but the important thing is whether or not I choose to believe them. It’s hard to be patient through a season like this, but we have to trust that God is working, even when we can’t see it happening in front of us. This is a real disease, so don’t let anyone make you feel less for experiencing it.❤️
Wow, a couple mounts i was thinking the same thing! And now I'm living normally again, God has deliver and helped me, He has been with me though these tests, know that it will be ok! If He can do it for me, He surely can for you! These words come from a person who has experienced similar thinks! It will be ok, He is with us through the valley, though the storm, trough the waters as the Bible says is Isaiah!

#3 not only involves how someone might be keeping themselves single, but also how God may be working in their lives to make marriage even better later on. This can include soooo many experiences and changes as God restores and builds us.
#4 is very true: it can be a learning curve for people desiring to live pure lives in our culture, can be very difficult to learn the self confidence to flirt with joy and freedom. But it can be done. :)

The last one really resonated with me and I think I needed to hear. I recently felt God telling me to Be Brave when I consulted him about a current crush I have, and I have always been so afraid of people thinking me flirty or them realizing I like a guy and them start to tease me about it - but it's just like you say! Dont worry about what people think! Especially if that fear is keeping you from possibly being with the person God has intended you to be with.

To add to the point about dressing nice, dressing nice isn't just about looking good for the sake of looking good, 1) it shows the other person that you take care of yourself and 2) that you care about /respect the place/event that you're at (for example dressing up for church or a friend's birthday party vs. getting groceries)

it depends how logic and introvert the guys is. logical introvert men miss a lot social cues. so if the guy really logical and introvert you just have tell him.
Brianna As a Christian single guy I find that difficult. Because I’m friendly and girls are friendly to me, but that won’t mean they’re interested. And at the other hand sometimes you recognize it but then it’s over the top and kind of awkward... For me (but I’m just 1 guy) it’s a huge turn on if a girl is really interested by asking direct questions. Not that socially acceptable questions but more sincere. Also to a certain point, because I hate it when it becomes a interview where I don’t see any deeper feeling from the girls side... So it’s more like can you keep a conversation going without feeling pressure. Kind of becoming friends and learn each other before you show more than just interest. So long answer, you don’t need to say I love you, but you shouldn’t just circle around without conversation, how would you learn to know him without talking?!
My best advice for people is just do life.....keep chasing after God and things will line up. Don't over think things. God puts people in your life at the right time and for a reason :). Good tips/advice though guys.

I'd love to hear you explain if it's okay for a girl to pursue a guy AND what exactly pursuing looks like. Recently, I've come across so many women at my church who are firm believers that it's the guys responsibility to pursue the woman (and I agree), but does flirting and/or showing interest fall in the category of pursuit? Most my female friends say it is, so they would NOT show interest until AFTER the guy engages them first. I feel flirting and/or showing interest is NOT part of the pursuit because I feel flirting is very much passive while pursing is non--passive and very intentional. Just saying some guys need a slight push and a little flirting may be the push they need.

To say I 100% agree with this video. I'm in my 30s and still single but when I look back my only regret is that I listen to my parents. The sad thing is they taught me that women should be seen and not heard and that I should sit around waiting for God to bring a man to my doorstep. All you young girls out there it's good to be patient and wait on God but the video is true because if I had to do over again I would have really put myself out there and got out and met people more. And I wouldn't have been afraid to show interest in men. I was always taught that it was wrong to come across this flirtatious or interested in someone but coming across cold and disinterested can also cause guys to think that you don't want to date when the opposite is really true

Actually there’s a very large and continuously growing gap between the genders. I believe it’s like 2x more women staying in the religion than men. So there is a very discouraging ratio of females to males. You better scoop up the next one you see, it might be the last

I’ve recently come across your videos and I’m so thankful to God. I have to admit that I had that energy, spontaneity and all around hope but now at almost 32 I feel spent after many years of dating and most recently a called off engagement. That feeling of utter defeat. God is working on me as He so lovingly does for His children. Maybe I’m meant to be single. Only God knows. I'm single because I want to be. The idea of marriage just never appealed to me. And sexual relations even less so. I finally accepted that it was ok for me to stay single. And celibacy has been wonderful! I am truly happy living this way!

Rani, it's not that easy for introverted people like myself. My job thankfully requires me to be extroverted, so it's been a blessing in disguise. However, once I'm home, I need downtime from too much socializing.
Why am I still single? It's because I want to be. I prefer solitude and being by myself. I like laying on my bed all to myself. I am free to live as I choose without the distraction of a relationship. The Apostle Paul affirms this choice in 1 Corinthians 7. My season is for the rest of my life!

wow this is so crazy because I - myself - am asking those questions of “what’s wrong with me?” because all my high school friends are dating but i have been dealing with issues with different relationships in my life and i’m realizing a lot about myself and i’m confident that it would not happen if i had a significant other. i’m glad this clarified things so thank you.

As a single woman who has grown up in church culture I can totally recognize thought patterns and just cultural expectations for what people “think” waiting and dating will look like.
The whole, “sit in your house and just wait for Prince Charming” thing is how I was taught as a young woman to believe and act when it came to my future relationships.
I believe that God is sovereign and could send someone (who is listening and obedient to the Holy Spirit) right into your life but I think that’s the exception and NOT the rule!
As a Christian woman now in my 20’s, I’m still learning what it looks like to honor God but also take steps outside of my comfort zone!
I desire a godly husband, so I have the opportunity to take steps towards that and I believe the Lord is leading me in those steps:)

Everyone has a period of their lives where they will be single. The difference is that its pretty much a given that as children we are single by mandate until we reach near adulthood. Its after that phase that it varies differently for each of us. I don't think the single phase was meant to last into our 30's for many biological and social reasons.

