Look i love doulie and his content, but if my daughter chose to do this type of shit that doesn't mean i failed as a father it simply means she wants to be a fast little girl that doesn't wanna follow rules.
a lot of the time it means you failed to monitor and watch over them, or you’ve neglected them to the point where they turn to the internet and other people for comfort and help. Children that do this don’t just do this. They’ve been taught that the only people who will understand them is people online or their friends. Simply being there for your kid will probably make it unlikely they’ll do this. So instead of hurting or constantly yelling at your kids and inducing fear into them to make them “behave” be there for them early on and more from there. Don’t say words that hurt, say words that help.
I would say just monitor what she does on the internet and have talks with her every now and then. Let her know she’s loved and appreciated and also let her know that she has her own mind and her own body and that she doesn’t have to impress no one but herself. You also let her know that she shouldn’t be doing anything that she is uncomfortable doing and shouldn’t be influenced by her friends to do so. She should turn out like a wonderful young woman if you just be there for her and let her know that you’re always there with advice when she needs it. But you also have to start young so she truly knows that she can tell you anything. 👍
