    Can I ask a question, that is, if the material is linear srgb, then there is aces space in nuke. I need to import the linear srgb material, but the color is wrong. How can I correct it? Looking forward to your answer

    This is great, thank you so much! Quick question, what do your Aftereffects 2023 project settings look like? AE have built in ACES into their project settings but the colours are crazy different so I'm trying to find the best settings for your workflow.

      Project Settings > Color, here are my settings, Depth: 32 bit, Working Space: None, Interpolation: Trilinear, and Working Gamma: 2.4 Rec 709. I hope this helps.

    I don’t really understand why you need to click on preserve rgb, what does it do? when I press , the colors change from correct to incorrect, provided that I have working space linearize ?

    • @guymicciche144
      @guymicciche144 Год назад

      Well, for 32-bit images, if you click on "Preserve RGB", After Effects bypasses the default gamma correction, allowing AE to maintain the fidelity and accuracy of the images. Basically in that linear color space, you can color correct, grade, do your compositing, VFX, while still accessing the full spectrum of luminance and color values whatever you want. But I mean, if your images looks good, and you don't care about it matching across your VFX pipelines, then don't check it. Work with what works for you to get the best images and animations! :)

    Sir, I put in ACES 1.2 In Maya's OCIO config, My setting is ' Rendering Space:ACES-ACEScg, Display:ACES, View:Rec.709 ' ,So I always see images as rec.709 setting in Nuke and Substance painter..
    I wonder why you prefer sRGB to Rec.709, And is there a problem with my Maya ACES setting?

    • @guymicciche144
      @guymicciche144 Год назад +1

      Rec.709 is standard for HD video, so if you want it, use it. The difference is so small, you most likely won't notice any change. I use sRGB because I mostly do animation projects, but if I were putting CG into video, I would probably use Rec.709.

    Hello sir, Its good explanation I have one question. I have footage which is srgb and I wantto match 3d object .When I work in maya Aces profile its totally different color space as expected but I have to check original footage to match 3d render colors,lights ect for my 3d object. Is there any solution for it? Basicly how can I match 3d object with real footage which is srgb?

    • @guymicciche144
      @guymicciche144 Год назад

      If you're using NUKE or DaVinci, in your case, the steps I believe are pretty straight forward. You need to put your sRGB footages into Acescg color space. Perhaps you can use the OCIOColorSpace node in NUKE or Aces Transform node in DaVinci. Do the color adjustments. Then your final node should be another color space node to transform from Acescg to sRGB or Rec709 whatever you deliver to. So to summarize, the steps are to convert your footage from it's original color space into Acescg using a color transform, do your color correction, and then transform everything into your deliverable color space. If you want a full technical breakdown, you can watch this video: ruclips.net/video/vGLfWL-qTPs/видео.html I hope this helps you get started :)

    I don't understand why they have to make the download process so complicated... it should just take one click to download the whole file we need, but they decided to put each component in different pages.

      I pasted the direct link. Your browser might mark it as spam, so just look at your download options. In my browser when I click the link, I go to the download section, click the 3 dots menu and select "Keep". This worked for me. Thanks!