I don’t want to be single in my 30’s. Everyone around me is dating or engaged or planning on getting engaged. I haven’t enjoyed being single for months because it seems that God is skipping over me when I’m focusing wholeheartedly on my relationship with Him. I deeply care about others and want to succeed and find the one but it’s not happening. I commented on another video before I saw this one so sorry about that. There’s anxiety that I’ve been dealing with for a while and I believe sometimes things that aren’t true, so I know God wants to work on that with me. This is a great video.

The 4th point is so good! Oftentimes I find myself scared that I will come across flirtatious just talking with a guy, but God told me I'm only worried about what others will think, and that I care too much. Yes, if you want to start a relationship and be in one, you will have to be out there someday anyway. When you're an official couple everyone will know that, so what's the difference if you start talking with the person already now. Also, I rather think that when a girl speaks to a guy, the guy may not even get that she's interested in him. Only talking doesn't mean anything, but talking can lead to a relationship. We may send hints which we think are clear, but the other person will miss those completely, maybe because it has become so common for people to communicate in a flirty way without even knowing it. I noticed that the way other girls speak to my crush is more flirty, so maybe he won't get that I'm actually interested in him. So have to try a different way...
This comment may seem contradictory, but that's because of the war inside. I feel flirty when I'm actually not that flirty at all. And I'm scared to maximize it because maybe then I will be noticed!

I'm 25 and i know for a fact that i'm keeping myself single, but i think it's for a good reason. I'm only about a year into really rebuilding my faith and a relationship with God and I know the Godly qualities i want in a man, but at the same time i know that i need to work on myself to become a Godly woman so that when i meet him he doesn't have to question anything.

I like the advice, but do you guys think that a Christian should wait on God to bring a boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse to you or is it okay to go and look for one yourself? Honestly, though, I don't really know any girls that could fit the bill of a Christian girl I am interested in, right now.
Of all these reasons, “there might be something wrong with you” is probably the most common. So many habits/quirks people do that they aren’t aware of that keep people away.
I'm single and god showed me that's okay for now. Not stressing anything, for putting myself out there wd be too hurtful for me right now. Before there was a guy and he DID actually just walk into my life like prince charming and he pursued me and all of that good disneyland-stuff. (and i was rly never caring about my looks whatsoever) so girls and also boys if you trust god he'll make it work, don't get all worked up and trying to push things where god could be the one fighting for you. (Not tryin to boycott ur advice, just sayin, we have a god who'll get us there even if we're more the shy/introvert kinda type)

Where would you suggest Christian singles go to meet guys? I work during opportunities at my church and don't have a ton of friends. My work environment is all women too.
I think maybe every now and then give yourself a break at church so that you can actually take part in events. And maybe get on a christian dating site. :)
Honestly, as of right now I'm in the military and currently deployed and am going to go overseas my next contract. I don't want to put pressure on my significant other right after we knew each other for a little while. Or get caught up in something that may be harder on her, I have to focus on myself as of right now. There's so much I want to accomplish in this season of singleness, and being in a relationship may not be the best idea that God has for me as of right now.

Our advice is that one day, you're going to get married. Whether it's to him or not. And your friendship with him will change a lot. So no matter what, your relationship with him will look different at some point. So if you think he could be the one, then give it a chance! :)

I agree with all this my problem is im super shy and quiet person( introvert ) and i just struggle to comunicate with girls i just freeze up and cant get my words out and i keep hearing each week the pastor saying in his message or on yutube or even out of the blue a friend or random person at church will say you need to just do it step out so what if you get rejected by girls i agree that this is God talk to me and i want to talk to this girl at church i like but i need to get over my fear and shyness any help here. Im not desperate im trying to take the next step in my life im only 23 so i also got a lot to learn.

Yes, harsh title. It is absolutely 100% acceptable to be single. There is way too much pressure in the church to get married. While we are at it, there is no "right" person or "The One" or "the right time".
Take a step back and realize you are a young married couple giving out advice to other [young], but single people. It just doesn't add up. Perhaps you could better serve by shifting your focus to an audience of other young married couples, rather than emphasizing and speaking to singles.

Sometimes it can be, that there maybe couple of guys interested in the same girl that you are interested in or the girl that you are interested in, is interested in someone else or vice versa. So its not easy to get 2 persons who are mutually interested in each other.
I really appreciate your videos. Very opitionated and love it. In today's world where being out there is a lot of freedom but mind the restrictions are there too, it's important that the folks will get your point of view. A lot of people have the ideology that if you dont see a future with someone don't date, I mean how will you know if he's meant for you unless you get to know him. Like date= marriage. Having said that, I think its imp that when you're dating someone the future should be thought about too. But dating or to show interest in someone doesn't make you ungodly.

I’m single because I’ve never been any females type. I had two “girlfriends “ in my life. But they either went out with me out of pity or to use me. I was 24 then, now I’m 51. I’ve never been married. I have no family or kids of my own. I keep asking God to take away this desire to be married. I don’t want it anymore.
Yes!! The flirtatious one! Soo good. That's my problem. Haha. It's hard for me to switch from mom mode to single woman mode. I've worked hard on my healing and get the comments from people all the time of "why are you single?!?" Like it doesnt make sense. Haha. But that is a big one for me.

Most of these only apply to someone in their 20's, as a 37 year old single, it's almost impossible to "get out there" unless it's the bar scene. Not going to meet quality christian women there. I'm past the young adult age, those groups are so far removed in age from my own that I don't belong. Most everyone in the church my age is already married. The dating sites seem to be of no value unless you're physically attractive, even the christian dating sites are like this. Where does one in my circumstance go?
One of my problems is I don't look like a stud like Paul there 😅 plus I'm an introvert which doesn't help either.
